Stayed here with my parents for our last two nights in Jerusalem- what a beautiful charming hotel full of character, such a change from the large corporate hotels we had stayed in on our group tour of Israel. As my Mum said staying at this hotel really made her feel like she was in the Middle East as opposite to the international hotels where we felt we could have been anywhere in the world. Staff we very friendly and very accommodating as my parents were welcome to stay and use the hotel facilities as they waited to get picked up for a late flight. Very atmospheric, and beautifully set out hotel 🙂

Jerusalem is NOT a cheap city, so this hotel is reasonable for its standard. It is NOT as cheap as comparable Ibis hotels in other big cities. The breakfast is quite varied and a little different each day which is appreciated. The hotel WiFi is reasonable. The staff are lovely and accommodating. Check out time is 11am and don't even think to ask for late check out (even if ou are an Accor member) because the place is FULL all the time. Location is great, just off Jaffa Street with a lot of food options nearby. The walk to the Old City is about 10-15 minutes. The tram line connects directly to the Central Bus Station (very convenient). They have a very nice (but short) happy hour daily. I would stay again in the future most definitely.

This is in a very convenient location, i.e right next to the new gate to the old city Jerusalem. The exterior looks fancy, and has a roof-top terrace where you can see the old city. The hotel room was clean. The staff was nice and helpful. Breakfast was great with plenty of choices. The room was similar to those in a high-end 3-star hotel or low-end 4-star hotel you find in the U.S (this may be a general case in Israel): (1) the bath room was very small, hard to turn around; (2) bed has cheap mattress which was not very comfortable; (3) furniture were simple and torn out.

A lovely stay in a comfortable hotel. The city of Jerusalem is amazing and the Eldan was the perfect place to return to each night as a sanctuary. It is also in a wonderful location, diagonally across from The King David Hotel and across the street from the most beautiful YMCA I have ever seen. It was a nice walk down to Mamilla Shopping Mall, with some nice restaurants. The Eldan's furnishings were just a step above adequate, but the staff was outstanding! We got back late one night from a journey to Israel's North and we were completely exhausted but also very hungry. Dining hours had finished, but the Eldan staff still went the extra mile and put together a very nice dinner for us so that we didn't have to go out again. We were so grateful! Would definitely come back to the Eldan whenever we return to Jerusalem, and that is the best compliment I can think of!

I was in Jerusalem with my wife from July 30 to August 5. In my opinion the hotel is not a 4 but 3 star. But still for its price it’s a very good solution. The rooms are quite clean and well equipped. The breakfast is quite good. The hotel is situated not far from the Old City (only 5 minutes of walk to the nearest gate to the Old City and 10-13 minutes to the Church of Holy Sepulcher). Though it is in Muslim quarter, which is of course more noisy and dirty than the others but still it is very safe to stay in this quarter. At least for a couple it is very safe. I don’t know how it is for a single woman. The hotel staff is just excellent, especially Nirvana. She is very helpful and really loves her job. In overall I would give 8 points from 10 for the hotel and would not mind to stay there next time we would be in Jerusalem. We were in Jerusalem during the last war between Israeli army and Hamas but there was nothing reminding us about the war, except of course the fact that there were very few tourists and it was easy to go everywhere and to bargain when buying something (the sellers were always saying that if there wasn’t this war they would sell the item twice more expensive). I was second time in Jerusalem and know not from the reviews how many tourists should be in the city if there was no war. So, it is very safe to go there now and I recommend not to delay the visit because of the war.

The hotel is very close to the Damascus Gate of the Old City and has the flavor of Arab East Jerusalem from the lobby to the suites. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was more than adequate with wait staff in the dining area. It was a little difficult to find in the street mosaic of Jerusalem and street parking was limited so we parked in the hotel garage for $20/night. Transportation is easy since there are many busses and a new train line which stops at all the key tourist locations. The room was decent with a bedroom and living room with kitchenette. They did not provide coffee or tea so we bought our own at the 24-hour market around the corner. Some parts of the hotel appear to need some repairs or improved maintenance. Part of the charm is the authentic old world feel and service. The shower hose was not anchored to a secure support which caused it to spray all over if you did not hold it while you washed. I reported it to the desk who wanted to repair it, but we asked them to wait until we checked out. Overall, a good value and a nice choice for us.

I stayed in Jerusalem 4 nights, 2 nights in Jewish part Jerusalem - SHANI, MONTEFIORE, other 2 nights in hotel RITZ in moslim part of Jerusalem. Perfect staff at reception and perfect waitres at Breakfast and Bar. They worked very hard and i felt like a visitor of 5 star hotel in Dubai :-) And i apreciatte cleanliness all of the hotel.

We had the best time at the Post Hostel in Jerusalem. The staff was really super cool and helpful! The Post Hostel also offers various tours in Jerusalem. We arrived on Friday afternoon and did the Free Shabbat Tour with Shahar > best tour guide ever! The tour started at 6:15 so just right before sunset. It was a really magical experience to witness Shabbat at the Western Wall! The lobby, the balcony and especially the bar in the Post hostel was always a cool spot to hangout at and grab a beer after a long day of sightseeing! We felt very welcome and being warmly taken care of by all the staff members! We can dearly and highly recommend the Post Hostel to anyone travelling to Jerusalem! :) It offers everything you need for a perfect stay in Jerusalem! Eyal Hotel was great. The room was clean and spacious. The hotel was centrally located in Jerusalem, yet it was quiet. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were delicious. We will stay here every time we come to Jerusalem.

We were 2 senior aged couples off a cruise ship who stayed here 2 nights while we independently explored the old city of Jerusalem and Bethlehem. Located just a few steps from the Damascus Gate, this hotel is ideally located for the Old City. And Golden Walls also is close to the bus station from which we took buses round trip to Bethlehem. We will stay here again in a few weeks. NOTE: The hotel lobby and lowest floor of rooms are located on the 2nd floor (USA terminology) of the building, and there is no elevator, so be prepared to climb about 12 steps. Staff were friendly and very helpful.

They only accept cash and not credit cards which is disappointing, so if you travelling here either make sure Agoda charges your card immediately or take enough cash with you to settle the bill when you arrive. Money Exchanges and ATM's are problematic in Old Jerusalem.

There is a parking in the backyard but is usually full! For the second day we used it but for the first we used nearby underground parking(about 150m/ 50 schekels per day or 10 per hour). Perfect location for Old city, West Jerusalem and Olive mount. Nice breakfast and kind attitude of staff! Having in mind hotel status and situation in Israel - very good value if you are not luxury clients!

It’s probably about a half mile from the old city of Jerusalem. It’s probably a good fifteen minute walk. On the way back it seems all up hill! The place was great. The breakfast was good. The price in the bar for two sodas and two french fries was about $20.00. There are some good Lebanese restaurants within a few blocks. Great place to stay

This is a hotel/ event place on a kibbutz in Jerusalem-- major benefit is the ease of access, not the usual case with kibbutzim. It does not have the luxury feel of an up-class hotel/ resort but it's nice, clean, and the staff, exceptionally friendly and helpful. There is an archaeological site on the premises, and historical sites from more recent history: the kibbutz was the scene (among many) of major battles in the War of Independence, and between 1948-67, was right on the line between Jordan and Israel. It is situated on a hill and the views, especially if one gets them explained, are marvelous. The food needs upgrading, bland, and it's a walk outside to get to the pool, hot tub, and work out area,which don't have good signage. The pool is covered and largely for lane swimming, not for leisurely hanging out. There is a large lawn for lounging, with kids' inflated slides.

We had an unbelievable stay at the Herbert Samuel. The staff from security, reception, manager, housekeeping,, and others were so gracious, accommodating, helpful, and truly personified 5-star service. The location is right where all the action is, walkable to the market, old city, shops, and restaurants. The pool, sauna, and breakfast view is definitely an added bonus to the well-appointmented superior room and bathroom. The only downside to the hotel is there is no parking on site and no valet service. Other than the parking, we would highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Jerusalem.

While the website claims that there is free parking available, the staff later claimed this only "if it's available." Unfortunately for most of our stay it was not. Even when there were clearly spaces in the very small lot that they have, they refused to allow us to use them. Unfortunately this, together with the fact that the apps for paying for parking in Jerusalem do not allow you to register with an overseas number, meant we received 3 parking tickets for 100 NIS each. If you need parking while you are in Jerusalem, this is not the place to book. It's brilliantly located, reasonably clean (though the staff can do with being quieter at 7am) and reasonable priced for someone who wants the frum atmosphere and setting.

We stayed at the Jerusalem Castle with my girlfriend for one night and everything was perfect! The location, accommodation, the view, staff and everything was great. We really enjoyed our stay in Jerusalem and the Jerusalem Castle gave our trip an extra happiness!

The location of the hotel and the price were on top of our list. This is a perfect location and room setup for a big families like us, we were couple with 5 kids. The rooms felt like they last renovated in the 70’s but kept well, and and I recommend that they will need to upgrade the electric outlet to the same they have in the dining room with the USB outlets. The breakfast was amazing one of the best we had and highly recommended. Will stay here again.

Nice, clean hotel with good rooms. And a very good price. Very close to busses going directly and quickly to Jerusalem. The staff was very kind when I leaved so I could leave my luggage and pick it up after the office was closed.

We stayed at the St. George Hotel on two separate occasions. The staff was extremely kind and quickly attentive to every question or need. Jiries and Majd gave directions, arranged shuttles or taxis, and were helpful to every guest we saw. The location of the hotel is perfect - close to the Old City and near many shops and food options. As an added bonus, there was a pool on the rooftop, where we spent several hours relaxing. We didn't use the restaurant or bar, but both looked comfortable and were busy. The lobby was quiet and a pleasant place to sit and wait or catch some rest between walks. In summary, we highly recommend the St. George Hotel! Thanks very much to all the staff for making our stay in East Jerusalem even more memorable!

We had a lovely stay at this hotel. The room was comfortable, had everything we needed. Rooms and bathrooms very clean, the shower was fantastic! Nice breakfast with lots of options. The hotel staff were very polite and helpful. It is an an ideal location for exploring Jerusalem. Only a 10 minute walk to the Old City and right in the heart of the social scene of the city, a short walk to Ben Yehuda Street. People of Jerusalem like to stay up late! We had a room facing the street and could hear people and music into the early hours. This is out of the hotel's control, and didn't bother us. However, if you are a light sleeper perhaps ask for a room that faces the rear of the hotel. Otherwise, would definitely recommend.

The staff is nice. The hotel it self is in a very good location for people who need to stay around Hadasa hospital, but it looks like the maintenance is poor and the hotel is outdated. Breakfast was nice, nothing special.

I reserved the hotel through Agoda whose website gave no indication that it is a strict Jewish establishment and heavily frequented by Orthodox Jewish families. I arrived mid-morning on a Saturday (Shabbat) and was required to complete the formalities in some strange back room as, apparently, the sight of Reception staff using computers would have been offensive to some guests - the same guests perhaps who were busy using their mobile phones and talking loudly. The same Sabbath restrictions applied to the Room Service menu - almost half the items are not served on religious holidays or Sabbath However - the room (No 1922) was excellent - spacious, clean, large balcony, although instead of the large bed I had requested there were two small beds pushed together. Swimming pool is a good 20 metres - but seemed to be closed from about 5.00 pm - 09.00 the next day, so it was noy very convenient for a late afternoon swim or for an early morning swim Mini bar was empty BUT the hotel is close to a nice park and to the wonderful Old City

Modern & nice with a bit of an edge. (Paid $143/night. Staff are friendly - Nella at the front & Ahmed in the Dining room. Breakfast was terrific. Rooms are cozy - mine had lots of natural light. Bring your camera to the rooftop terrace for a terrific view. Location, staff, food all make this hotel a keeper.

I had a wonderful experience staying at the hotel and wanted to say thank you to the staff working there. The room I stayed was spacious and very very clean. Besides the comfort of the room, what amazed me the most was how lovely and helpful the staff were. One night I came in later after travelling to the West Bank and started to chit chat with two girls in the reception ( sorry I forgot to ask your names) about the culture, the history, the politics...etc. It was really intereting to converse and exchange opinions with the different people around the world. I was going to stay for a little longer, however, the snow was coming so I sorta had to leave Jerusalem due to my flight schedule. Thank you for everything, I shall go back to Jerusalem again and stay in your hotel.
