"We were in a one night trip to Brugge and found this hotel to be perfect. Just next to the station, a bit of walking to the city center but not too far. The staff is friendly and efficient. Room is pretty basic but it's clean and well mantained."

"We had a superior classic style double room, with heigh ceilings and a chandelier. In the 17th century this was one of the palace’s of Charles II, king of England. Spacious room which was very convenient for my mother who is 88 and uses a walker. Excellent location in the historical centre of Bruges with the Burg and Grote Markt within walking distance. Plenty of restaurants in the neighbourhood. Copious breakfast buffet. Friendly staff and good service (providing a softer pillow and a late check-out because of my mother’s high age). Really appreciated this. The parking garage is beneath the hotel, expensive, but for us the better option. Overall a great experience! The only thing I missed was a terrace but I assume this not an option."

"Older building with a touch of history about it. Public areas and our room considerably more spacious than in more modern buildings. Huge comfortable bed. Staff helpful in perfect English. In the old part of Bruges but fairly quiet; all attractions within easy walking distance, but out of the main tourist ruck even on busy days. Didn't eat in the hotel as there are so many other cafes and restaurants to try in Bruges. Hotel is beginning to need some attention to decor and updating, but I think NH took it over fairly recently, so hopefully that will get fixed. Would certainly stay there again"

"A group of us decided last minute to spend a few days in Bruge over the NY period, and being last minute there were not too many accommodation options left. I read many reviews, and write this with mixed feelings. The lady at reception is lovely, very helpful and friendly. Location is great, very close to everything you want, but far enough away to step away from it all. Parking directly opposite is excellent. Key point I would make is to make sure you ask for the room you see in the images. The hotel renovated a few rooms and those are the ones depicted - we paid a large premium for the NY period, and called the hotel to ensure the room would be one of those depicted in the photos - they 'upgraded' us to these rooms, even though we had paid a premium for the NY period. The rooms weren't quite finished - one had air-conditioning vents not installed, a balcony door that wouldn't close, hot water issues, no iron etc. All in all, we'd stay again if no other options available, its 'OK'"

"This hotel is like a little jewel box... instant appeal as you walk in, and enjoyed just being in the cutely elegant lobby and lounge areas. Bedroom plainer decor, but clean and all you need, very comfortable bed, slept so well, air conditioning very efficient in cooling the room in the hot weather we had. Staff were welcoming and very accommodating to requests, but not instrusive - perfect balance. Perfect central location, just a street’s walk away from the main market square. There is parking to the rear of the hotel, which was handy for us as we drove to Bruges, and didn’t have to worry about finding parking. Also, a lovely swimming pool in the basement area (which I did not use as I found the room temperature a little over-warm, especially as the weather was hot, but that was just me). We were there on a night when pianist was playing jazz in the bar, was lovely to sit and have a drink to, and there is also a pretty terrace to sit out. Would return here without hesitation."

"I have never been spoken to so rudely. the afternoon reception man spoke rudely to the man before us then rude to my wife then later very rude to me, even telling me that he can refuse to book us in. I this is the only Hotel available then OK but otherwise useanother. The room is small, nothing kike the pictures. the beds are not comercial grade and extremly soft. (cheap). the bthroom is a plastic capsule in the corner of the room. i could not even fir in the shower bit. The parking is not on site and is a 5 min walk underground and cost 9Euro per day. this did not come up on the reservation. we spent 28 days at 26 hotels and this was the worst."

"If you're driving to Bruges/Brugge, parking can be a nightmare. At the Ibis Brugge Centrum, there's a municipal parking lot beneath the building, so parking's a breeze. It's a short walk from the hotel to all of the tourist attractions in the city. The rooms are small and plain, but clean and well laid out."
