Hotel Lindo Ajijic Bed & Breakfast
"This hotel is a lovely, quiet oasis in Ajijic, with a view of the lake and mountains. Our room was spacious and spotlessly clean, with a large glass shower facing the outdoor veranda. It's a bit of a walk to town to get dinner or lunch, about 8-10 minutes, crossing over the busy main road. The Malecon is a pleasant stroll in the morning and at sunset along the lake front, with benches and palm trees to relax looking out at the view. The hotel offers a fresh cooked breakfast in the morning on the shaded veranda by the pool. The pool, jacuzzi and lounge chairs are clean and comfy, with large pool towels provided. We especially enjoyed the hammock on the lawn for reading. The lobby has snacks, soft drinks and wine for purchase at reasonable prices. The staff is quick to respond to requests. We would return to this hotel and highly recommend it."Show more

Hotel Casa Blanca
"This is the sweetest bed and breakfast. Staff was so helpful and there is a bar... Breakfast was free and it was wonderful, fresh fruit, coffee, orange juice, cereal, toast, yogurt.... very nice for a hard day of shopping. Shops are just down the street and restaurants within blocks...We had the nicest stay... "Show more

Donaire Hotel Boutique
"We booked this hotel with the understanding that it was "English speaking” and “senior” friendly. We arrived Tuesday afternoon and were greeting by a very nice young lady that did not speak English. The check-in process was very awkward to say the least. Unlike other hotels who put a card on “file” and charge your account on check out the young lady charged the whole amount to our AMEX upon check in. This hotel, while generally nice, requires a two block climb up a street that is at a 45 degree, then 4 flights of stairs to the room. This is not senior friendly. I had to carry four suitcases up and four suitcases down. We were the only guest in hotel which made things a bit eerie. Some evenings the lights were on s not. Further the neighborhood was tenuous, we did not feel comfortable walking home at night.
After six nights, my wife could not deal with it anymore and we made other arraignments. As previously mentioned the two staff members, again nice, did not speak English. I w"Show more
