Mercure Hotel Den Haag Leidschendam
"For us it was a wonderful location : fifteen mins from Central Station using trams 2 and 6 , running every five mins, also tram 19 going straight to Delft from the hotel. ( Daily ticket Six Euros fifty).
Situated next to a large expanse of water with good restaurants overlooking the lake.
Unfortunately there was a down- side :
The room was tired and bathroom tiles and fittings in need of a good clean. The balcony was bare concrete and unswept, which one would not expect . Two of our four nights we had to go to reception as we had only been left one bath towel, and to be honest the quality of the towels was poor for a 4 star hotel.
However, despite the above the staff were very good, the bed and pillows extremely comfortable, the corridors, decor and building of a good standard, and the hotel provided a quiet environment despite being busy. We did enjoy our stay and would happily return when hopefully any refurbishment and update will have been completed."Show more
