Great location, good facilities overall, however... there's need to upgrade the room furniture - including the beds - as mine was extremely hard, in fact the hardest bed I have slept for a long time. Bathrooms need better plumbing as the toilet in my room was blocked in the second night of my stay, not a good look for a five star hotel. Other than that, the hotel and surrounding area offer a lot of activities for everyone, including wonderful scenic paths for anyone who likes jogging or just a good long walk with small hills along the coastline.

Unfortunately the wifi is not free and not reliable. Beachchairs are charged extra, 15 euro for the day.

A lot of ants in the room ! Very simple quality of buildings construction and design The private pool is small and could be easily seen by "neibours". Also does not ontaine ceramic inside. There is no sea view from the suite. Poor WiFi (works mainly in lobby and restorant). Very expensive. Very few flowers in the resort, only arround public pool. Bottom line: dissapointing. There are so many accomodation possibilities in the are of chalkidiki. Choose another one...

The hotel is very nice, albeit that we travelling in off season and therefore, it was not at it's best. The outside pool was closed due to the season and there was lots of maintenance taking place. We were not disappointed however, as it is almost expected out of season. The spa is good. My only criticisms would be the following; The AC in the room is not user friendly. We suffered with the room being too hot and unfortunately the hotel staff were not helpful at all with getting this resolved. Not the receptionists fault as she was very attentive and arranged for engineer visits, but the engineers themselves were useless. My only other negative was the restaurant in the evening. The menu itself really needs to be changed. A ring binder with pieces of paper falling out is not whats expected of a 5* hotel. Being vegetarian, the options were also incredibly limited. We would recommend this hotel, it was generally a great standard and the staff on reception at the bar were faultless.

We happened to have stayed during the cyclone. The whole area lost power and water for two days. The hotel had no back up generator which would have alleviated this problem. Other hotels in the area were prepared. The only thing the hotel did was give us bottles of water and some small candles. At the end of checkout, no discount was offered for us going through this. Not good. It was a good thing that due to the storm, the temperature had fallen, which made sleeping possible otherwise it would have been a nightmare. We had to flush toilets with buckets of water from the pool.

I came to this resort with my pregnant wife. During our stay I wanted to get an upgrade to our room which we were not fascinated by. Eventually, the staff at the reception agreed to give us a better room but only starting from the day after. Later in the day, I went to the reception again to ask if moving to the better room was possible. The staff did not realise that I actually spoke when he called his colleague to who he said "palli afto to hasso" which translates into "again this idiot"... I do not comprehend what drove this person to react like this. It is the lowest behaviour I have encountered in my life. When I tell people back in Switzerland about this experience, they do not understand. Nobody can simply comprehend. Generally speaking, I believe the resort is terribly overpriced for what the customer receives. We found much better places in Greece (I am half Greek and my wife is Greek) and this was the worst place we stayed at from a price/value perspective.

We booked our stay at Secret paradise last minute. Therefore it was good value. The spa was one of the main reasons we booked this hotel, however once we arrived we were told we could use the gym and pool in the coast but the use of the spa was an additional 10 euros each! Having chosen this hotel based on the spa we decided to pay the 10 euros each, however this was a big mistake. The Jacuzzi's were cold, the employees had to go and switch them on every time you wanted to use it. The steam room also had to be switched on if you wanted to use it therefore it did get a little steamy but it wasn't hot! The sauna was about the only good part! the staff also sat outside so had to wait for them to come back in to turn on anything you wanted to use! Was not worth the money for spa! We ordered chips in the restaurant along with drinks. The chips were very good!It made me look forward to our breakfast which was included in our price. However I wouldn't rate the breakfast I struggled to choose things I liked the Greek yogurt and honey was all I really ate, poor choice of food and wouldn't purchase breakfast here again. Our room was a good size and had a nice balcony, it was clean enough there was a shower curtain in the shower which was not very nice and didn't feel clean and the shower was tiny! Unfortunately we would not recommend this hotel to future travelers and will not return from our poor experience.

We loved our time here! The hotel is perfectly situated in the town of Afytos, you can walk to tons of restaurants and shops. The pool is very nice, but there are also many beaches close by. The staff is very welcoming and helpful. Would definitely come back for another stay!

The first imrpression is good but unfortunately did not been followed but the rest. Sheets were a big issue as out of 4 sheets available in a double room, 3 of them had blood stains on them. So, we had to use just one of them. The bathrooms are in urgent need of remont as they are that old that even the door handle is hanging out on a screw. They have nod been renewed for more than 30 years if we exclude painting of the walls. And note that you HAVE to carry your own shampoo since the staff claimed that the only provide them for the suites (!!!) (finally they provided me with). Concluding, it s a shame for such a nice place with a nice pool and lobby, not to be taken that good care off. I would say that the price of 75 Euros/night is overpriced comparing with the price i am paying to other cosier places with better condiditions.

The hotel location is great with excellent beach front, which can rare be seen in Greece. Staff is very friendly and as always, it was great experience staying at Aegean Melathron for second year. I would highly recommend the hotel to families with small children.

The hotel is situated on an amazingly beautiful beach. Turquoise waters and a luscious landscape. The hotel was very nice. The pool is good, although it's a shame it's not heated out of season. We stayed in a suite with outdoor Jacuzzi, the room was very modern, spacious and nice. The only downside to the room was having 2 single beds pushed together instead of a double mattress. The staff were very friendly and kind and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Being vegan is not easy when travelling to Greece as everything tends to have diary, however, the staff went above and beyond to ensure that we had a delicious breakfast every morning and even purchased some Rice Milk especially for us. Amazing hospitality thank you! Overall, I would definitely recommend this hotel to family and friends.

very nice stay with a very nice buidling, the bathroom and shower facilities could be better, but general opinion is very positive!

We stayed there for altogether 6 nights, had a very pleasant stay, were undisturbed and at the same time could rely on the staff's help when we needed it. wi fi is free and available in the room, too. hotel manager Anna is very nice and helpful.the hotel is value for money, especially for Greece. thank you very much!

We stayed at the Hilltop for 4 nights. We were happily surprised by how close the hotel was to the beach and that it wasn't a long walk to the beach. There was a very relaxed feel to the place and would highly reccomend it.

I had a great vacation,the hotel was very nice,with great people,very helpful and always interested to make your stay as nice as possible,rich breakfast,clean rooms and bathrooms,the bedsheets and towels were changed every 2 days,the rooms was cleaned every other day

Hotel is situated at a very nice position, into the nature with amazing view. The serious problem was the breakfast. Although the breakfast was nice and delicious, people that serving was not enough - only two - to fill empty dishes....

The apartment was beautiful with a lovely comfortable bed and bathroom . I would certainly recommend this place to stay and we will hopefully return . Very, very nice people!

Good value for the money and a friendly staff. Don't expect much from the rooms, since this is a budget hotel, but you got everything for you money. Room that is cleaned on every day basis, free internet and parking, fast check in and out plus a good location.

Together with my boyfirend we had very relaxed stay over 5 nights. New building obviously renovated very short time ago with high quality materials. Very clean and tidy rooms with just enough space (we stayed in 2ppl sea view room). We woke up to the beutifull view in very quiet area (10 mins walk from more attended and much louder beaches). watch out for stones in the sea which makes it almost impossible to enter the water without proper shoes. The place is ca. 5 minutes walk form the pefkochori centre (where you can find quite good selection of bars and restaurants). very convinient place for ppl looking for quiet and relaxed stay. ighly reccomended in may- very few turist and already great weather (a bit windy though ;) )

This place for relaxing holidays; The hotel located in small village Trikorfo near the beach (5-10 min walking); Lovely view on sea from rooms, olive trees on all hotel area,good beach with calm and warm sea; Hotel located on little highland that's not very comfortable for walk up with luggage; If you'll come late at night I recommend notify about it, because when we came was nobody on reception.

There was No responsible person at nights. No beach close to the hotel. Very bad breakfast.

Not only was the place itself great - clean, spacious, fresh, great location, but the service was excellent. Magdelena and her aunt were very accommodating and went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable and convenient. Best experience ever.

General comments - this is not 3 stars accomodation - 1 star, 2 stars (if you are generous), but definately not 3 stars. The room is small, the "king size" bed in room description is actually 2 connected twin beds, which result in wooden frames in the middle of the "king" size bed. Probably, this is because this room is actually part of 2 floors appartment, because we had a connecting door with the upper appartment, which was locked, however (being part of 1 room, we could hear all the talking and the noise from the other room untill 2 a.m.) There is no balcony at all, so that you can actually breath fresh air. Moreover, there is no hanging rat or any place where to hang towels outside, so ours stayed wet (so were the bathing suits). The bathroom looks miserable. There is only 1 pc of small towel provided ( I assume for bath, hands and face together!!!). There was no hot water (not even warm) in the morning. To my question in that manner, I got simple and straightforward reply from the receptionist: "FINISHED". The coffee mashine actually can not be used, because the glass container is missing - but it is in the room (probably just to be said that tere is cofee mashine among the kitchen appliances). In general - miserable, misleading place, which is called 3 star accomodation in Greece, for which we paid 56 EUR. Having been there I can say that this is some kind of a joke. Try to avoid staying there - not worthed at all. Instead go down the road to the sea - there are more, nicer and (probably) cheaper options to spend one/few nights in this area.

Friendly staff and helpful, good location, very well cleaned, one of the best places for a vacantion
