IPOH, I will always remember this place! all good, the Old Town really reflect the past of a certain town, food were amazing! People we've met were great and the places like Gua Tempurung is exciting! I would definitely go back Ipoh one of these days!
It is a quaint little town with lots of old buildings and beautiful old architectures. It is a very relaxing town, with no issue of traffic and parking at all.

Ipoh is an old tin mining town with few newly established shopping centres. There are many limestone caves for tourists to visit around Ipoh, the most notable ones are Gua Tempurung and Kek Lok Cave.
One of the must try food is the Tauge Ayam (bean sprouts). Ipoh's bean sprouts are thicker & juicier compared to those else where.
I stayed in Ipoh for 3 days, had spent 1 days in the Lost world of Tambun, kids really enjoy it. 2nd day visited a few cave including 清心岭,霹雳洞,极乐洞。we stop by Tambun to buy Limau Bali, 362 烧饼。Then we went to Ipoh old town to drink their famous white coffea.

If you just go one or two days, go to old town first since the shops will be closed earlier than new town, take a coffee break, get around the train station, etc.

the weather in ipoh is very humid and hot. always bring unbrella and a bottle of water with you. or just drop any restaurant for their iced tea or coffee, soya bean and tau fu fa in old town, caramel custard in tin jun restaurant are some of the famous attraction in ipoh old town
I spent my first day in Ipoh Old Town, just explore the kopitiam there. All of the hawker stalls are managed by the owner themselves, not by foreign workers, which is why the food is so up to my expectation.
