"Very pleasantly surprised by this hotel as whilst noticeably outdated it is obvious the management continues to go to good lengths keep the rooms in decent condition. Dinner was excellent, check in efficient and all staff very hospitable, friendly and professional. We even got a free upgrade to a deluxe king room with excellent 2nd (top) floor views over waterhole. The waterhole immediately in front of the hotel is idyllic but unfortunately for us nothing of significance came across for sunset. This is always a lottery and nothing the hotel can guarantee. Overall an excellent stay, probably slightly overpriced for Zimbabwe, but beggars can’t be choosers as so little alternative accommodation in the Hwange Main Camp area. "
