“Beautiful residential area, near the embassy row. Stone's throw away from Kensington Palace and Hyde Park. Easily accessible by buses and Kensington High Stree Station. Apartments have been newly revamped/upgraded. We were first assigned apartment 11 (2-bedroom) on the 4th floor but the lift break down so we were moved to apartment 1 (3-bedroom) on the lower ground floor. Both apartments are superb. Although housekeeping has to be reminded to pay attention to the details (of cleaning)”

“I was a bit worried before I got here because of some low rating reviews. However, while I was staying here for two days, I had no difficulty staying here except I had to jump over my carrier. At least I could leave my carrier open on the floor, though. The room was clean during the stay (hotel will NOT change your bed sheets but Will make the bed for you). Shampoo, bodywash, and soaps were refilled. The room had a good air conditioner, unlimited hot water from the shower, and a small TV which had a minor issue(maybe resolution problem). Wifi was working fine and okay speed. I was also satisfied with the breakfast buffet. It had various menus and decent taste. I liked how they took care of little details such as preparing small plastic spoons for their yogurts. Although the price wasn't cheap for me as a traveling student, but it is probably because I booked the room a day before my stay. In general, I really enjoyed staying at this hotel.”

“We only stayed at The Shard for one night as part of my 65th birthday and retirement celebration. From the moment we entered the room it was breath-taking. The view (41st floor) was truly amazing, even when it was raining in the morning. Dinner in the restaurant was of Masterchef standard i.e. exquisite. The staff made us feel like royalty. They were courteous respectful and cheerful from front of house staff through to housekeepers and waiters. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The room itself was wonderful with every conceivable modern convenience and service. There was even cable internet for those without Wi Fi. We would surely recommend the Shard to anyone thinking of staying at a truly five star hotel in London.”

The only problem is that sometimes the card key have problem, but the receptionist could sort it out quickly. The location is very good, almost perfect. It's near to Hyde Park, near two tube station Queensway and Bayswater, and located near lots of foods and groceries. The room is also spacious, well-lit (using touch control lighting) and very clean. “At the west end of London lies the district of Hmmersmith. It is a small district but it has its own charm and tranquility afar from the bustling area of central London. The hotel is modern new and chic best suited for the family and if your on a budget. The staff are very friendly courteous and accomodating specially Victor who helped me with my questions and booking my tours around London. Free breakfast is plentiful and their packaged i cute paper bags. Only thing is the design of toilet and shower which were separate and a bit small. The hotel is 5 mins from Hammersmith station and many shops. All in all my experience is superb at this great hotel. I would recommend this and will definitely come back for more.”

“I know London inside out having lived there for ~20 years, and I would say this hotel is very well-located - just a very short walk from a tube station. (There are many hotels on the west side around South Kensington/Hyde Park, but really this is much more conveniently-located for Central London activities.) Another good thing about this hotel is the fact that, it is modern (many 3-4 stars hotels are have very dated decoration and facilities in London), clean and the staff are friendly and helpful. For the price I paid, this hotel is very outstanding.”

“I booked the Santum Soho as we were out at the thetre and wanted it as a treat from My husband. The location is great, close to so many bars and restaurants and Carnaby Street. Our room was small but normal for a london hotel. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was a wet room. We did not use the roof top bar or the restaurants so can't comment but had a wander in the morning and the roof bar looked like it would have been fun. Minor irritations: no shower cap and it was a waterfall shower so you couldn't just have a wash without washing your hair ( I could have called for one apparently bt a bit late when you are already in the bathroom.) There is no tea and coffee making facilities (as the owner wants people to use the restaurants). I missed my morning cup of tea and didn't fancy spending £3.50 for on downstairs. The TV was on the wall to the side of the bed so if you wanted to watch something you got a crick in the neck. But these are minor and we had a great stay.”

“This is the second time I have stayed at the Hyatt Regency Churchill. It is a luxury hotel and the location is absolutely fantastic. The staff at the hotel are extremely welcoming and seem to go out of their way to do whatever you need, from the doorman to the reception to the Club staff. Really excellent. I booked a Club Room, which I highly recommend. The rooms are fairly standard, but large for UK standards. Well appointed and clean. The location is perfect. It is situated on Portman Square, which is a large park, which gives the impression of space. The hotel is a short walk to Oxford Street from which you can easily access downtown London to the left or towards Marble Arch and Harrods to the right. It is all right there. Nothing is more than a short walk away. The hotel has a small gym (don't forget to turn on the air conditioning, otherwise it gets quite warm) and is quite a happening place. There is a restaurant downstairs that seems always busy and the Churchill Bar on the corner. But if you want to get outside the hotel, there are lots of eating and drinking options that are London favourites. Room Tip: Book a Club room. The Facilities are very English and very enjoyable.”

“The hotel is in an excellent location. It is very close to the Lamberth North tube station and buses. You can walk 10 minutes to the London Eye. Tesco Express and other convenience stores are close by. The room was very nice. The front-office staff was nice. The main problem is that the hotel is very noisy due to the vehicular traffic on the road in front of it. So you should request a quiet room not facing the traffic and on the highest floor possible. The hotel has a bunch of elevators. Another problem is that the cleaning lady can be stingy with the toiletry stuff and free water. We had 4 people. The cleaning lady did not provide enough toiletry stuff, and we had to ask for extra. The first day that we were there she put 4 free water bottles in the fridge. But the next several days she gave us only 2 water bottles. So we have to call every day to get 2 more water bottles. We paid a lot of money for the hotel. So they should not have been so stingy.”

“lovely stay at the Z, great service by the staff during our trip last weekend. able to drop our bags off in the morning before check-in to go round london. free cheese and wine every night between 5-8pm which is always busy and a lovely atmosphere in a boutiquey hotel and dining area. the rooms are small which is expected for a building of its size but more than enough when your visiting london as your out throughout the day and evening. beds were good though. typical modern hotel glass bathroom/shower area but the sink area is small and awkward but good shower. full sky tv in the rooms too with all the channels which is great and free wifi which is added bonuses as most chain hotels charge for wifi and dont have full tv package. air con unit is locked and can only change the temp but our room didnt get cold for the temperature and windows cant be opened so was a bit warm but fine but maybe the unit needed a check/service. would definitely stay here again though as for the price and location and free extras its unbeatable and its only a couple mins walk from traf square so your saving money you would spend on a cheaper hotel further outer london needing to get tube/train into central london. great service by all the staff too!!”

“I have stayed at the Tune Hotel before and this is my go-to London hotel! Located just down the road from King's Cross it's in a perfect location to get anywhere via Underground. The rooms can be quite small but are clean. Compared to the cost of other central London hotels, this place is inexpensive but you get a clean, well-kept room for the minimal price you pay. “this really is one of the best hotels i have stayed in within london, for a long time! i really couldn't fault it! (and we stay in a lot of hotels worldwide!) from the minute we arrived, for the whole weekend, the staff were really friendly and helpful, they couldn't do enough for you (even offering free cheese and wine in the evening!) the room was fairly small (as you would expect in a boutique hotel in london), but was exceptionally comfortable with a huge bed and all mod cons. we loved the modern element of the glass walled shower room that's part of the whole room and the huge flatscreen tv with sky tv! bonus! it is also literally a minutes walk from victoria station and tube and london's museums and buckingham palace are just a short walk through beautiful belgravia... this really is a jewel in victoria's crown and we loved it and will definitely visit again! thank you!”

The biggest call out is the staff - they were very friendly and extremely helpful. They allowed me to leave my bags for a few days while I travelled a bit of Europe, this was greatly appreciated! Thank you guys! The only down side was the check in - after 23hrs of travel and arriving at 8.30 am , the room being available, could not be prioritised for cleaning until 2pm! “I stayed here for one night in late October. I got a bed in a shared room for very cheap, obviously this is ideal if you're a young traveler on a budget wanting to stay in central London! But saving money can come at the expense of your well being...I have a motto of 'you get what you pay for', and I think next time I'll have to spend a little more for the sake of a good nights sleep. In my opinion its false economy if you get a cheap room but the worst night sleep of your life, and thus the next day of your life is spent feeling like sh**. So yeah you saved money, but spent a lot more in terms of stress. The room I stayed in was just awful - a small, long room with very high ceilings, which meant that three triple-story bunk beds were crammed into it. The beds rocked and wobbled like crazy each time I climbed mine, and whenever the sleeper above me moved or climbed up/down, the disturbance was hideous. Someone might as well have been shaking me with their bare hands. The beds were also very small, smaller than a single bed, and cramped. No where to put luggage either. There was no ventilation except for a small fan. It was VERY hot and VERY uncomfortable. Last but not least, the noise from the neighboring room was super loud and intrusive. I know its a cheap hostel in central London, but not everyone chooses to stay in one of these because they're interested in bar crawls! All I could hear almost all night was a hoard of yelling, drunken yobs. After a night of tossing, turning, noise and a quaking bed I spent most of my morning feeling crap, and it showed. Who wants to feel like that when they're having a weekend in the city?? I don't understand why some of these cheap hostels can't have half of the hostel a more peaceful zone, and the other half a party-goers/pub-crawl zone. I don't think it would cost much to do that! The staff at reception were nice. The bathrooms were alright. Just basic, like college toilets. At least they weren't too grubby. Although I will”

“I stayed Saturday and Sunday night, I advice if you plan on going to sleep before 3 am to choose somewhere else on a Saturday night as being on top of a Pub they have raging party's ;) :D That was the only Negative, some extra soundproofing would be nice. Beds were good although I felt my blanket was a bit short :') Power to your bed is great. Only two showers per level but it didn't seem to matter much, a wire box that's lockable in your room is helpful, washing machine and dryer were great although you need your own powder (can buy at desk). Cleaned once a day so unless there is lots of dirty muddy people it's good, breakfast is decent, cerials hot drinks juice toast yogurt cheese and meat, and the food at the bar is amazing. You get discounts on most things aswell. There is a train station 15m from the door which makes it easy to get into London. “It was my first ever time as a backpacker I didn't know what to expect or what to do. When I arrived Angelica was working and she took my details and made me so welcome. She kept an eye out for me and each day (3 days) she would welcome me back from my sightseeing and serve me a nice cold beer with a warm and friendly smile. Beds were clean and so was the bathroom. 25% of breakfast set me up for the day. Yum! You can get a locker for valuables. I felt safe and the other guests were respectful. Early mornings Francesco was working and he was a happy and very helpful individual who made my coffee and answered any queries with a smile. Other bar staff were great too. Overall I would highly recommend that you stay here whilst in London. The Edgeway Road Station is 30 m away and this links into wherever you need to go. London was a fabulous experience for me. “Location is near the London Kings Cross Station so that means plenty of bus stops available nearby. There are also a number of eating places around. However, I felt like there should be more shower stalls available. The floor I was in only had the boys' shower. I had to go down one floor to use the shower and toilet. The USB charging unit above my bunk bed would only let me charge one device at a time. Good think there are options for using wall plugs. I stayed at the four only dorm and on my last night I found myself with three male Asians who snore. I'm not sure if they were put there because we are all Asians (but I'm a girl!) or whatever. “My friend and I stayed for 2 nights in a 6-bed female dorm. It was good, no problems at all, but we think that 6 people in that room felt a little cramped. They had lockers, but one of them had no door, so if the room was full, one person would need to find a way to keep their things secure. The light in the room was too dim. The bed was good though, the linen too. They have towels to rent. The shared bathroom was ok, good shower, but it is a unisex bathroom. I didn't know that. And I never asked because I thought there would be separated restrooms. Well, maybe there are, but there was one right in front of our door, so... It wasn't a problem for us, but it is good to know. There are no lifts, so be aware if you are traveling with big suitcases. The pub underneath the hostel was great. It wasn't noisy, the food was really good. One of the best mac and cheese I ever had! amazing burgers too. The staff was kind and helpful. Actually, you go to the pub counter to check-in and it was fun because it feels like a tavern. For a pint, I recommend the Titanic Stout. Loved it. It was a short, but good stay. If you are traveling on a budget and want to stay very close to an underground and train station, this is the place. London Euston is 5 minutes away. Ah! “Very good value for money being in such a central part of London. Beds are more comfortable than I've had in similar priced hostels. Music heard around the hostel (I think from the bar in the basement) was to my taste - mainly rock and pop punk being played. Showers were better than I initially thought they'd be as there's no temperature control (on the one I used at least) but it was nicely warm. However the shower head was quite low and fixed at that height, so it was a little bit awkward to wash my hair. Breakfast was plentiful, with lots of cereals, bread / toast with a variety of spreads, pancake mix, juice and a coffee machine. “This hotel is a gem. It must be said, the lack of disclosure on it's halal and dry status is a surprise, but it's wonderful in every other way. You may read reviews that the Tube sound is loud, it's not that bad, and it's part of being in London. The design and layout of the hotel, public spaces and rooms is elegant, clever and desirable. We felt it was a haven to escape the noise and bustle of London, filled with elegant surrounds and quirky little touches that made our stay the best of a 2.5 week trip around the UK.”

Every member of staff were incredibly accommodating, professional and friendly, especially Giovanni (front of house) who upgraded us to a riverview suite because there were no suites ready when we first arrived (which was 9am). “I was staying in another hotel during my first 5 days in London, then was off to York for 2N before returning to London for my last 3N, where I was booked at the Principal. I was unsure where best to store a big luggage bag prior to my travel to York as the other hotel's policy did not allow overnight storage . I called up the Principal to get their suggestion and an extremely helpful representative called Hamza offered me to store my luggage there instead, even though I had not checked in. What a big relief that was to me, the various external paid options all came with logistical challenges. When i arrived at the hotel, everyone at the Principal from the doorman to concierge was so professional and helpful that I felt very assured that the luggage would be safe. I enjoyed my stay at the Principal very much. The hotel was magnificent and grand, the room with the vintage decor was superb. There was even a tuck box filled with snacks for the guest! Will def return for a longer stay!”

“Booked a junior suite for 3 travellers. The pull out sofa was perfect for our teenager. The room came with a great patio but as it was winter we were not able to enjoy it. The room came with a nespresso machine, ironing board and the usual amenities. Housekeeping was very responsive, providing frequent towel changes in view of the damp weather at this time of year. The room service menu was excellent and delicious, coming from the Gordon Ramsey restaurant at the hotel. The hotel is located very near the shops at Oxford Street and the subway stop Bond Street. It was also a short walk to a catholic church for the holiday masses and to Hyde Park to enjoy the beautiful landscapes. We really enjoyed our stay.”

“Our best experiences were in the AG restaurant. The food and our server were so enjoyable. We’ve had three soufflés so far on this trip and none have come close to their strawberry soufflé. Our server was a real positive in our dining experience. The older concierge who waited by the door made us feel welcome and comfortable. We arrived an hour early for checkin, having just come from the airport and jet lagged. The younger French man at the desk said he would find us when our room was ready. We had lunch and enjoyed the outside area. We were completely forgotten. My husband checked twice during that time period. It was almost an hour after regular check in time before we were in our room. It wasn’t a great first impression.”

When we asked for theatre tickets, we were helped on the spot; airport pickup and drop off were also provided. Overall, it was spectacular... And the location of the hotel is also marvelous, right at the heart of what's happening and the shopping areas of London.

“Pros: Friendly staff. I came about 11AM and she tried to find the best solution to let me check in earlier. She understand we are tired due to Long flight. Staff at concierge was helpful as well. Location is the best. Buses just 3 mins walk away and it can go to Oxford street (390) and Piccadilly Circus (94). I took Big Bus for convenience and the bus stop is also 3 mins walk away (Bayswater). Sadly, when I was in London the nearest tube, Lancaster Gate station is undergoing construction. It is also 3 mins walk away. London Express/Connect stops at Paddington which is about 8 to 10 mins walk away. Cons: From the corridor to my room has a few steps (about 4 small stairs) which I was not aware and my mum has bad knees. But she said it is ok since it was a rather small stairs. But do take note! It definitely is one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen. London might look unreal on your web browsing but when you are there everything makes sense and the city is complete. Both river sides are beautiful, one more historical and the other is the modern one. It is worth a really long stay. 2 nights were not enough for me. Even those attractions that you might consider overrated worth a visit. Please don't focus only on monuments. Places like Chinatown also deserve your attention and you will be impressed.

There are all sorts of museums and attractions. The Eye lifts you high over the city - Tower and Westminster are great. It is useful to buy a Oyster card and download an app to help you find your way. People are generally polite and friendly. I will certainly come back :)

Full of people everywhere. Beautiful contrasts between old and new. Great public transportation. But weather was dreadful in November and people were not particularly nice, some certainly snobby and arrogant. I observed a lack of facilities for the handicap. Expensive due to a 20% tax and the currency exchange. Metro is expensive as well, but museums are free with voluntary donation. It rained and was cloudy almost every day of my one week stay. I was told best time to go is summer for weather despite the crowds.

Personally, compared to other great cities to visit, including say: New York, San Francisco, Paris, Berlin, Madrid, Rome, Edinburgh, Istanbul, Delhi, Cairo, Cape Town, Bangkok, Hong Kong, Singapore, Edinburgh, Rio, and countless other smaller places, London is a big waste of money.

I would highly recommend tourist who are visiting London and a fan of musical to catch at least one musical in London because it is really worth it. It's a choice that you will never regret. There are a lot of musicals available in London, available about 5 days a week and there are 2 timings in a day (afternoon and evening). The crews there are awesome and really friendly. Though the theatre might be small and cramp but it's really good if you managed to choose the right seat! Also, if you are in London for more than 3 days and if you travel more than twice a day, it's cheaper and more worthwhile to get the 7-days unlimited pass for the Oyster Card! One trip would probably cost you about 3.50 Pounds!

I would be more than happy to stay in London for more than 5 nights, however I have other places to visit. Musicals are available almost every other day. Hence, I would highly recommend tourist who love catching musical back in their own country to at least try one of the musical in London. I'm pretty sure that's a choice you make and will never regret. They have lots of Musical going on every single day as they have so many theatres. Just pick one online, buy the ticket and go. However, beware that the theatre might not be very big and not all views are perfect. You will understand what I mean, once you watch at least one of the musical. :)
