Oaks Brisbane Festival Suites

"We love to stay in this hotel. The receptionist are really helpful. The hotel is good and clean. I think the hotel is quite brand new. It is located in CBD area. Easy to find shops and restaurants. If you need car rental, it just next door. The view is perfectly nice, you can see the city. The hotel also has a internal balcony. They also have a kitchen, a laundry. This is one of the best hotel in Brisbane for budget at around 150 dollar per night. Definitely I'll be staying in the hotel next time."

Oaks Brisbane on Charlotte Suites
Brisbane City Center,Brisbane - View on map
"The hotel reception staff were extremely helpful. I originally booked one night with agoda and once there i had to stay a second night. The staff allowed me to book the second night at the rate i received from agoda which was great. The hotel is close to many lovely restaurants and is only a five minute walk to Brisbane river where there are more restaurants and bars. The room was suprisingly spacious. Large comfortable lounge room with separate bedroom. Plenty of room for luggage. A balcony which is big enough to utilise. Overall the decor and comfort of the room was very pleasing. I would definately stay at this hotel again, i found it great value for money"

The Metropolitan Spring Hill

"I was looking for a budget hotel that provided parking close to the city, most hotels in Brisbane charge a large fee for parking. This hotel offers free parking and the rooms are clean and the location was exactly what is was after."

"The Morgan Suites is the best hotel/apartment I have every stayed in. The layout was absolutely fantastic. It had everything needed for my stay e.g. washing machine, dryer, microwave, oven etc. There was even a complimentary Ipad to use during my stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The Cliff House - Motel
Kangaroo Point,Brisbane - View on map
"I booked this motel online because I was on a tight budget for a business trip to Brisbane. I was skeptical that it would be any good, but I have been surprised. I'm sitting on the bed writing this review. The room is modern, well appointed for the price etc. Its got a queen bed (I got a free upgrade), a small fridge to put cold stuff. Tea and Coffee facilities. The bathroom is recently renovated to good standards and its a reasonable size. There is even a separate closet to hang clothes. The building itself appears well maintained. There is parking at the back of the property, as the front is on Mains Road which has no parking. The rear entrance is security coded and looks to all be modern and well maintained. Overall its a decent place to sleep and its ultra close to the CBD, only about 2 or 3 klms across the bridge and your in Eagle Street in the CBD."

Oakwood Hotel & Apartments Brisbane
Brisbane City Center,Brisbane - View on map
"I think this is a great hotel. I stayed in a one-bedroom suite with a kitchen, a dish washer, cloth washer and dryer, and a refrigerator. With these equipment in the room, staying a few days in Brisbane is easy. The staffs in the hotel are nice and willing to help. The room is clean and neat. The location of the hotel is convenient, only 10 minutes away from Riverside Ferry Terminal and 20 minutes away from the downtown with many restaurants and shopping centers. However, the minutes are true when you go out. When coming back to hotel, you probably need to add 10 to 15 more minutes because a steep up hill. Overall, I think this is a great place to stay in Brisbane and I will stay again next time when I am in Brisbane. "

Oaks Brisbane Casino Tower Suites
Brisbane City Center,Brisbane - View on map
"I love staying at this hotel in brisbane! The location and access ability to everything and anything, could not be beaten. However, I was a little disappointed with the room appliances; dishwasher did not work and the washing machine flooded and the dryer needed to be turned back on every 5 mins or so. If there had been a clothes horse in the room, would have made the stay a little easier"

Frisco Serviced Apartments
Brisbane City Center,Brisbane - View on map
"The location is good, in the CBD but not right in the heart of it, but about an 8-minute walk from the central station. I enjoyed mt stay in Brisbane and everything worked exactly as it should. It should be noted this is *not* a hotel but an apartment building so if you require hotel services like concierge, business centre etc, they don't exist. Also, the reception is only manned during business hours. This was fine with me but if you need assistance after hours, you'd be out of luck. But don't let that out you off - the two staff members I spoke to were both very pleasant and helpful, the premises spotlessly clean, the wireless internet worked well and the apartment I stayed in had a huge balcony that caught the sun for much of the day. I'd visit Brisbane again and I'd definitely stay at Frisco again!"

Code Apartments
Bowen Hills,Brisbane - View on map
"This was my second stay at Code Apartments and I do not feel the need to seek any other accommodation in the future. It suits my purposes ideally. As they are serviced apartments, not a hotel, you need to self-cater. There is no on-site dining facility. This is a minor issue which was of no concern to me, personally, whatsoever. The apartments are within a five-minute easy stroll of the southern end of Bowen Hills railway station (only two stops north of Brisbane Central and six stops from Brisbane Airport) and are visible from the station. For me, as comfortable as a five star hotel, without the price tag."

Traveler impressions of Brisbane

More about Brisbane

Brisbane is the capital of Queensland – The Sunshine State – and one of the fastest growing cities in Australia. This vibrant city has much to offer, including fantastic beaches, arts and culture, picturesque cityscapes, and an exciting live music scene. Accommodation in Brisbane’s city center ranges from sleek high-rise hotels to comfortable serviced apartments with more accommodation found in the suburbs in the West End and East Brisbane. Brisbane Airport is the city's main access point for international travelers.

Brisbane is surrounded by some stunning geography. On one side is the Brisbane River, on the other side is the Great Dividing Range. Bars and nightclubs in Brisbane are equal to those found in the big cities of Sydney and Melbourne, with international music artists and DJs regularly touring the city.

For the adventurous, Kangaroo Point is a must-see. Here, travelers can scale the walls of Brisbane River, go abseiling, kayaking, rollerblading, or cycling. There are also barbecue and picnic spots in the area with activities continuing well into the night. Visitors also have the option to gain an aerial perspective as they float over Brisbane in a hot air balloon. On clear days, it's possible to see as far as the Glasshouse Mountains 70 kilometers away.

Be sure to check out the interactive map of Brisbane for information on hotel locations, attractions, and must-see destinations.
