"I stayed 5 nights in the 8 beds room to go sightseeing in Beijing. I can speak Chinese a little. The hotel was very clean, looked new, and smelled good, so pretty and Chinese like. The bed was soft enough, and the common space was very comfortable, there is also cafe corner, and there is a roof deck. Bathroom is common, but there are two toilets each for girls and boys, and they are clean. Staff were very friendly and helpful. They will tell you anything about China if you ask. They also have discount tickets for Chinese opera. Usually, it's hard to eat Chinese food like Beijing duck if you are alone, but ask them, they can manage people to go eat together. The guests there were also nice, I could make some friends. The hotel was like home and family, I loved it."

"Staff were very helpful in setting up the use of my own laptop instead of using the more expensive computer provided by the hotel. I was a little undecided about the question of being 58 hotel or not. Most things are excellent, but location is not as good as The Beijing Hotel, Raffles and Grand Hotel etc. on Chang'an Avenue at the other end of Wangfujing Street. Breakfast seems a little expensive for 90 yuan (rmb), but I guess that is in keeping with a 5* hotel, and the kind of guest they would expect. However the price that I got booked in for was very good value for money."

"Very convenient to airport for an overnight stay before that early morning flight out of Beijing. Hotel appears under utilised, but late December I guess is not peak tourist period. The Club L level is very well appointed with pool table, free use of Mac and Windows PCs, also conference facilities available. The executive lounge serves breakfast for the Club L level which seemed limited and I wonder if the main breakfast hall had more variety of food?? "

"i stayed at radegast hotel for only one night, but it was a very pleasant night. the service was attentive and the staff were highly responsive to my requests. i don't speak a word of mandarin, but the staff were all proficient speakers of english. the room was very spacious: newly furnished, enormous bed, and all the usual inclusions you'd expect at a 5-star hotel. free wifi was available too. the central cbd location would probably benefit workers more so than tourists. i had stayed at another hotel (a cheaper one) that was closer to the main tourist attractions where it was more convenient to stay for such purposes. but it was still easy to travel around beijing from radegast. you definitely get your money's value when you stay at radegast as the room rates were significantly cheaper than other 5-star hotels in beijing. "Stayed for one night as resting point after arriving to Beijing. Hotel is modern. Room was big and heating was fine. Price for the stay was definitely worth it for a resting point, I would not stay there to stay. Check-in/Check-out was straight forward. The location was walking distance to places to eat, but definitely not catered for tourism in central Beijing and better suited for layovers and stopovers. It was very directly below the airport routes so airplane landing/departing sounds is definitely there late into the night. They did offer earplugs beside the bed but I didn't use them."

"You can't beat the location. I had a short night stop between flights and did not want to go into Beijing. Walk 5 minutes turning right when you come out of Terminal 1 (which is connected by a walkway to Terminal 2). You hit then another main road (T-cross). Turn left and walk another 5 minutes. Hotel is basic but does the job. Note that Terminal 3 is miles away, so if you arrive there it does not work. Note further that there are other hotels with quite similar names, so strictly go for Beijing Capital International Hotel "

"The hotel is right at Wangfujing Street and is only a couple minutes walk to the pedestrian-only section. A great location for food and shopping. Subway station is within walking distance, but I would advise taking a taxi to get there if you have luggage since it is several minutes of walk from the subway station. The hotel enforces the non-smoking rule pretty well. There was no cigarette smell in the lobby, corridor, and room. It is unusual in China. (Many five-star hotels in China don't enforce the non-smoking rule, even in non-smoking rooms.) If you can't stand cigarette smell, stay in this hotel. The room is kind of small and old but functional. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was ok, not much to choose from. Overall, it was a pleasant stay. I will stay there again."
