THE PEOPLE ARE VERY NICE THERE. MUST BE CAREFUL OF THE BUSES GOING EVERY WHICH WAY. IF YOU ARE NOT AWARE, IT WOULD BE EASY TO GET HIT BY A BUS.
LOTS OF NICE RESTAURANTS & BARS..
This trip I didn't get to go into downtown Denver, as I was on an 11 hr layover to change flights, soggiest got a room, near the airport.
A taxi into downtown would have been a necessity if no friend would drive out to pick you up, and proud trip would be well in excess of a hundred dollars! I can't wait for the high speed light rail extension to be finished, that will connect the airport with the train station and bus station, downtown!
Denver is a city that has both slow and busy side. It is also somewhere you can have more choices of what you want your life to be.
In addition, public transportation(light rail and bus) will probably get you most places you want to be here. Isn't that very convenience? In business view, Denver downtown area has some nice and big companies; in addition, there are some centers which have different activities, festivals, events you can join. In holiday season, you can also go to national parks, skiing, and some small cities around Denver. If you like busy and social life, Denver also has its night life. Bars are close to downtown area where you can do shopping, movies, bowling, drinking..etc. If you like slower life style, there are also different museum you can visit, such as art museum, history museum, Japanese museum...etc. I am sure there are more interesting you can find out on your own, like searching for treasures.
Stay out of the city as freeways will get you into the city very quickly. Parking in the city is cheap ($7 all day).
The 16th street mall has free buses that run up and down the mall every couple of minutes.
