Pros - the staff kindly picked us up and dropped us off at the station, great breakfast selection, comfortable and clean room, lovely surrounding views and walking along the local river into Bad Gastein. The hosts were polite and kind. Hot water, WIFI and cable TV was very good also. Cons - a little out of town (approx 40min walk) but we knew this, wish more info was given (printed or verbally upon check in) on the facilities as well as getting into Bad Gastein ie a printed map of the area and info on bus into town would be useful, and maybe some recommendations for places to eat/things to do.

I stayed 3 nights, and I enjoyed my stay very much! It's a house established in 1838,well kept, still beautiful and in good condition. My room is superior double, with one living room and a small bed room.living room has a lovely view of waterfull and nice autumn breeze,I love sitting there reading. TV has only one english channel which is from Russia, interesting. I prefer if they could provide CNN or BBC. the bedroom is relatively smaller. I ordered a double bed, it turned out they push 2 small bed together, but there is a ditch in the middle which is very uncomfortable. I wish they could provide a real queen size bed. The bathroom is very satisfying! It's spotless, spacious, in excellent condition! decorated in a lovely country + victorial style, served with good quality cotton towels and bath robes. I was absolutely happy with this room. Another good thing about this hotel it's the restaurant. You can't miss this one, because it's best in the town. try the fish soup, it's fatastic! the taste of heaven. Breakfast is included in room rate, good combination, very satisfying too. And the restaurant prices very reasonably.

The location is perfect for skiers / hikers / just a few steps from the slopes. There is a nice spa 'Felsenbad' just next door. Although is is a youth hostel, it's not noisy at all... and the staff are very nice! If you plan a skiing or hiking trip and don't want to spend much on accommodation, just go for it! Good value for that money.

The staff was kind and helpful. Their restaurant provide delicious food and perfect snowy scenery! We love their bread from local bakery very much!

Room is very basic, dust at ventilator Staff are extremely friendly n helpful. Excellent breakfast.

When was the payment I was surprised the invoce because of the amount was Higher was 30% than the price list
