Hostal Casa Amaya
"Had a fantastic stay here. Although it is called a Hostel, you get your own room. At the same time, the shared kitchen, lounge area and balcony means that you get to hang out with fellow travelers (if you want to), chat and exchange tips.
Alfredo, the owner, is a really lovely and helpful person who speaks German, English and Spanish and comes every day to clean the bathrooms and communal areas. He knows the island really well and can advise on walking trails and activities. He has an organic garden nearby from which he offers fruit and vegetables for sale and which you can visit.
There are 5 rooms with a capacity for eight guests sharing two bathrooms. It is cool, clean and comfortable and tastefully furnished. There is everything you need and everything works as it should. My bed was really comfortable.
The town is a lively little place and you feel right in the middle of it. Its a great base for exploring this beautiful island but is not at all touristy.
Highly highly recommended!"Show more
