Hotel was nice and clean, the staff was very nice and helpfull. Coffee and tee given in the room. We had a large flat with 2 bathrooms and a washing machine wich is handy. The location is not the best but mot very bad either and the taxy in there is very cheap, to get to the center of Bucharest we used to pay the equivalent of 2 pounds. Masive Carefour shopping center close to the hotel.

i had great time there. rooms are big and clean . location is just the best possible. i didn't had breakfast there.... price is good and yes i will command my friends to stay at the hotel

I have made research about all hotels in Bucharest before I decided on this one. I even booked last minute but everything went smoothly. 4 star hotel, good location and facilities were fine. They didn't have a kettle so I asked for one, they lent me without any fuss. So I guess the staff service was great too. And fast I might add. From airport you can take a bus 783 and stop at Piata Roma station. Just walk for 400m (around 7-10 minutes to reach the place).

Although it was built in 1972, it's totally renewed and now it's as good as new. Pros: clean medium-sized rooms, nice bathrooms, well-filled minibar, free swimming pool at the last floor (real stunning panorama over the city while swimming)and spa (sauna, hammam, massage, fitness, free fruits), price (at this price you can only find some 4 star hotels nearby, without swimming pool for example). Stayed last year in Macau, and can say here it's comparable. Cons: breakfast, restaurants and internet are expensive for the romanian prices (although at 15€ for a breakfast, it's a three-star hotel price in western europe, but for Bucharest it's a lot); better buy your own prepaid 3G internet at any mobile phone or newspaper store; price under 25€ and you can use it one month, no contract needed. Swimming pool somehow unheated in February, but still OK (cca. 26 degrees Celsius).

This is an excellent hotel, located right in the centre of Bucharest. It is an old, historical hotel but has been completely and tastefully modernised and the rooms are large, comfortable and quiet. The staff are very helpful and friendly, and the concierge can help with directions, booking taxis and other enquiries. There is a wide range of choices available at breakfast and no stay would be complete without visiting the English Bar which has a history of its own. Highly recommended.

Everything was perfect for us at a great price, with the best breakfast of our trip. Modern, clean and very comfortable. Lovely staff and perfectly positioned in the Old Town, it will be our first choice if we return to Bucharest.

We chose this hotel because of its central location in Bucharest and the excellent reviews and very reasonable price. It was everything advertised and more. On first impression it seemed small and unassuming, tucked into a simple side street. We didn't rent a car but it was easy to find and a comfortable walk to the places we wanted to go. The staff could not have been more friendly or helpful. Any question or request was addressed within minutes. The rooms were delightful; not particilarly large, but bright and airy, with ambient lighting and flexible beds and remote controlled drapes. Also included was a Nespresso machine and all the acroutrements, a refrigerator and a wonderful, almost silent air conditioner. The breakfast was one best we've ever had, and we've been traveling for over 30 years. Coffees, fresh loose teas, and eggs made to order, abundant choices of fresh squeezed juices, fresh fruits, nuts, vegetables, meats and cheeses and jams and jellies and much more. When a friend of ours enquired about a kind of jam they didn't have, she was surprised to find that one of the staff had gone to the market and added it to the choices the next day. Room service was also delivered quickly, cheerfully, and for no extra charge. The hotel also arranged for airport transfer for us and everything arranged was timely and predictable. We were totally spoiled with our experience at Christina. We heard that another Christina Hotel is being planned for Bucharest with even more to offer---we certainly would stay again and highly recommend it.

I've stayed here lots of times; having worked in Bucharest for 18 months. If you smile or talk to the staff they respond fantastically, but then I've always found Romanians are among the freindliest and helpfull people around (well maybe not to each other but to non Romanians!!). The hotel is in a great location right in the centre of town; within walking distance to the two main nighttime areas. Taxi's are pretty cheap as well (as long as you get a real one; not one of those from Baneasa airport (the low cost airport) which can rip you off... The real ones have the prices on the door and will be around 1.5 to 2.0 lei per km. Better cars are more. 99% of Taxi's are OK The rack rate of the hotel is high but you should be able to get a decent rate through the agoda if you book in advance.

nice hotel with lots of space. the hotel is a bit dated, but everything was working properly. having to pay everyday and get the keycard recoded was annoying, but the price was worth it.

The hotel was arranged through Viking Cruise Lines and check-in was a breeze, taking only a few minutes. The room was very clean, bed comfortable, and pillows easy to sleep on. The bathroom had an abundance of toiletries, which were restocked the very next day. Check-out was also hassle-free and if necessary, the bell hops will hold your luggage. Great job Sofitel, and Viking. Location-wise, the hotel is perfectly situated near the Chain Bridge, and a block away from the car-free pedestrian and shopping zone. This was very nice, as bars and restaurants were plentiful in this zone. The parliament is a short 10 minute walk along no the Danube and the concierge can arrange timed tickets for entry via the hotel booking computer....a big time saver. There is a pharmacy directly across the street. Our literature from Viking related not to trust the cabs sitting outside the hotel. This proved true, in that the day before our trip I asked a cab for rates to the nearby train station, and he

we stayed in this hotel on the last day of our stay in bucharest because our flight on the following day was early. we enjoyed swimming pool and the gym after. they had two restaurants ; one for international food and the other for romanian food where we had a lovely meal. we appreciated the free transport to the airport. it would've been much more appreciated if the hotel also had provided a transport from the airport even for an additional fee to the hotel to avoid hassles by the taxi drivers at the airport.

We had a wonderful time in Bucharest staying at the Rembrandt hotel. It was the perfect location to see the sights of the city and as it was our first time in Bucharest, that made for a wonderful time. The staff was wonderful with suggestions and very helpful during our stay. We would recommend the Rembrandt to anyone and plan to stay there on our next trip to Bucharest.

From booking in and the welcome from the door to the farewell and taxi to the Airport, NOTHING was to large or small in the enjoyment of the stay. And WOW the "Handy" phone was brilliant, even if only as a GPS map guide to get you home on the walks around the hotel and city. What was also great the room although on the street side was so quite, OK not a lot of road noise outside but "0" inside. The Bisto was well served and stocked. BREAKFAST and the choice fantastic. Would I recommend? YES

i usually prefer to stay in doubletree by hilton bucharest unirii square hotel when i go to bucharest for business. clean rooms, good value of the rooms and friendly staff are enough reasons to choose that hotel.

after all we spent a pleasant time, good cleaning room service, nice and friendly people. No bad surprises. they offer what they advertise. Definitely is a place to stay for two lovers visiting Bucharest. You can walk to a lot of fancy downtown restaurants and clubs. No need a cab. Special thanks to their bellboy Mr Mitica - very friendly and helpful, giving you a safe filling. Free and fast Internet Access in your room is REAL. Service with a smile. Many thanks. We were stunned that our room looked on to parliament which was really something. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! Lovely big spacious room with bed and seating area (I believe we had a queen suite). Wasn’t so nice to find a whole two feet worth of toenails clippings though :oS Otherwise breakfast wasn’t anything to shout about but was ok. Staff great! Location wise it’s about half an hours walk to get into the midst of Bucharest but this was so bad as you get to see so much more by walking about.

The issue with the hotel is the difference between the rooms available through the booking process and the rooms at the hotel. we were 4 people and received a room with double bed.

We decided to stay here in spite of its non-central location because we were only staying a day in Bucharest before leaving for Sinaia. The room was big enough and equipped with TV and fridge. Bathroom was quite small but alright. The shower didn't drain well but not too bad. Overall, good value for the money but if you plan on touring Bucharest, probably not the best choice. Getting there by public transportation: Get off at Armata Popurolui then walk for about 15 minuits. There is a huge mall on the way, too.

The price is cheap. But it's hard to find a host or staff to help as his office open at 9:30am and closed at 6 or 7pm. If u travel there, u will go out before 9:30 and back after 7pm! 1st day we check in, we found there is only one roll toilet paper in the apartment. But we are 3 ppl and staying 3 nights. So we ask more toilet paper. then they sent one more roll to apartment. We found no hair dryer in apartment. So i wrote an email (as we join a tour from 8am to 9pm) to ask hair dryer and more toilet paper. but no reply. Next day we wrote a paper and stick on their office door. That night got hair dryer and toilet paper. The day we check out is Romania public holidays. we want to leave our luggage in the office. But the one in the office don't speak english and phone to someone to talk to us. and told us today is public holidays. no one working in the office!!! The day we check in, he ask about our check out time and i request to store the luggage until 7pm. He didn't tell us about the public holidays and seem no problem to store our luggage. Now he said we can't leave luggage, so we aruge with him and he said it's written in the booking website that they don't work in holidays. But anyway at last, he let us come back to take luggage at 6pm. That's my experience!

The hotel was nice, with good accomodations. Fitness, wellness, and nice cafteria/bar. Hotel reception was professional and friendly, but breakfast personel could do well with extra training on friendliness and customer attention.

The wonderful staff at Mercure BCC went the extra mile to make us feel welcome. The ladies at reception and in particular Alexandra and Mirela answered our many questions always with a smile, readily helping us to arrange tours and taxis with no drama at all. They were great with kids too — many thanks for my daughter's soft toys! The location of the hotel is perfect - plenty of good eateries around and a stone's throw away from Piata Romana. The room was tidy and new. Would definitely recommend travellers to stay.

It is walking distance to most major sights and close to the university and metro station. The building from the outside, elevator and entryway are pretty basic but the apartment itself is very clean and well equipped. The hot water is slow to come up the pipes from the lower floors of the building but don't worry, it will arrive within a couple of minutes! The host was nice to meet me at 9:30pm. Bucharest is a very nice city. Great visit.

This hotel was a godsend after travelling all day to Bucharest OTP Airport via Manchester and Heathrow Airport, coupled with an early a.m train journey to Brasov (2.5 hour duration) next day. Clean, comfortable, helpful staff, extremely handy for not only the station and Met, but a secure, indoor ATM machine just a stones throw away, en route to station. I highly recommend the Grivita Pub and Grill - just cross over the main road and hey presto - a stress free night with sumptuous food, wine, relaxation and sleep!!!

It is only about 15 minutes from Baneasa airport and the shopping mall with the Carrefour. There are 2 minimarkets across the street for late night beverages and avoiding the minibar. It is close to Aurel Vlaicu Metro. Free wifi, but my connection was intermittent. They have a free PC in the lobby with a wired connection and no charge for a few prints.
