A very clean and comfortable hotel with an amazing breakfast. The staff are incredibly hospitable and kind, but most do not speak English (best to rehearse a few sentences in Spanish if your not fluent). Only thing missing in this hotel is a pool, then it would easily be a 5 star.

This Hampton Inn Guadalajara/Expo is a typical Hampton Inn hotel and quite good but I made a mistake booking it because I thought it was the Hampton Inn by Hilton near the airport where I had stayed before and did not realise that there were two hotels with the same name and this one was far away from the airport so I would advice travellers to check that before booking.

It is worth the money to stay in Westin Guadalajara, good bar, good room view, nice restaurant. Totally great

This is a spanking new property in a new business area of Guadalajara. Fantastic architecture & well thought out rooms makes it stand apart from the other "established" brand hotels in Guadalajara. The staff is relatively "complacent" and need foot-falls to get trained & become an effective unit! I loved the design aspect of this hotel.. This makes a lovely oasis for the busy businessman at the end of the day!

The only regret I had was Im not staying the whole time during my visit in Guadalajara. Stay here for the last night, found out that this hotel is absolutely the best value for money. Very economical, nicely located in centro historico, and everything is free! Wifi, Minibar etc. Will stay here again next time

We were very pleased with our stay. Location could not be better for access to historic center and dining options. Though we didn't use the pool (a bit too chilly) it looks beautiful, surrounded by palms and a lush lawn. The adjacent restaurant and bar are very good indeed, and the staff is both competent and kind. We found our room a bit noisy because the children of guests were a bit loud, as the sounds echoed against the hard surfaces of the halls. Next time (for we'd surely return) we'd avoid room number nine. A big bonus are the street vendors just down the block. The taco stand does a brisk buisiness every evening with both locals and tourists. Just adjacent is a delightful guy making a kind of fried crueller right on the street. Once the dough is fried, his helper splits it open, douses it with sauce (cajeta, strawberry or chocolate) and rolls it in a mixture of sugar and cinnamon. YUM! We cant wait to return!

Catering to both business and leisure travelers, the location of this hotel is only a short walk from the central square and other tourist attractions. The non-smoking property has 10 floors with nice views on account of the large windows. The 2 elevators are large and fast, so getting up and down is easy. The modern interiors are very tasteful, and everything seems new. The entire property was spotless clean. I liked my standard room very much, primarily because it was quite spacious. The bed was very comfortable, and storage areas (closet and drawers) were more than adequate. I enjoyed the large flat-screen TV with international programming. The bathroom and its amenities were well designed and feature an ecological shower. All staff members were efficient and professional. I also booked with a very competitive rate. For sure, I will look at this property again for future trips to Guadalajara!

This hotel looks very good and is new and modern in design. However the modern design makes it seem a bit cold and stark. The small three storey atrium design makes sound from everywhere carry and therefore the rooms are a bit noisy. Especially on the ground floor where I could hear everyone in reception whilst in my room. The room is nice, the beds comfortable, there is a safe but no tea or coffee making facilities. The modern bathroom has a nice walk in shower but with a fixed shower head and the sink is a very shallow one. To flush the toilet it is necessary to have the toilet seat down because the handle is behind and under the toilet shelf. There is a long shelf work area along on the wall with a large TV and that is good but the electrical sockets are down below the shelf and would be better if above it. Breakfast was basically bread, cold meat, cheese and cereal. Overall I am unsure whether or not I would use this hotel again because of the noise factor.

Highly recommend the private room with private bathroom. The private rooms are located in a separate building with it's own entrance, shared kitchen and patio right in the heart of el centro. Great deal.

Many good basics; however, some problems arose such as toilet not flushing property, weak wi-fi, restaurant closed on Sunday afternoon evening. Good sized room. Great chairs! No other restaurants for other shops open nearby. Quiet. Pool was not very warm.

The problem I had was with you Agoda, your confirmation of my reservation had a terrible mistake, When I arrived at the hotel, it said that my reservation was made one day before, so they didn't want to respect the one I did with you. Supposedly I should arrived one day before.

I was very upset at the moment I was told that I had to pay 829 pesos instead of the 697 pesos I was told I had to pay on the app of agoda. I had no where to send an email to about this problem. Also the internet service was really bad. The bathroom had and awful smell that wouldn't go away. They didn't even have the continental breakfast they had announced there!!

Hotel has a good appearance on line and for the price, I thought, that’s a good deal. Once there, my first experience was very negative. The front desk staff was unfriendly and plain out rude. Had to change rooms due to unsafe issues with entry door. Over all stay at this hotel was below average. Probably won’t stay here again.

We had a nice relaxing stay at this modern, and architecturally interesting, hotel in Guadalajara. Reception very service minded and kind enough to give us a room on 22nd floor with a gorgeous view over the city landscape. The room was spacious, with all facilities you might need, and decorated in a beautiful modern style. A nice shopping mall with several restaurant nearby, and just across the road a Sanborns store, one of the best we have come across in Mexico, which has a nice restaurant with a terrace where we used to sit outside on cool evenings and enjoy their excellent cuisine at affordable prices.

this hotel is recommended by a friend. it is a good hotel with good service. but it is more close to traveler instead of business man. anyway, it is ok.

location is very nice, convenient, for biz short staying, my room a little bit old, but quite enough clean, no far from centro, if go out by cab simple tell taxi driver : Holiday Inn Select would be recognize

For those who want to stay at a budget hotel in the centre of Guadalajara, this is a good choice. The hotel (which is actually called Aranzazu Eco Hotel) is popular with Mexican families and groups nad actually has a small, clean, usable swimming pool. The big question is whether to stay in central Guadalajara. Ignore Lonely Planet´s assessment, the city is dirty and down-at-heel and the eating choices are utterly abysmal. I would recommend holiday-makers looking for more to stay either in the west of the city (around the Minerva statue) or in Tlaquepaque, which we liked a lot.

This hotel has good location in central Guadalajara as most tourist attractions are in walking distance or otherwise conveniently accessible. While some furniture seemed a bit old in my opinion, the building itself is absolutely charming. My standard room was spacious and comfortable, and I enjoyed the flat-screed TV as well as the complimentary bottled water. I also liked the bathroom amenities, and I paid a competitive price for the room. The price included breakfast, and my Agoda voucher clearly indicated this fact. However, the records at Reception contradicted my document - and the hotel did not provide breakfast (which looked quite good, by the way). The Reception staff made no effort at all to resolve the unfortunate situation. Actually, the attitude of complete indifference from the 3 gentlemen at Reception with whom I interacted was consistent from check-in to check-out. In 12 years booking Agoda, this is my first "no" review. Beyond doubt, I won't book here again.

The hotel layout is lovely, with the indoor patio. It gets noisy though being in the center, and next to a church that calls to mass with loud bells at early hours. I didn't try the breakfast or restaurant, since there were so many choices available around for delicious Mexican food. The staff was very accommodating as well. Unfortunately I didnt make use of the pool in the rooftop, but I certainly checked it out and it looked awesome for a break from the burstling city.

mostly quiet stay with an unobtrusive staff who spoke english. there is only one restaurant that services the hotel and while the food was inexpensive, there was little variety. it was a generally good hotel for the price paid.

Our stay was nice but it was very noisy due to street traffic on Vallarta St., a major thoroughfare in Guadalajara. Even eleven stories up it sounded like a window was open. Would recommend a suite not facing Vallarta St. The room was quite large which was wonderful as we had lots of luggage and beauty school supplies as the week wore on. It would hsve been nice if a luggage cart had been available in the lobby to transport belongings. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location was central to my sightseeing walks but further from the school than appeared using the application map. But taxis are very reasonable in Guadalajara so jumping in a taxi was very easy when we needed to get back to the hotel quickly. Overall a very nice stay.

We enjoyed our stay and will book again when we return to Zapopan/Guadalajara. Beds were good, good WiFi connectivity, shower was very good, room was clean, fully-equipped kitchen, very helpful staff.

A very beautiful hotel with comfortable rooms. It is very tastefully decorated and oozes Mexican art charm. Rooms are clean and hot water was perfect in the shower. The breakfast is also a great option. Overall, great stay. My only feedback is, I did notify of early arrival in the special request and requested them to communicate with me on my options but I never heard from anyone and in the day didn't have a room until later. This could have been managed better for a better service.

staff was super friendly. location was a little iffy at night as it borders a kinda sorta rough neighborhood but easy walking distance to centro downtown area. thanks for the great stay!

From check in to the way the villa is laid out is really great. We arrived late and got wine presented and the breakfast was great too. Sad we couldnt stay at this place longer
