The place is beautiful and posh. Each house is styled individually in a traditional, but over-stated Flemish style built between 1880-1939.
The beach is big and can be very windy, although ideal for sandyachting which is great fun. The main street Rue de Metz is full of fantastic restaurants and food shops. You won't find any cheap places to eat, although most are moderately priced instead of very expensive, which is a relief for the average world traveller.
