I have never met such an amazing helpful and kind staff. Starting with the check-in at reception and check-out i just had great memories at the Hotel. I can not do justice with words regarding the hotel staff. They were simply amazing. Room: The rooms were cleen and well maintained. Great ambience and I can assure the comfortable stay with nothing but just great vibes. Food: Again I cant justify the quality of food. I had a Candel light dinner at the place and it was an holesome experience. The food with the rich taste and flavours was simply exotic and I would like to compliment the Sheff Jagdeesh for his ingenuity with the flavours of Andaman. Overall a 5 Star Experience at a cost of 3 Star. This is the Hotel I would like to stay every time i visot Havelock. Regards

This place should definitely be on everyone’s must-see lists, and I pray that tourists keep treating it with care and respect the wild nature around it! The resort is located at the best part of Radhanagar beach, and I have never seen such a beautiful beach before - with the water so clear and the sand so white and soft, perfect for swimmers throughout all day. The view fascinated me: you look right, you look left, and all you can see is the gorgeous beach, magnificent tall trees behind you and azure waves in front of you. And barely any people:) We would spend all day in the water, and then - all the amenities you need are there by just a one minute walk through the jungle. So don’t be scared you’d feel lonely or unsafe here - the other way round, you’ll feel comfortable and looked after all the time. The service is great here! Many thanks to the hospitable manager of the hotel who made our stay special and provided us with a lot of interesting information about the endemic flora and fauna of the Andaman and Nicobar islands, as well as about the local tribes. The wi-fi at the reception is faster than anywhere else on Havelock, I think:) The restaurant serves true delicacies. Breakfast is splendid: though it is not a buffet, you can order anything you like, and it is included. Thanks to Prathima who has always been friendly and recommended us a dish called daab chingri which is prawns in cream sauce in a coconut - a must-try! We appreciated the eco-friendly approach of this resort. Their credo is to coexist organically with the other inhabitants of the forest and to minimise the damage of the civilisation to the wildlife. The tented villa we stayed at was perfectly comfortable and spacious enough for three of us, and we loved the atmosphere! We had plenty of drinking water provided, there was a good AC, a fridge, a safe, a nice kettle with teas and coffees, as well as shampoos, beach towels and mats etc. We didn’t use the mosquito net since we haven’t seen any mos

I stayed 3 nights in Munjoh and loved every minute. As a not-so-young female solo traveler I always felt safe and comfortable in a resort that included families, newlyweds and couples. Every day I did a different activity, including a bike tour along a fabulous beach and inland roads, snorkeling and kayaking. I toured the island by bike and by tuk-tuk, all arranged by the hotel, and had a ton of fun. Their beach is lovely as are many of the near by beaches. I will go back --as soon as I can---I have a couple of more things I have to do as I ran out of time on this visit, including definitely wanting to do more scuba diving with an amazing divemaster (best on the island) and do an overland hike into Elephant beach (with an amazing activities director). Looking forward to it.

Best location best ambiance and best hotel in the Havelock . Believe me guys I too was suspicious before bookings because of reviews but guys it is the best as far as stay location ambiance or complimentary breakfast is concerned and no need to book sea facing cottages they are expensive and sea is hardly a distance . it's my second visit in Andaman and i have to stay there staff is so good rooms are neat and in front of the beach meeting amit there itself is a fun and he is very nice guy.

The resort is located in Beach No. 5, a perfect location with the option of a lot of restaurants and attractions around. The hotel itself is nicely decorated, there is absolute privacy between rooms. The hotel has an excellent restaurant, where the food was amazing. The hotel staff were friendly and very nice, they helped us with everything needed (exchanging money, booking ferries, airline tickets, etc.). Must praise especially the hotel manager - Ashraf "The king of the Havelock Island" made our stay at the hotel just perfect. It is recommended to take stylish rooms, walk to the beach takes 2 minutes. In conclusion- the perfect place for a perfect vacation :) We we were at the hotel for 19 nights !!

The location of the resort is great. The sea face is close by. Although a rocky beach, it is worth spending hours at the beach bench watching the sea change its myriad shades. We stayed at Andaman Lagoon and Andaman cottages. Both types of rooms offer value for money.....very clean and well maintained. The cottages are made of high quality wood. The washrooms are decent and provide all accessories of good quality. The greenery and the pathways in the resort are well maintained. There is a small play area for kids. The only thing that needs considerable improvement is their room service and house keeping. The service was horribly slow, taking upto 45 minutes to serve tea in the rooms and required several reminders. The breakfast buffet spread can be further improved. We wanted to have ala carte dinner but the restaurant staff persuaded us to go for buffet option to avoid their additional work. They need to be more customer service oriented. Overall a great and pleasant stay. I wish we had stayed longer.

The best hotel and the best beach on the East coast! We’ve explored the East coast all the way from the jetty to the very south of the island, and can ensure you that Silver Sand beach resort totally has the one and only beach perfectly suitable for proper swimming there. The water is clear, so is the sand - the staff carefully looks after it, and even during the low tide it is amazing to swim in the sea and then sunbathe in hammocks or lounge chairs (provided for free). The rooms are luxuriously spacious and tastefully styled, the TV has plenty of Bollywood channels you could enjoy even without understanding a word:) There is a lot of delicious local food in the restaurant, and we are immensely grateful to the hotel manager for arranging an unforgettable birthday dinner for us on the top floor terrace so that we could enjoy the stars. The hotel is located right at the beach and has a very pretty territory around it with coconut trees and cute paved roads. It allows you to enjoy the beautiful nature in civilised, safe and comfortable conditions. We totally loved it! We felt looked after, and we felt like home at the same time. The buses to the jetty or to the market are not that regular, but it is always possible to take a rickshaw or taxi anywhere you like. Many thanks to the staff for making our stay outstanding and stress-free!

Our family had one of the best beach resort stays in the Coconuts beach resort. We booked 3 huts. Walking to the beach in the morning with a hot cup of tea and enjoying the nice breeze is an experience I will never forget. Sitting on the beach with my kids in the night, looking at the sky with not a single airplane or artificial blinking light in the sky, going over the constellations is something we will never forget. The Bharatpur beach is about a KM from this resort and you can walk along the beach to reach it. This resort was excellent value for money compared to the resorts on havelock. Wish we had stayed here longer instead of havelock. The staff was super flexible and helpful and they tried to accomodate every request we made. On the flip side, Food needs to be pre-booked (other than breakfast). Make sure you are ordering early enough and also confirm that the time when it will be ready works for you when ordering. If what you want is a relaxing vacation and not a hectic tourist trip, I would recommend staying on Neil island rather than Havelock.

The Flying Elephant Resort is one of the best in the islands. Pros: 1. Location wise the resort is presently the last resort on the way from jetty to Kalapathar Beach...thus you can enjoy full isolation from the outside world. 2. We were lucky enough to stay there on days which had clear skies. Lack of settlements and thus light pollution meant that the Milky Way Galaxy was visible with naked eyes. 3. The staff is very friendly and accommodating, anything you may need, just ask Praveen, he'll get it done. 4. The in-house restaurant serves a nice combination of Continental and Indian food. 5. They have a tie-up with Andaman Bubbles, so all your water activity (scuba etc) needs are taken care of. Cons: 1. You need to rent a scooter/bike to move around, as it's bit far from the main market area. Plus it's really dark after sunset, be careful while driving. 2. No net connectivity, other than BSNL no other network works. 3. They have pet cats and chickens and wild geckos moving around

Hotel is well located near the airport and you can walk there! Staff are very friendly and helpful and nothing is too much for them and the food was excellent and the staff and in particular Charan advises you on the dishes and the chef cooked the best fish in Andaman!! I would recommend you to book this hotel for your stay in Port Blair

He treated us like a family If you don't believe me look at the reviews for this hotel "The Shelter" you'll understand Rooms make you feel you're at your home. Staff also so friendly. Must visit this place if you going to stay at portblair Other important Pro's: Place is very near to Jetty which will take you to North bay island, Ross Island and corby cove beach. Also its close to many other city tour places like museums, airport and many other places. You've a view of ocean from the balcony Ranjith helps you in booking anything... I mean it. He tells you the truth about each and everything just ask him thats enough Con's: You'll get attached to this hotel if you stay for more than one night 😂 If you've any questions you can contact Ranjith directly instead of calling their landline which is answered by call center.

Nice clean property with polite staff. The view from the rooms is good and they are spacious. But there are a few things lacking. A working WiFi with internet is required. They had a WiFi which was not working and they did not even make an attempt to fix it. Secondly, the options in the restaurant were limited. The waiters and manager kept complaining about the difficulty in getting produce to Andaman because everything is imported from mainland. When I asked why they do not have enough options for sea food, one of them said most of the dishes in Andaman are not edible. That seemed ridiculous because other restaurants have more options.

The hotel is located right at the sunset point on the island only problem was there was still some construction work going on.. however the staff and workers were courtesy and tried their best to avoid work during odd hours.

Pros: 1) Very close to jetty. 2) Close to sea with mind blowing views. 3) Supportive staff to arrange 2 wheelers and attend to any issues in room 4) Food was very good. Cons: 1) pickup and drop to be provided by hotel on complimentary basis. It's very short distance, they can easily afford and bring customer delight. 2) Wi-Fi available only near reception. 3) There was only one channel coming in TV. Pl include more especially English news. Overall, good place though it's bit costly.

I booked this as a transit stay after completing my entire trip of Andaman before boarding my flight back. After experiencing their hospitality, I have only one regret that WHY I MISSED TO BOOK THIS FOR MY ENTIRE STAY IN PORTBLAIR DURING MY TRIP? . My wife and little daughter gave number one to this among-st all the different hotels we stayed during our trip. Definitely going to book this hotel and recommend my friends to stay here. It is not like a hotel but "A Home Away from Home". They even assist you in local tour planning and travel arrangements. Nice Location. Exactly at the city center overlooking sea. Well done and keep it up.

It was one of the best resort of my andaman tour. Situated near vijay Nagar beach. Good beach and Hotel and staff. Everything fine

Nice place for one last Hurrah when you wrap up your Andaman trip. Rooms are comfortable. Food is good and service is reasonably quick. Breakfast spread was OK. The selection needs a bit more imagination. Wifi is non-existent, but that's so with most places in A&N. However, the credit card machine worked at the time of checking out.

The stay was comfortable but there are plenty of mosquitoes and the phone did not show any signal in our room. There is no wifi available in the room and that in the lobby is too slow. However, the staff is friendly and helpful. The pool side bar is good. I recommend this hotel to travellers,

I only stayed at the resort for one night but was very impressed. The hotel staff was very helpful and friendly. Five star amenities including a salt water swimming pool. The view of the Bay is spectacular with a dock just below that kids were fishing from in the morning. The restaurant was okay, nothing special. Breakfast buffet was pretty good, mainly Indian food but some western features as well. The hotel is very clean and in fact when I arrived I had a shower and went down to the restaurant for dinner, when I returned to my room it had been cleaned, the bathroom wiped down with fresh towels already there. It's beautifully furnished and the bed was extremely comfortable (not always the case in other Indian hotels as I have discovered). There is wi-fi available but you are charged extra for it at the rate of 90rs (about $2usd) per hour.

kindvand very helpful staff. food was nice for lunch and dinner complimentary breakfast is not that great. wifi only in reception and Andaman has only 2g . 3g rarely some areas. here 2g was also bad. 10 min from airport. 4/5 overall rating

I have visited this hotel during my honeymoon at Andaman. Hotel staff is quite supportive and hotel reception is good. Internet at reception was better than other hotels I stayed Port Blair. Room and other amenities were good. No specific view can be seen from hotel rooms. Definitely recommend.

The place is amazing, MUCH more comfortable than the Emerald Gecko at Havelock. The room was clean, bed comfortable and hot water is available. The resort is about a minute from Sitapur beach (which we had mostly to ourselves). The staff is extremely friendly and helpful and even went out of the way to arrange a surprise (rasgulas, as cake wasn't available on the island) for my friend's birthday. The port is about 15 mins by auto/cab. And the reception can help you call an auto/cab to drive around the island if you want. Our stay here was extremely comfortable and was probably the best we booked in the Andamans.

I was a bit apprehensive after booking the Hotel. But it was a right choice. The rooms and bathroom are clean. No insect or cockroaches as I read in reviews. The look of cottages was certainly heart pleasing. On top of that, the beach which is located just next to the Resort. It was raining slightly when I reached Havelock. I was informed that there won't be any boat to Elephant Beach. For 1 hour I enjoyed at the adjacent beach where only we were there, then the sky opened up and we proceeded to Elephant beach. Cons: Resort is slightly away from main area towards Kalapathar Beach. The fooding is costly but acceptable since it is Havelock away from mainland.

It is not a hotel in its conventional sense.... owner claims it home stay...but it is even more than that! A true hidden gem in Port Blair, especially for the family people, who travel with their young kids! Owner takes personal care. But Mandal is available for 24*7 for any kind of help you require. Mandal will bring breakfast, lunch, dinner, evening tea for you or even arrange vehicle, booking of ships, local sight-seeing! Free wi-fi and breakfast, well-appointed big rooms, Water filter with RO facility (means you need not buy mineral water bottles!), common dining room, sitting area with comfortable sofa, and a small library are available for you! Aberdeen Bay of Port Blair, Ross and North Bay Islands can be clearly seen from its 2nd floor balcony or from the rooftop of the Andaman Ocean Breeze!

Pros would be the location and food. The resort overlooks couple of the harbours and is very beautiful. It is close by to many attractions like cellular jail, harbours to reach Havelock and Ross island. Cons being it is not unmarried couple friendly.

Great Place to Stay, just dont consume food at Gold India, its damn expensive, hotel outside Gold India serve tasty and value for money food. Gold India is great place to stay and have fun, the beach attached to it is excellent... Highly recommend people to stay at Gold India Beach Resort ...

This property is rated as four or five stars on some travel sites but make no mistake this is not more than three stars. It is expensive and far from the main city. All said, the property itself is set amidst beautiful landscapes and the beautiful wandoor beach is just a stone throw away from the cottages. we stayed in deluxe rooms and there are more costly deluxe cottages also as an option. we stayed as 4 adults and 4 young children for 5 nights from 26th Dec till 31st December. we booked about 4 months in advance through agoda and were charged about 60k with inclusive breakfast and extra beds. with respect to things to do, there is a well maintained swimming pool. for the more adventurous types, you can do the snorkelling and scuba options but you need to have your own snorkelling and scuba kits. There are 2 dining options in separate restaurants one for buffet (550 Rs per buffet) and a-la-carte.Both the buffet and a-la-carte have limited spread and options and they are prepared nicely.

Booked Gold Star as interested in individual cottages. But due to off season the management gave Suite room in a hotel opposite to this resort for one night. later night i requested for change to cottages where they gave me a beach view cottage. The veg food is good but do not go for rice in these Islands. Staff are friendly Suit room is awesome, later cottage ion another place called (Gold India) are little small. they have common walls, older bath fittings.

We traveled as a group with 2 young children & we stayed in Andaman Castle for 4 nights in Jan 2019. Andaman Castle was a good choice. The hotel is not perfect, it is not located at the heart of the city, it is tough to get regular transport - auto, taxi, bus, etc., but otherwise the stay was rewarding. Andaman Castle is located on the East coast of the island, the view of the sunrise is a rewarding experience. This is not a commercial hotel, this is more like a home-stay, and so the owner & the staff make sure that there is a personal touch to the otherwise professional relationship. The rooms and especially the washrooms were clean. The staff was very friendly and they took care of our meals. The food is hot and fresh and tastes delicious. The icing on the cake is the owner - he is extremely friendly & an outgoing person. Pros: Good location, Cleanliness, Friendliness of staff, Quality of food. Cons: Away from city, Food sometimes gets late, Wifi is available only in reception.
