"Bad dinner experience, under expected with food and service. Waitress served with uncomfortable face and not ready to service all times. Food served as slowness every dishes had to ask for follow up. We waited for only dessert more than half an hour after followed 3 times! Room was normal. "Show more

"The hotel is in the center of the town. Only 3 minutes walk from the traín staition. So thankfull to the recepcionist for her professionalism, attention and for making us feel at home! Breakfast buffet Was complete, everything fresh and delicious. We had a very pleasant stay! We would love to visit the hotel Hecht again in the near future. "Show more

Restaurant Hotel Stossplatz
"Conveniently located across from the Appenzell train station. About 5 minutes stroll to reach the town centre. We had a room facing away from the railway tracks. With the windows closed, we could not hear the trains. With the windows open, it was inenvitable to hear the distant rumble of the train when it passed through town but it was not a nuinsance as it was not very loud.
Despite the outside appearances, it has a very watm and friendly atmosphere. Clean rooms, comfortable beds and very good value for money as compared to other places in Appenzell which costs a fair bit more.
Family run hotel with very friendly hosts. Nice spread of European breakfast buffet every morning and good set meals which changes everyday."Show more
