Always stayed at the Serena when I'm in Kampala, but this time they surpassed expectation. The staff were available and willing to be of help and the rooms were perfect, serene and exquisite. You wouldn't realize you were in one of Kampala's busiest area. Plus to proximity to many great places to eat and enjoy the social life.

I booked this place for my mum who needed a get-away. I live outside of Uganda. The customer service was amazing. When I called to see if she had checked in, the front staff were so friendly and assuring. There was no hassle for her when she checked in. The room , executive room was gorgeous. It had a fridge, microwave, mini hot plate and a king sized bed. I was ve...

Business centre useful but printing not colour. HBT Russel has become a sort of home away from home. It’s a nice, clean hotel with simple but comfortable and clean rooms with a great staff. It’s 24 hour restaurant has good selections and reasonable prices, especially their lunch buffet of local food. For under $5 you can eat great Ugandan food to your hearts desire. The location is perfect in the middle of the city....

Booked a single room at $59. Could not close my mouth at poor room condition. Only two soaps are in the toilet and not sure when it was cleaned. All the noise outside coming in due to poor ceiling without any soundproof material. I am not that tall only 175cm but could not stretch my legs all the way in the bed due to it frame. Only thing I liked about this hot...

I've been a frequent visitor at this hotel over the past year but do not trust and in particular for women, who might be living, working in Uganda they will tell you they have rooms, it will show up as booked on this website and others and when you reach they will take you to an offsite place about 15 minutes away down a lane that is frankly uncomfortable. You will be ...

Staff and Manager on duty decided to block our room access card due to the mistake of the check-in staff did not ask for deposit money. After coming back from our visiting we found our doors access cards are blocked and we where forced to keep our families on the collider till we go and pay the deposit money. WE TOLD THEM THIS IS NOT THE WAY TO DEAL WITH CUSTOMERS DUE ...

First of all, if you are thinking about going to Uganda for a vacation stop thinking about it and DO IT! I have been to over 40 countries and I can honestly say nothing can beat Uganda. The people, the nature, the adventures even the food was all fantastic. Second, the Humura Resorts are a great place to stay. Kampala, while a great city is very busy, crowded and n...

I booked through Agoda, but the per night rate was deducted from my Credit Card, and when I arrived at the hotel, although I had my Agoda confirmation, the reception did not know about my reservation. I had to pay cash again for two nights. I am now trying to contact the Hotel via email, but have no success. I am extremely unhappy, and would not recommend them at all.

I had a marvelous stay in Uganda at the Tick Hotel. Wonderful interiors, very good services (outstanding staffs) and excellent breakfast, lunch, and dining too, must recommend the hotel's restaurant for the exquisite taste in all the different dishes. Very reasonably prices in all for this luxury hotel.

+nice garden +the girl for daytime reception is friendly and caring +spacious twin room -far out -loud street in front -closes down early, we felt like a disturbance everytime we came home after 9pm. -bathroom needs maintainance, the loo is clogging up easily - in the room around the mosquito net we found still remaining mosquito bodies. -expensive for the service, ...

Clean hostel, in touristy area of Kampala, busy with other backpackers and groups of volunteers. The hostel staff were very nice however didn’t have a good experience in the restaurant and I checked out early and moved as I felt uncomfortable. Rude waitress in the restaurant argued with me, insinuating that I was a liar about the meal that I received making a scene in ...

-Free laundry was helpful. -the property photos are inaccurate. The rooms look totally different. We booked double room with shower. First we got a 4 bed dorm with shared shower. We insisted on double room. But the caretaker was fearful and refused to ask his boss. When he did, we only managed to get 4 bed dorm with private shower. Unfortunately we realized later that...

Really clean large room. Bathroom had a bath. Nice little bar/restaurant downstairs although music was blasting out with just the two of us in there. Can sit out on a balcony with a beer though and watch the world go by. Easy to get into the main town from here. Lots of restaurants nearby, the gadaffi mosque is close by to if you want a great view over the city from ...
