there is a prime city in the center for visitors, but nothing to see or eat if out of this center. inhabitants are mean and not quite nice.
Need a have least 1 pair or 2 pair of comfortable sports or outing shoes that you can walk around to discover something that you will not get in the city.
We stayed for just one night so didn't explore much apart from the area around grand palace. Tonnes of charming shops and eating joints.
Good public transportation, friendly people, troitoirs made of stone not practical for ladies with high heels, saw about 3 women falling down.
A great city with an interesting history. You must try the waffels with cream and toffee. At night its best to just buy a few beers from a kiosk and go to the Grand Palace where everyone simply sits on the ground and the surrounding benches and drinks and socalise long into the night.
great place for a weekend. check out delirium bar and the cocktail bar next door. lots of cool places to hang out and have a beer.
I liked the spirit of the city and the architecture. The food and beet history is quite interesting and there are many cool and unique shops.
Visit the Manneken Pis, Jeanneke Pis, Grand Place-Grote Markt & Atonium. Eat Belgium chocolate, waffles & drink beer while in Brussels!
Brussels is such a strange little city, but very loveable. It has a lot of history, and the architecture is amazing and tells a story all on its own.
Besides the usual Grand Place, check out the Atomium. As for the main Cathedral, look out for the interesting sculptures in the park in front.
Most of the inhabitants is Brussels do not speak English and all the signboard is not in English. The architecture of monuments and cathedral is beautiful but can be improved with better maintenance.
Very interesting city, full of culture, history and, of course, tourists. A lot of things to do. One trip is not enough.
Nice city with a lot of landmarks to visit, planty of museums, bars with local beer and restaurants..
We have a great time in Brussels flower carpet festival. However, if you wanna really enjoy the night view of the carpet, you must take part in the open ceremony, because that is the only lighting show with firework.
it's a nice place with good cuisine-i really enjoyed the pistolet sandwiches. although beer and food can be pricey here, you get what you pay for and there is a lot of quality food and sights within the city.
brussels is a big village that maintains a small town feel even inside a cosmopolitan metro. there are many unique buildings and long historical anecdotes to be shared, but the mussels and fries are the real highlights.
There was nothing much to do in Brussels. We spent most of our time travelling out to the nearby cities.
Brussels is a really nice city especially if you like chocolate! what can I say, chocolate paradies.
Excellent for sampling Flemish cuisine. Brussels is an ideal city to wander around aimlessly and exploring the sights.
Nice city with many local shop. Like walking down a small alley and entering a local Belgium Chocolate shop, tasting the flavor of sweetty.
In Brussels you must try the chocolates at Neuhause, Godive and Chocopolis. Brussel is famous for the beers and I recommend the Kvak, Westmalle, Orval and Leffe.
There was little to see or do. I'm glad I can tick it off my travel bucket list but I wouldn't go back again.
Really good, really interesting street art, really nice parks and churches and really friendly helpful people.
Brussels like many other European captial cities is quite pricey. I would strongly recommend that you bring more than enough Euros to spend during your time there.
I like the city very much. Make sure you take a one day tour! very nice experience. The laser show at Grand Place is amazing.
Its a small city but it has everything you can ask for. There is history, shopping, excellent food & restaurants, traveling around is very convenient.
A very clean and friendly city. I have no problem finding my way to the destination by asking locals for direction as they're more than willing to help.
Great place to visit, be aware of where you are going to stay. I ended up changing hotel because the area that my first hotel was in was undesirable (good hotel, was hassled by some of the locals because I was a female travelling alone.
It is small city and costs less than half day to walk around the center of the city. One day is enough for sightseeing.
Brussels has some culture but primarily a city surrounded by European politics, so it may not be the best place to experience authentic Belgian culture.
