Cluj- Napoca hotels & places to stay

We were expecting a bit more, but overall it was not a bad experience. The staff spoke the best english I`ve heard in transyvlvania, room was spacious, cleaning was great and respectfull, breakfast plentifull. It is a good hotel for business travellers. Wifi is also free, though you need to log in every 24 hours which was a bit annoying after staying in smaller county towns where it was accesable without such limitations. We had a bit of an issue with the temperature. It needs quite some time to heat up, max 27 degrees will get you something around 21-24, depending on where the meter is placed. First night it didn`t have time to heat up, since we arrived around 8 and it felt a bit cold, while the sheets were extremely insulating. After weaking up sweating, but still feeling room temperature cold, we were more prepared the next night. Left the termometer on during the day and slept with sheets only, that did the trick. This was on the first floor where you get the least sun so it might be different on other floors, poor receptionist seemed to be familiar with the issue, when we asked if there is a trick to the termometer, but it`s not like they can build a fire in the room to solve the problem :) However while I do realise that requests in a booking are always subject to availability and I never count on them, putting a couple requesting high floor since they`re on honeymoon to a connecting handycapped room is not something I would expect Hilton to do. The room was absolutely fine, we made a joke about it and I even believe that we had no neighbours for we never heard anyone, but the lack of small attentivnesses such as this is why in the end we felt that it was only OK.

one of the better hotels we stayed at in Cluj. Location is great so you can walk everywhere. the room we had was large with a balcony looking onto the square and the church :)

You need to walk 30 mins to the centre, The rooms are really clean and spacious The view was really good, but you can hear the train noise if u open the window. The bathroom is good and clean, but the bathroom door frame was exposed to water many times and the carpet was moldy and always wet after shower some water leak issues. The staff was really friendly and helped us as they kept the luggage after the check out .

We flew in Cluj late at night and this was always going to be a short stay. Pension is in a quiet area and we got a good night sleep. The staff were amazing with great language skills and gave us tips on where to eat, shop etc. It is a pension and you get what you pay for. Very good place overall.

Everything was good, location is not the best though, it's not in the center, but other than that it was awesome.

there is a bar at the opposite side , the music is on untill 12am at least , the hotel ia located in a alley which is some people will gather there and talk ...and in the moring the church bell is very loud ..

A beautiful hotel that's nice and close to the airport. Well appointed and the complimentary coffee and tea is a lovely treat! Highly recommend.

The breakfast could be great but they run out of bread, when I’ve asked if it’s possible to have some bread the waitress said that they don’t have anymore and left. We took a coffee and omelet without bread and left, very disappointing

We have arrive to Siago Hotel for a half night stay before the flight. We contact the hotel a day before arrival and asked for car parking, the hotel replay that them will save us a place, however when we arrived the stuff on reception said there is no parking left. We had asked his help with payment on street parking (local SMS sending, we told him we will pay him the amount) and he refuse to do it, at last one passenger in street help us. The room we got was on basement, window on street height and very close to road, so we heard and seen every passing car. The bath wasn't so clean and on of the shampoo bag was already open. It was the worsted place we stay in 9 days in Romania and I'm just feel lucky we had stayed there only for a few hours!

central, large and clean. exactly what we needed to explore cluj. one king bed, plus 2 single beds. and a lovely host as well!

The hotel is ideally situated on the main street, steps away from St Michael's Cathedral and the Orthodox Cathedral, within walking distance of the opera house and Palace of Justice. The environment is quiet and nice except for occasional fumes from nearby smokestack. The room is ordinary but clean and functional. A pleasant stay overall. No elevator is a small minus.

The hostel is very nice just in the pedestrian road in old Town, is very modern and convinient. The staff is very helpful, I had a little problem with my bed and they sorted out very fast and very good. They also are very open to give advice on places to see and eat.

my sister and i stayed one night here after a very long train journey. the staff were helpful in offering advice on how to get to the airport to pick up our hire car, what we could expect to pay the cab driver etc. the room was comfortable and cool (no air con) the outdoor courtyard area was being renovated and the staff were apologetic about this but it didn't bother us. basic outdated bathroom but it was clean and the water pressure was good. breakfast was the usual european cold cuts, cheeses, sweets etc. good for a city stopover if you need a place in town. close to the older, nicer part of cluj-napoca (walking distance)

The reception desk spoke great English, and they let us park the car in the small gated back area of the hotel, which was good. The breakfast was nice enough, and the dinner we had at the hotel was delicious! The chef and waiter there are really great, and go beyond to make sure you enjoy their food. There was wired internet which worked. We were there in summer heat, and as we left, noticed there was a room a/c! Otherwise, the street noise is a little loud to keep the windows open at night.

I stayed there 4 days. The room is well kept and clean. Towels were changed regularly. Light bulb not working was changed quickly. Personnel polite, helpful and responsive. Will gladly stay there in the future.

The room was a good size and had very modern features. The service was average, because we weren't able to check into our room at 5 PM, but had to wait an hour. We were offered a room in the interim, but it seemed kind of a waste if we were just going to be in there for one hour. The hotel is in a quite area about 15+ minute walk to the center.

Vila Casa Alesiv has a restaurant where you can purchase breakfast. The hotel’s rooms are modern, clean, and, by Romanian standards, also spacious. The laundry service charges you according to the pieces of clothing you submit. The WIFI is free and efficient. The hotel provides the additional benefit of an enclosed parking area for those courageous enough to drive in Cluj Napoca.

A great hotel with a great view and great restaurant. Worth the money. Easy walk into city centre.

cluj napoca is lovely city take time to find good places to go not all together but worth exploring on foot if you find the old square you could be in 'paris or rome'

We stayed for one night, however this was not the first time. All of our stays were great. The staff were very friendly and the rooms were pretty nice. It is perfectly positioned right next to Cluj's bus station and not far away from the train station. For the price paid, the hotel's offer and standards were perfect.

Very good location in the city center. Studio room with a double bed + a small bed is clean and wifi works very well. Due to no real reception, don't forget to call a receptionist 10 min in advance. English speaking receptionist is very friendly. You can pay cash in EURO or Lei.

Truly above any reproach... maybe only recommendation is to list contact number in the main reservation page

The apartment is very lovely and exactly as photographed. Host is very nice. The location is a bit up the hill from town centre but within walkable distance.

if you have meetings in Buna Ziua neighbourhood is the perfect place to stay.Very Helpfull Staff Clean New!Also near by you have a supermarket. From downtows little far

Good location. Poor breakfast. Communication not good because of language and training. Staff were pleasant thus is a management problem. Suite was massive but buts missing off furniture shower not fully functioning
