Guatemala City hotels & places to stay

pricey food at the restaurant. when i asked for mosquito spray during the dinner, the response is there is none at the restaurant and you have to buy yourself a spray for almost USD10. not impressed.

Located in a nice neighbourhood. About 30mins walk to the central, or there's transmetro that you can use. Staff was helpful, kitchen was ok, hot shower, extra blanket upon request.

Stayed here for two nights in February and will not forget the cold rooms (16-17 degrees Celsius). All attempts to heat up the room with the aircon failed. When I called them, they said the heater doesn't work and that they don't have heating in Guatemala (although the aircon unit had a heating function). So I had to work with my jacket and shoes on. Not acceptable for a 5-star hotel in my opinion. Which is sad, cause otherwise the hotel is quite good. Spacious rooms with all amenities, friendly staff, great breakfast buffet and free wifi.

The host is friendly and the location is very good. The price is cheap and wide. The kitchen is also available. It is clean and safe. Thank you host.

Great location and helpful staff for airport pick up and drop off. But like many other hotels in Guatemala there are no screens on the windows, mosquitoes, no fan and no AC. So you will sweat with no air movement

We stayed at Marianas for 2 nights. It was conveniently close to the airport and an easy Uber into Guatemala City. The owners were delightful and we loved to fantastic Xmas decorations. Room was large and comfortable and there was a nice terrace.

When you take a shower and filthy water backs up from the drain. The experience is vitiated.

Guatemala City has some good and some not so good neighborhoods; this hotel is located on a a good one, where you can feel safe walking around. The hotel room was superb, staff was courteous, hotel facilities are world-class, for a very reasonable pricing. Walking distance to a mall also makes things easier. If this hotel is sold up for the needed dates, try getting a room at the other nearby hotels. The only negative comment is about the hotel Wi-Fi Internet access, which suffers a bit. It's free and there is no paid option to upgrade it, but even not being ideal, worked. Hope they can improve on it in the future, but this wouldn't make me choose another hotel.

Hotel Sevilla is a basic hotel in Zona 1. It is not fancy, but the beds are comfortable and the staff at the desk are very helpful. We walked to all the places that we wanted to enjoy in Zona 1 and to the trans metro which took us to the places we wanted to get to in Zona 13. It is also handy to the Linea Dorada bus station, where you catch the overnight bus to Flores for a visit to Tikal

I stayed here twice - once on the way into, and once on the way out of Guatemala, and I'd do it again. Less than 10 minutes to the airport, in a zone 13 location that makes accessing the rest of the city very easy. My room was large and cozy, excellent bathroom, fast wifi. The staff were very attentive and eager. The garden out back was quite nice to sit in and have coffee in. All in all, a solid experience. My only gripe is being charged too much for the airport transfer, when a taxi costs one third of the price. That's a bit silly.

This is a family friendly Hotel where the staff and owners go the extra mile to make your stay great no request is to small or to large they will do the best to make your stay one to remember the restaurant is excelent with a good selection 5 stars all the way 👍👍👍👍

A great place to spend the night in Guatemala City between flying and moving around the county. Facilities are clean and comfortable. Best thing about this place is the host, who is extremely helpful (and is a native English speaker).

Pros- location, new modern hotel; rooms are spacious and tastefully designed; great gym facility; friendly and professional staff. Cons - None

The Euro Hostal is in a gated area. Check-in was easy. The hostal is creatively decorated. My bed was very comfortable. I had a wonderful balcony overlooking the city lights. Nice warm shower. Very helpful employees. Free ride to airport in the morning. This place was the best and it totally lived up to the reviews. I was sad I couldn't stay longer. Don't hesitate to reserve yourself a room here. The price is wonderful for the services and the room. Great value!

They are very helpful. Staffs are excellent, polite and respectful. Location is the best. Nothing to complain about. It was absolutely a pleasant experience. Love the place.

Pleasantly surprised but this hotel, clean, reasonably priced and the staff efficient. Only down side is the ground floor bar is way too loud to be able to have a decent conversation

I enjoyed my stay in the hotel. It is not far from the airport and provide airport pick up which is very important as my flight arrives later after midnight. The next day, the hotel owner was so friendly to give me some local information and it took me just about $4 to go to city center. He also offered a $10 shuttle to Antigua. Everything works well in my short stay in Guatamala.
