The Apurva Kempinski Bali
Nusa Dua,Bali - View on map
"This hotel does everything right it was absolutely perfect it really does have a wow factor. I’ve stayed in over 2000 hotels this is probably the best, seriously I just don’t see how they could make it any better. Check in was slow I guess and I made 500 photos in just 1 nights stay. Every corner you turn takes your breath away. Only open 3 months so got s good deal, it’s the best hotel in the area and I expect the best hotel in Bali. Very impressed. "

RIMBA Jimbaran BALI by AYANA
Jimbaran,Bali - View on map
"Best hotel in Bali. I felt really special and welcomed by staff. Staff welcomed us with flower garland while entering the hotel. Staff were really friendly, helpful and always smiling. I booked this hotel because both rimba and ayana have beautiful pools , restaurants and priority access to rock bar. Being the guest of Rimba we were given the best seat at rock bar. I would highly recommend this hotel. I cannot thank enough to the hotel and staff. We checked out at 12:00 but we had flight at 20:00. Staff allowed us to stay at the hotel and use all the facilities. This really made our day. "

Aksari Resort Ubud
Ubud,Bali - View on map
"I hope to return to Bali and visit this property again. We had a very plush, relaxing time. Gorgeous views of the greenery of Ubud, delicious and ample breakfast was included, and our private villa was a level of luxury we had never experienced. Staff was attentive and super accommodating. Little details like our names written in the fruit on our breakfast bowls or towel animals created just for us were a nice and welcoming touch. The restaurants had good food with multiple options. Excellent stay!"

The Kayon Jungle Resort
Ubud,Bali - View on map
"We stayed at the kayon jungle for the first 4 nights of our honeymoon and were completely blown away. The resort absolutely breathtaking and the setting is just perfect. The food there isn't the best we've ever had but everything was had was tasty. Cocktail hour was a personal favourite of ours. It literally is free cocktails (whatever you want) for an hour with really yummy canapes. Even though the resort was fully when we were there it felt half empty and really personal. What makes this resort so special however is the staff. They literally cannot do enough for you. They go out of their way to quickly learn your names and personal likes and dislikes. Little touches like ringing to ask if you'd like to make dinner reservations or telling the other staff your allergies beforehand. All the people we have met in Bali have been so lovely but the staff in the kayon, especially the butler's are another level. Don't hesitate in booking this hotel. There's a reason it's all over Instagram. "

More about Bali

Bali is a world away from the rest of Indonesia, and a longtime favorite with international travelers. Surfers have been coming here since the 1930s, but it wasn't until the 1960s that surfing vacations to Bali became the popular thing to do. Today, the trend continues and Bali sees as many surfers as it does affluent resort tourists.

Indonesia may have the world's largest Muslim population, but Bali fosters its own distinct culture. Hinduism has flourished here for nearly 2,000 years. Away from the beaches are fascinating Hindu temples, cultural exhibitions, terraced rice fields, and colorful festivals.

Kuta is the busiest resort district in Bali, featuring some of the top luxury hotels in Bali. Behind the main waterfront is a spread of budget guesthouses that are still within easy walking distance of the beach. From here it's a short trip by taxi or rented motorbike to Uluwatu, a massive limestone peninsula jutting out in the sea. Tourists visit Uluwatu to see the temple, go surfing, or watch the sunset over the majestic cliffs.

Legian is another must-see, as it offers an excellent surf along with exciting nightlife along the beach. Life in Legian begins and ends on the beach. Surf shops give lessons by day, and then give way to lively bars and live music venues after sunset. There is a reason that Bali is often referred to as paradise, and much of it is evidenced by a visit to the many beaches.
