We really loved Berlin. The sights are very interesting and the city wonderful. My husband had to work for 2 days of our trip, so I went around Berlin Alone, it was trouble free, and if I was in trouble with my underground map, somebody would come to help.

There is such rich layers of history in the city of Berlin from WW2 to the Cold War-and much before and between! The city is very unique in how the past has been preserved yet merged with the very modern present day architecture.

Even during the cold November month, we experienced friendly people, great historic sites, great meals and complete enjoyment when we were out visiting the city and the sights.
I love this gritty city. There is tremendous cultural energy in Berlin. The nightclubs are great and there are plenty of museums and cultural events.
