"Cleanliness is great. However, the sinks are toilets are not well scrubbed. I didn't try their food. Breakfast wasn't great on my first day so I skipped day 2. My room had lots of food ants walking on the wall. Despite all these, I have to admit that the hotel has a great staff. Welcoming, quick to respond and nothing went missing from my belongings after l left them in my room. "

"Came here after two months working in Kakamega and was seriously impressed with almost every facet. The main lodge isn't huge but is perfect for sitting and enjoying a meal or a drink with views of lake Victoria. The rooms are all separated cabins that are way nicer than they have any business being. The flat screen and AC in every cabin are the epitome of luxury, And while I personally did not use them it's still nice to have them there. The entire compound is located within the Jambo impala sanctuary and you will see zebras, giraffes and more on your walk to check in. Food and staff were excellent, Kevin and Douglass were bending over backwards to accomadate everyone. I have not seen more helpful or friendly staff anywhere in Kenya. Period. Overall the only con was that when I booked the location it did not tell me about the $22 entrance fee to the sanctuary that isn't covered. Also to those trying to book here, keep refreshing the site, it drops the price. Would recommend"
