"It’s an old but nice hotel in the historic center of Locarno. The staff spoke english and german, no problem with that. We got a bigger room than we booked (apartment) and all was fine, only thing that bothered us a bit was the design metal object installation on the neighboring Palacinema building - it looks nice but makes a horrible noise when it gets windy (and it was veery windy during the night of our stay), but that is not the hotel’s fault. The breakfast was a typical european hotel breakfast, so we knew what to expect. An espresso for the breakfast would be nice instead of a filter coffee, but the neighboring table asked for some and got them, so I guess it’s on request. We also ate in the hotel’s restaurant and were positively surprised, the food was good (we had pizzas and pastas), no complaints. And the price was also fine compared to the rest of Switzerland. It’s not a fancy hotel, but if you came to enjoy Ticino instead of spending time inside hotel, very recommended!"

"the hotel is located near the train station. it is advisable that guests who do not drive carry lighter luggage as they need to climb a rather steep slope to reach the hotel. hotel is modern is well furnished. the room is spacious, the toilet is big and the bed comfortable. the balcony faces the nearby lake and the view was great. there are many shops and restaurants within walking distance and they close rather late."

"We stayed in the hotel during the Locarno film festival. Compared to the hotels in the city centre, this hotel is located in a very quiet and nice residential neighbourhood, a 20-minute walk to the Piazza Grande, but only 10-minute walked to the Palexpo. The hotel room is very spacious and clean, with a mountain-view balcony. The decoration of the room is more like a home rather than a hotel. The staff were very friendly. The hotel also has a small outdoor swimming pool and a terrace, not very crowded in the afternoon and early evening. "
