"Not recommended for anyone unless you’re absolutely desperate, then again look elsewhere. Strong sewer smell as soon as we entered our room. Barely enough room around the bed to walk around the room and store luggage. Breakfast isn’t served until 7:30 am - which would be too late if you have a morning flight. "

"After flying in from a 5 star hotel in Milan...this place was quite the step down. But being the hotel snob that i am...i found the Chenal to be quaint and cute. With a late flight arrival and an early morning train ride to Paris...this place was absolutely perfect for what we needed. The quiet bar (where i was served the best G&T in Europe!) being open until 1am was a massive bonus. As too was the delightful smiley service. Train station is a stones throw away, which was so practical. This place is old and dated and your standards shouldn't be set too high (think pub with accomodation upstairs), but the sheets were clean (a little dubious about the top duvet though), a bath if you want a soak, lovely service and the loaction (5-8mins from airport) was beyond practical. I was travelling with my fiance and my mum and her friend...and we all give the Chenal a thumbs up. Would stay here again if on a similar travel intinerary. "
