Just back from a weekend stay and apart from the weather, cannot fault this hotel. Location is perfect, away from the noise of central Blackpool and although only parking for about 5 cars, there was parking on a side street. Room was spacious and very clean with 2 large arm chairs which is uncommon in our previous visits to other hotels in Blackpool. Staff were very friendly and food was really good with plenty of choice. Will definitely be back later in the year and hopefully get nicer weather.

Came for illuminations, the hotel is dated as you can see from the photos, but we had not come to inspect lampshades for dust, I had brought my 7 year old to enjoy the illuminations. Tram Stop directly outside, 24 hour parking for £3 in hotel car park, Room was tired and so were we so had a lovely nights sleep in the comfy bed which had clean sheets. We had the breakfast which was good and varied. If your wanting luxury and to laze around in the hotel room all day then I would book elsewhere , but if you prefer to spend on activities what you have saved on the hotel then I would book here, if your kids notice that the hotel is a little tired then I think that they will notice that blackpool is too.

After reading the reviews i thought oh god where have i booked lol I arrived at the savoy. check in was good friendly staff. check in was at 3pm. Bar was warm and again friendly staff, they have a happy hour lager a pint was £2.50 then after the happy hour you cold get two pints of bear or lager for £5.00. My room was on the third floor, it was warm and cosy. the bed was nice and clean and smelt fresh. the furniture had seen better days but it was clean and did its purpose. the TV was the old type not the small slim type which suited me because i could watch it clearly while in bed. the breakfast range was fruit juices, ham and cheeses, cereals, the cooked breakfast was bacon,eggs, beans. tomatoes, mushrooms,hash browns.fried bread, sausages, black pudding and toast and you just helped yourself - marvelous. I would recommend this hotel for probably a break they staff were very friendly and doing their best for the hotel. I would certainly go back no one made me feel awkward as i went on a shopping chill out weekend on my owm

The location is virtually opposite the tower so its a 5 star for that, the rooms well let's say faulty towers. the was very small and you had no chance of seeing out of the windows due to the muck on them. I upgraded our room to the "Nelson Suite" and to be fair for £55 per night it was good, four poster bed, jacuzzi bath, kitchen area with a microwave and ironing facilities & a lounge area but still couldn't see out of the windows due to the muck on them! The staff were very nice and couldn't do enough for you but you could see the frustration as they knew the hotel was run down but there was not much they do. I would return to the Metropole as even though the hotel was run down, the room I ended up with was worth all the money I paid (paid three times the amount for a similar room in wales) and the staff were trying there best with what they have got. On a positive note as we were leaving they had teams both inside and out improving the appearance

Great location as short walk from everything but set back enough so not noisy at night. Room was comfortable and clean. Lady who runs it very welcoming and friendly we would stay here again when visiting Blackpool

Extremely cheap, run down B&B style hotel. Noisy kitchen staff from 6:00am onwards, other guests extremely noisy and playing music at 6:30am, doors through corridors banging with noisy lose floor boards. The lift was out of order during our stay. I cannot think of one nice feature of this hotel. Blackpool itself was also a let down, so many low class people throughout the town, swearing, abusive and vile behaviour. Overall I feel this has left a terrible impression on Blackpool. Will not visit again

My relatives were staying to celebrate their golden wedding and I booked in as a surprise the staff were wonderful they presented them with flowers and Champaign and I took cake and balloon it was a wonderful night with brill cabaret too

this hotel was clean reasonably priced and shops were nearby and parking was available, the couple running the place were helpful and friendly, the internet was good..Overall I really enjoyed My stay at the Holm lea..

Excellent hotel staff were all so friendly and went out there way to help u we were only at hotel overnight will definitely be back for a longer stay will also be recommending to all my friends

the only thing i can comment on is that the plates at breakfast were cold. otherwise fantastic hotel. would definitely look to staying there again.

The owners were amazing nothing was to much trouble . They made you feel so welcome and were very knowledgeable about what to see where to go how to get the best tickets anything we wanted to know . Accomadation was great clean and comfortable breakfast brilliant cooked just how I like it .Top marks all round A Big Thank you

Our expectations of Bkackpool accommodation were already low, and at £40 incl breakfast it was bargain. Tiny tired drab room, awful hard small noisy bed. Decent enough size shower though no gel or any simple toiletries. TV worked which must make the difference as other elderly guests Moana’s no remote. Gent managing the show was polite and doing his best. Friendly bloke.

Was a wonderful stay, lovely room on ground floor for disability purposes, staff really helpful and couldn't do enough for you.

Came to Blackpool as two couples for 1 night to see Blackpool illuminations, perfect location out of the hustle and bustle and only 10 minute cab ride into centre. Hotel clean and lovely, swimming pool and spa good, didn't use the gym but that also looked good. Breakfast lovely would defiantly stay again.

Saw the price on here and booked it but the price was an error and when I got to the hotel I expected problems but Joey the receptionist was very friendly and when saw the price I paid smiled and wished me a great stay and I was treated with respect and was welcomed. I would stay here again and the rooms and bathroom was great.

enjoyed blackpool but the hotel room was awful cold showers, cramped bathroom cig burns in the bedding.

Upon arriving at tbe hotel I was told I nedded to pay £130 for the room because Agoda hadnt transferred the money. I was told that I could stay one night because I had kids but it would need to be sorted out in the morning. All this even though I showed my voucher from Agoda.

After a horrendous experience at a hotel in North Shore during the lights, we booked this hotel for 4 nights in the May half term. They actually own the 2 Danescourt Hotels either side as well, our room was a family room in The Danescourt. The room was large, had a double bed, bunk beds, separate toilet and walk in shower. The room was spotless clean and obviously recently renovated. Wooden floors which are better than carpet for cleanliness. The room was attended to daily. They have a nice bar in the actual Granville Hotel. Nice tasting beer although a little on the pricey side, but again it has been recently renovated. The staff are all friendly and welcoming. The advantage of this hotel was they don’t take stag or hen parties, couples and families only, so no issue with noise. Highly recommended for a budget B&B in Blackpool, and we will be returning for the lights.

Oh how we hate stairs :-) but sometimes you don't have much choice but that is Blackpool. We had 2 rooms and each was the same but different. Dated & worn but reasonably clean. The bathrooms were really quite roomy a bit of a surprise there. What interactions we had with the staff were pleasant and accommodating making our stay that much easier.

We loved our room, it was spacious even with a baby cot next to the bed as we traveled with a toddler. Its a very clean Hotel. The breakfast is excellent and very delicious! Staff is fantastic and very helpful. I would recommend it to family, friends and everyone els. There is absolutely nothing to complain about this beautiful place. The tram is just across the road which is useful if you don't want to walk into town but it's also a beautiful walk on the promenade on nice day! Fantastic location, 15 mins either way to pleasure beach or the tower. Room was clean, although quite dated but the whole of Blackpool seems like it hasn't had a lick of paint since the 70s!!! Lovely staff. Has parking but beware, the car park entrance is very narrow and we had to be guided in.

we enjoyed our stay at the craigy and had fun while there for the weekend. they looked after us well and we would higly recommend this hotel. thanks for everything.

Probably the worst bed I have ever slept in, mattress springs were worn out , woke up with chronic back pain. Pity as the rest of it was ok.

Lovely hotel excellent facilities and extremely clean The small but dedicated staff team couldn’t do enough to keep us happy and to ensure we were well looked after And a hearty breakfast fit for a king Going to Blackpool give this hotel a shout you won’t regret it

Pros: location, entertainment, staff, management, en suite with bath, 3 course dinner (tea). Which was unexpected. Maybe hotel should make it clearer this is what you get for your money, not just 1 course but 3 with tea/coffee. Definite bonus. Cons: very small room for a family, although maybe not hotels fault. Agodo website said 2 adults and 2 children. It was just a standard double so shouldn't have had that as an option. Hotel did it's best to accommodate us putting in a pull out bed, which then unfortunately made the room very cramped. Very expensive for what we got. £140 for the night, although cheaper than other hotels seeing as it was a Saturday in summer holidays and just a day's notice, plus unknown to us there was an airshow on in Blackpool. Our Room also had no sea view just looking out at other bedroom windows where others could see into your room, so maybe blinds would be a good option instead of curtains. Music was very loud from our 1st floor room
