Hotel Villa Ca' Sette
"Apparently there are not many other quality establishments in the area, so I picked up this one. Having been raised in Bassano myself, I thought that the place, with a great view of both the valley and the city, would offer a very pleasant experience to my foreign guests.
Unfortunately, since day one I only had to deal with their complaints: upon arrival, we were trapped one hour and half in the elevator. In other establishments, such inconvenience would be enough for having one night or a meal for free; so my three guests were appalled when all they were offered was a medium-size beer.
In the room - and in the restaurant - we had to fight with stinkbugs day and night.
The breakfast was quite poor, and most food didn't get replaced (however, the boy in charge of the breakfast room, together with the lady at check out, were probably the only positive aspects of our stay).
On the first day we were exhausted, so we tried the restaurant. We found the food so-so and the service unbearably presumptuous. When we asked for four small dishes to share the food we were told by a waitress who apparently never had the time to wait at the table for more than 5 seconds that "the dishes we already have are big enough"; so I had to walk to the kitchen and repeat my request twice.
When we asked for wines, instead of giving us the wine list, she looked dumbly at us for a while; so I had to ask her for the list. Without uttering a word, she went, she literally threw the wine list on our table and when I tried to order she disappeared and never came back. The place was almost empty, so I really cannot understand why she had to literally run away and disappear every time we tried to order something.
The manager coming to us and stopping our conversation to throw some "Very good, heh? Very nice, heh? Delicious, heh?" also was totally obnoxious.
Definitely, not staying again and not going to suggest it to anybody."Show more
