Always a delight to come to HKG. Getting around is so easy, the food is good everywhere. It's not cheap, but who cares? A few days in HKG will always guarantee a full recharge from stress.
Hong Kong is like any international city expensive and crowded. Expect to queue to eat in restaurants and the food isn't exactly world class.
Everything is expensive, even luxury goods considering there is no tax. Hong Kong is a must see place, but by no means the best city in Asia.
Getting old but still has its charm. Plenty of shopping and dining options, eastern and western. Bit too much bustle for my taste and it reminds me too much of Chinese cities where everything's kinda dirty and old.
Really convenient public transportation and a world class airport make transiting through here a breeze.
Note that people living in Hong Kong don't talk English that much. It is quite difficult to speak to them or get an answer and some may actually sound rude and act rude.
If you are good at following directions and looking at maps, you'll be fine. You don't need to talk to anyone a lot. I love HongKong because I can go different places via the MTR with no fuss and I can walk around and feel safe. I love that I can go shopping anywhere and I always have somewhere to go. I will always come back to HongKong.
Hong Kong is a host of activities, dining places, shopping area, Chinese religious interests and many more.
hongkong is really the shopping mecca in asia. you will find various finds from the overly expensive to the the cheapest.
weather is great during winter, where the weather is much cooler. it has a array of activities to choose from, you may go to disneyland and ocean park that will make you feel like a kid again, go to ngong ping and have a trek at the lantau trail or the wisdom path for some exercise and meditation.
People not nice, especially the waitress and sales. HK is so crowded. Air not good. People seems like angry.
VERY IMPRESSED WITH THE GOOD TRANSPORT SYSTEM. IT WILL BE BETTER IF THERE IS A WIDER GAP AT ONE OF THE ENTRY/EXIT POINT AT MTR FOR BUDGET TRAVELLERS' LUGGAGES ACCESSIBILITY
A great place to really do "value for money" shopping with their street shopping like Temple Street and Mongkok as well as the huge discounts offered by select stores in the malls specially for shoes and RTW clothes.
Food, shopping, street walk, night life, attraction. Love this country so much, been visit here for 3 times.
I enjoyed a few hiking places, visited Victoria Peak and Victoria Harbour, stroked to the long walk path, Star Garden, and a mainly Taiwanese Publication book store.
The morning science of Tai Chi group in the Happy Valley racing track was impressed to me, especially in a cold winter day. The ferry boat, sail boat, cruise boat, and big freight raft were out to draw tourists' attentions. You can find variety products from around the world when you shop in HK. We tried Chinese, Tailand, and Japanese restaurants.
Hong Kong have nice restaurants and snacks everywhere. The traffic is quite convenient that you can easily take the public bus or railway to scene spots.
love the nightmarket and food in Hongkong. People there were still rude in talking while we trying to bargain the price at nightmarket.
Well, overall was good
Hong Kong must be on your bucket list for countries to visit. The food is great, the surroundings are clean and the transportation system is awesome.
All of these comes at a price though for it is very expensive in Hong Kong.
It's a cool city with lots to see and do. The MRT is superb, and easy to use. The humidity is heavy, so you need to shower regularly.
Bear that in mind when booking accommodation.
Hong Kong definitely deserves the title of world city of Asia, east meets west. From high end shopping to bargain shopping it has it all.
The peak tram is a must do as well as the cable cars near the airport. If you have time, visit Macau for the day trip if you want to experience Vegas without going to the US.
Staying on Hong Kong Island is my preferred area. Very good restaurants at Wan Chai Area and Central.
. shopping very good with connected malls like One Pacific to IFC, great nightlife around as well in that area... Don't miss the laser and light show from Kowloon harbor view to Hong Kong Island every night 8.00PM free :)
here you can find really old buildings, also good buildings with city lights around, you should put HK for your trip list.
Hong Kong had become a very crowded place with lots of arrogant and rude China nationals, hated it. We loves Hong Kong's food but might not be back because of the over populated issue.
As a Regular traveller to HK i still find the atmosphere fantastic and it really has something for every body.
Food, Bars, Shopping as well as things like The Peak will keep you entertained.
Hong Kong is the New York of Asia - a city that never sleeps, has it all and can offer you great shopping, fantastic food and great experiences in a very smallarea.
One of my favourite cities in the World!
The humans here are unbelievably rude. They will shout at you and give rude gestures. They will talk behind your backs as if you are dirt, service is really really horrible, ugly people on the inside.
Beware and don't take it to heart,
easy to go, food and shopping are good. people in not friendly. Hotel is over price in high season and no CRM event I have been at BP intl for 4 times.
The people in hongkong is unfriendly, lack of people can speak english, even policeman can not undstand english,,its hard for you to find places,,i recommended to bri g your gps while in hongkong, the people who can help when you lost is staff in hotels.
There are impatient people everywhere around you, so you have no time to think and decide what to do next.
Best to have a plan and stick to it lest be mobbed by angry pedestrians. Don't expect too much service from staff, they generally give no hoots toward customer satisfaction. I recommend business travelers to go there, because I would never go there out of free will if I was not made to by my company.
We like Hong Kong and will be back again get but will not be staying at the Royal View..we have stayed at the Panda Hotel before and wish we had went back there .
Hongkong is a small city.there's a lot of place to visit like Disneyland,Ocean Park,Big Budha and many more.
If you love to see all these place you need atleast 3-5 days so you can enjoy your visit not so in a hurry.
Came here 33 years ago. Did not have a good impression of the residents. This time, my husband and I very impressed with the kindness and helpfulness given to us.
On the whole I like the Hong Kong people. Very polite and gracious.
Winter in HK is not cold, you can even wear Summer shorts there. But in case, bring a jacket with you if you are travelling in December- January.
There are a lot of parks and stairs in HK that can be a photo-taking spots too! If you have enough time, go and explore different stairs painting around HK!
Hong kong is a shopping and leisure paradise. Do visit places of attraction like the Disneyland, Ngong Ping, The peak and Ocean Park if you are a first time visitor of Hong Kong.
