novotel is always one of those great franchises where you expect clean rooms, quiet ambience and good prices. the hotel in bruges did not disappoint. it's location is close to several south-end attractions such as minnewater and holy church of our lady. i absolutely cannot live without the internet and happy to report that its free in the hotel. also, the kids will enjoy the x-box console at the lobby. receptionist is polite, speaks terrific english and check in is done instantly.

Older building with a touch of history about it. Public areas and our room considerably more spacious than in more modern buildings. Huge comfortable bed. Staff helpful in perfect English. In the old part of Bruges but fairly quiet; all attractions within easy walking distance, but out of the main tourist ruck even on busy days. Didn't eat in the hotel as there are so many other cafes and restaurants to try in Bruges. Hotel is beginning to need some attention to decor and updating, but I think NH took it over fairly recently, so hopefully that will get fixed. Would certainly stay there again

Great hotel located in the square in central Bruges. Great loby. Very convirnent. we could even return to the hotel to brush our teeth after a meal. Many restaurans and bars nearby. 10 minutes Walk to bike Rental place. Nice wifi ! Quiet pool on the eighth floor. We had a great holiday in Bruges and this hotel contributed a lot to our happy experience.

Lovely hotel, quiet location even though close to the old city centre. Beautiful room, spotlessly clean. Friendly, accommodating and helpful staff giving great advice as to what to do/see on a first visit to Bruges. Would stay at the hotel again without hesitation.

Check in/out was hassle free, staff always willing to assist and location was great. Would definitely recommend to anyone else wanting to visit Bruge. The only thing that may deter people is no lift/winding staircase but it didn't bother me.

The most beautiful breakfast I have ever had. The attention to detail at this place is fantastic, the service is excellent, I would recommend this place to anyone looking for something more intimate than a large hotel.

If you're driving to Bruges/Brugge, parking can be a nightmare. At the Ibis Brugge Centrum, there's a municipal parking lot beneath the building, so parking's a breeze. It's a short walk from the hotel to all of the tourist attractions in the city. The rooms are small and plain, but clean and well laid out.

Brilliant location. Lovely and very comfortable hotel room. Great common spaces to use. Amazing breakfast buffet and lovely, lovely staff. Would highly recommend and would definitely return. Thank you!

Vakantie Hollywood is a great boutique hotel only ten minutes walking distance from heart of Bruges - rooms are spacious and clean located in second or third floor above restaurant - breakfast is typical European with delicious bread and coffee

It was our first time in Belgium with kids and we were definitely not disappointed with the Floris Karos! Having a well stocked kids play area meant that unfortunately, they were not inclined to leave the hotel! However, it was a blessing for these jet lagged parents. The staff were friendly and very attentive indeed. Locationwise, it was good as it was just on the outskirts of the Markt Square, so just a 5 mins walk in. Will definitely return to this hotel indeed!

It is a small-scale guesthouse but unique in style. The medieval style is attractive. Bathroom amenities are of good quality. Glad to have a bottle of champagne for my birthday! Although there is no television, there is a projector and supplies of a few DVD movies for viewing. Daivd is a very nice & welcoming host. We enjoyed his paintings too.

We arrived at 5.30am. Hotel was not opened yet. We paged for help and the owner (Mr and Mrs Andrei) responded and let us in. At 7.30 am, they personally came and welcome us. Served us with coffee and biscuits and had a great conversations. They even arranged for us to check in early ! We felt very welcome and truly surprised by the warmth friendly treatment. Really, they demonstrated a higher level of hospitality. It is not about how great a facility is .... it is about treating people with respect and great humanity that define greatness! We could not have made a better choice for our first time in Brugge. This small hotel is in a great location near the centre of the old town. It is on a quiet street, but so close to all you need. It was a doable walk from the train station. We were met by very friendly owners who stayed around to make sure we got settled. The room was actually an efficiency apartment with modern appliances and dishes. The apartment was large and well laid out. It was clean and well appointed. There was a problem with heat in the apartment, but I chalk that up to it being unseasonably warm in Brugge at that time of the year. The warmth also brought out some biting flies that were a bit of a nusance. The owner said that city bylaws did not allow them to put screens on the windows to keep out bugs because it was not in keeping with the look of the old town. Interesting. Overall, we had a great time in Brugge, especially at Bonobo Apartments and would recommend it to anybody and we would come back ourselves.

Great location - central but quiet. Breakfast was copious and delicious. The dinner at Le mystique was well presented and delicious, lots of small tastes - a fun evening. Comfortable room with good shower. Bed could have been harder but I quibble. Good WiFi. We used valet parking but they would have assisted with options. All the staff were friendly and helpful. While there were some families that stayed here, it’s not great for small kids,. The gym wasn’t enticing enough for our use. There is a bike rental shop next door. Good restaurants immediate in the surroundings as well. We were delighted with our choice of hotel in Bruges and will go back.

We've the room whereby we just opened the window and we got the canal and city view. It was such a lovely view. Love it!

Only one night but enjoyed our stay. Owner organised our cases to be taken up to our room and down again which was a relief as no lift. Breakfast was lovely as was the beautiful dining room. Only short walk to historic centre. Would book again if in Bruges.

Thoroughly enjoyable . Very warmly welcomed at check in and made to feel very much at home. The guesthouse is beautifully decorated and very well laid out. The rooms are fantastic with excellent facilities / bathrooms. Beautiful and cozy dining area with a well laid out breakfast. The guesthouse is in a wonderful location in Bruges, close enough to the city centre but far enough away from the crowds. The recommendations for places to dine (lunch and dinner) from our hosts was faultless and we were shown a beautiful walk around the town. Overall a wonderful stay and one that we cannot wait to do again next year!

I really enjoyed the night that I spent at Hotel Groeninghe. The location is perfect - the Grand Place (city center) is a short 10-minute walk away. Also, the train station is only 1 km away - about a 15 minute walk. Laurence, who owns the hotel, is such a sweet lady. When I checked in, she provided me with maps and restaurant recommendations, and she let me check in early. The room itself was great - quite big for a bed and breakfast, and with a very comfortable bed (I was in room 8). The breakfast was also a nice surprise - a good selection (cereal, fruit, toast, eggs, yogurt, etc.). Overall, I was very pleased with my experience, and I would absolutely stay here again.

At first we where comfused because It was no one there and we speak throug. Camera so we feel like in the movie hostal hahahaha but then in the afternoon the restaurant open and all change, we meet the owner, she is a really kind person, we enjoy our stay and the beds are amazing

This hotel is a good choice for people traveling by car. The parking is free and right in front of the hotel. If we hadn't had the car I don't think we would have stayed here. Our room wasn't ready when we arrived which is a bit annoying but we waited in the lounge and had a drink. The breakfast was quite good.

impolite boss, except position, not everything : no air condition, no hair dry , very expensive, poor breakfast, , extra cost for clean the room, old hotel, terrible boss. they find everyway to ask fault to charge more money, they control and follow your action step by step. even knock the door at 10.30 p.m to ask a silly question: did you make a little wet in out of room? did you use icream or oil? and when I check out, two people go up room for checking from toilet to outside room and ask more understand question: why don't I open the window? why does the dish dirty? this is the firsr time I had stayed at terrible hotel like this. it lost many times, money and my holiday with family. I will never comback this hotel and want to write these experiences to remind every people to pay attention this hotel to avoid to meet the same problem as ours. Last, if you want your house always clean & new, don't set up the hotel . the clients is god, don't get impolite with people bring money !

Near train station and less than 10mins walk to main attractions. Many restaurants just opp the hotel. There is even a free shuttle service beside the hotel which brings you to the train station. I like the location because it is away from the buzz of the tourist stretch but yet not too far away. A family run business, they make us feel so welcome and comfortable. The owner even told us to save on the taxi fare (which shdnt cost more than 8euro) and take the free shuttle bus instead. He waited with us and communicated with the driver to load our luggages. Excellent service! Highly recommend to other travellers for their location and service. The room is also very cozy and we had a very pleasant stay overall. Just to note that there is no lift as it is an old yet charming building however there is no need to fret as they can help you with the luggages esp when I’m travelling with seniors.

great place but the so called single room does not have a toilet... It is to ne used outside if the room where other people passing by... A bit unpleasant. Other wise great staff and sumptuous breakfast with a gentle touch of friendliness from the owner who is always there for you !

We traveled with a small dog so Ibis a chain that universally accepts pets. This location is 20 miles from Bruges however.

People working there are so nice and friendly. Nice private rooms for a reasonable price with a great access to central Bruges

Great location. Very friendly owner. Great breakfast. Quiet. However, Hotel often sticks to closely to its official two star rating. New towels every second day, soap and shampoo combined in one small bottle. 5 Euro to use internet...and very lumpy bed. I mean the bumpiest and most uneven bed I have ever slept in. Also a very grumpy cleaning lady who kept growling at us! However, despite these things. Its a lovely hotel, lovely owner, great buffet breakfast and great location.

My husband and I had a lovely stay. Virginie was so welcoming and made us feel right at home. The B&B is stylish and our room, on the top floor, was large, bright and airy with a view of peaceful gardens out back. The breakfast had all that we needed and Virginie even picked up a loaf of gluten-free bread after learning about my allergy. We used the bikes to check out the town and venture into the countryside around Bruges. We really appreciated that Virigine let us arrange for a late check-out because the room was available during that day. Highly recommended!

We had a 3 night stay and loved staying here. The location was very convenient, close enough to walk to train station, and very close to main squares and attractions. The room and ensuite was very large, clean and kept up to date. Anne was a lovely host, very friendly, very helpful (even provided raincoats on a particularly rainy summers day) and provided an excellent breakfast. Very easy booking on Agoda, although we did initially look at the B & B's website and tried contacting directly though their emails to book (Rate of 90-100 euro) but did not get any reply. We ended up paying 120 through Agoda, but still worth it for such a lovely stay.
