beautiful residential architecture. I keep wanting to stop and take pictures of the beautifully keep houses and gardens.
Bring long underwear for winter stays.
Armidale is nothing much, but it was my first residence in Australia, when I was a lecturer at the University of New England.
Unfortunately our stay this time was over Easter, when no students were there and the place was virtually dead apart from some shoppers from the surrounding countryside.
We visited Armidale for the Uni. But were impressed with the area as a whole. The locals were very friendly, the information centre was enormously helpful and good coffee was not hard to find.
Whilst we only saw a limited range of the area I am keen to go back and explore further. The countryside is beautiful and different to many other areas of NSW. There are also wineries to visit and walks to do. I am keen to return.
