Traveling to France? Find Lourdes hotels

Actually, we were moved to another hotel nearby, Gallia nLondres, didn't know the reason why,, but to our amazement, I think its better than the hotel we booked in, because Gallia n Londres is a 4 star hotel. Amandine Rocques was amazing and very helpfull.and so were the others.was told that we were one of the last to leave before they closed for the season..

This hotel first is probably the best hotel in Lourdes. When you check in there is a bald man at the counter. He is very nice and will make sure everything is ready for you with a French flair. The rooms are clean and modern. The lobby is comfortable with a coffee bar and on the second floor is the restaurant. The hotel is literally right down the street from the Cathedral. It’s charming 2 minutes walk through a shopping and restaurant populated street. The people are nice and always ready to assist. We enjoyed our time at Hotel Astrid.

Love it! just a step away from the Lourdes sanctuary and street shops with variety of restaurant.

The staff at the hotel were very attentive and extremely helpful. No issues with the rooms at all- very clean and comfortable. I would stay here again if we visited the Sanctuary at Lourdes again.

Hi there, I have to thank from bottom of my heart for an excellent service. When we arrived in lourdes we didn't get our bags and the hotel reception staff was extremely helpful. Melanie at the reception called the airport tcouple of times to check abouts our bags, she offered a starter pack in case we didn't get our bags. She even try to locate someone who could bring our bags. Excellent work. Hotel was cklean, meals in the restaurant very good, the bar service was very good. Thanks & Best Regard Anita

This is my second visit and the only reason for choosing this hotel is that it really stands out. Lourdes is a pilgrimage centre and the area around the sanctuary is just flooded with hotels. Among these hotels, a lot of hotels do not stand up to their name, stars or standards. Hotel Padoue is one of the few gems that provide you with clean and spacious rooms with decent facilities. Not only is the location awesome the room size and cleanliness is also outstanding. I have already booked this hotel again for a cousin and his family. The hotel can be a bit pricey and the breakfast may not be that fulfilling for the price to some. Very close to the sanctuary and the stores for religious items.

The best deal, we had in France. Very close to almost all tourist activities, 10 Min to Church of St Bernadette / the Grotto. Quite during the night so you will have good sleep. The bed a bit too soft and small, but in general very good.

It is a 10 minutes walk to the sanctuary, the entrance near The basilica and the grotto. There is stove, microwave oven and refrigerator in the room. The bed and linen is clean, but the bathroom has some left over hairs from the last traveller. Also, the plastic cup provided is stinky. It is quite far from the train station, we asked the hotel to call a taxi for us at 6:00 in the morning to the train station. It took only 5minutes and 12 euro. The reception spend good English and he is helpful. Though one of the light is out of order, he replied us that he ran out of light bulbs so cannot change for us. Moreover, there is a lot of good and cheap restaurant nearby, much better than the other parts of Lourdes!! Definitely will stay again!

I don't think there is any better place than this. Everything is excellent! Perfect location, within walking distance to Lourdes and the train station. And the couple who owns and runs this place are warm and friendly. We felt at home.

I arrived with my family, with my mother in a wheelchair, and immediately the charming girl at the front desk went out to greet us and help us with our luggages. Five stars for their excellent sevice and giving us a bigger room to make my mother more comfortable and five stars for the great rooms with good view and the shortest way to go the church and the grotto! Even our breakfast was really pleasant, just right not extravagant. Would really give this Hotel ten stars if I could!

The location is ideal! It's only 2 minutes walk to the entrance of the Grotto. The hotel is surrounded with shops and resturants. The staff are friendly and helpful. It does not matter that the rooms are small becuase most of the time we were out exploring Lourdes. I will definily retun to this hotel and I will highly recommand it to anyone travelling to Lourdes to consider this hotel.

It was a great surprise to get a very clean hotel for the price we got from Agoda. Very pleased, as it is a five minute walk to the sanctuary . I would highly recommend this place as it is great value for money and it is not always easy to find a clean place like this in Lourdes.

Angela, who checked us in was very friendly and helpful, The room was very nice and the location of the Hotel was perfect if you want peace and quite, The only cons, were the wifi which was almost close to none in the room and some male staff in the front desk we encountered, who I smiled at but never got a reaction. Over-all a good place to stay in when in Lourdes

It was an excellent accomodation with easy access to Lourdes religious sanctuaries. The room was immaculately decorated with comfortable bed, reading area, attached bathroom and tea making facilities. Elisabeth, the owner was a great help as she recommended the itinerary of my stay plus gave tips on travelling to Paris. Trip to the airport was also arranged with reasonable charge. There was a little chapel beside the kitchen and right outside my room was a beautiful view of the Fort and the bustling streets with lots of restaurants.

Had a very short stay in this hotel. Infact I was in Lourdes, for less than 24hours. That was the main reason we took a hotel nearby to the Church. Just 2-3 min walk to the church. Checked in late at night and was well served by the reception staff. Stayed in the family room. Had a great sleep here. Shower + toilet + mattress + pillows + sheets were all SUPERB. Breakfast was awesome, but we were rushing for time and could only spend a short time at the cafe. Once again, was served by a great staff. Would definitely stay here again !! Highly recommended.

The location of the hotel is good, just a few minutes away from the sanctuary of our Lady of Lourdes. Once you go out, there are a lot of restaurants and shops to choose from. Downside though is that the rooms smelled really bad when we got in, we got two rooms and one smelled like dead rat. We reported it immediately though and they got to fix the problem but I can still remember how gross it felt when we first entered. In terms of size though, the rooms are big enough for 2-3 people.

For anyone travelling to Lourdes and would like someone to guide you in English, this is the place to be. We were expecting a room facing the town but unfortunately we had one facing the back. This could probably due to other rooms already being occupied or having paid a lower price on agoda.com, not sure why though! Very warm and friendly hosts and excellent home-made type dinner and dessert! Will surely recommend this place to everyone visiting Lourdes.

We had a pleasant stay. Hotel is within walking distance to the sanctuary and in a good location. Rooms are clean. Friendly and helpful staff at the counter. Will return if we visit Lourdes again.

The hotel was cozy and very clean, has a very nice view of the castle (from my room in the 3rd floor), has a lift/elevator, the sanctuary was about 10-15 minutes away (depends on how fast you walk), there is an aircon in the room and staff was so helpful from answering my questions to assisting me on my ride back to the airport. Highly recommended.

We had a wonderful stay at Mercure and without a doubt, we will be back here again. The staff are very friendly and took pride in their work. It is very near to the grotto and restaurants. A very convenient location.

i only stayed one night in astoria vatican hotel,but i really enjoyed it.. nice view from my room, the location from the grotta is only 10 minutes away walking, and the room is so nice too... definetely stay in this hotel again when i back to lourdes..

Hassle free check-in, especially we came in early morning for a check-in. Although no breakfast booking in advance, the staff are kind to accommodate us with additional booking. Especially Ms Jackie personnaly informed us the room is ready while we were haveing breakfast in the Dinning Room. She even gave us guides in Lourdes. Pantry staff always ensure we have enough food every morning. The Hotel should be given a rating of 9/10 although it is low in room amenities.

Nice little hotel run by a charming couple. They speak very limited English but are always eager to help. Short walk to the sanctuary and just a hop from the train station. The breakfast will keep you going to lunch time. Triple rooms are a bit cramped. Recommended nonetheless.

Staff service was excellent here, polite and helpful reception despite the language barrier, provided useful maps of how to get from the hotel to the attractions. Cleaning staff and bellmen were particularly courteous, always acknowledged us, we gave them a tip which they really appreciated. Breakfast was mediocre, good croissants and great view when dining. Hotel decorated in old style charm, opulent fabrics and furnishings, visually stunning inside. Rooms are large and tastefully renovated, good bathtub, hot/powerful hairdryer. Soaps were fragrant ylang ylang. Bathrobes provided! Free WiFi internet and carparking. Would stay here again to visit Lourdes, staff made our visit very comfortable. Allowed us to leave the car there for several hours after our 12pm checkout so we could sightsee.

My mom and I stayed overnight( 26Sep-27Sep) in this hotel, given the chance to visit Lourdes again, I will still opt to stay at Hotel Etienne due to the following reasons. The rate which is very affordable. The location is just perfect, as it is just a walking distance from the hotel to the sanctuary and souvenir shops and dining establishments, which is very favorable for my mother who has difficulty in walking as she is elderly already. The staff are helpful. The room is pretty and very tidy, we had a restful night. The bathroom is very spacious and clean though not very elderly-friendly as the bathtub is a challenge to use as it is kind of high. To sum it all, the hotel is worth going back for.

Overall for a small town, the Best Western seems like a good option for travelers to Lourdes. The hotel is more boutique in nature with limited staffing / infrasturcture. For example, the phone lines are not activated in the rooms (need to ask for this) and there isn't 24 hour reception service, so you seem to be on your own after hours. That said, the rooms seem very clean, even if they're very dated in style, and the bathrooms have modern amenities, even if they're also dated in style. Also the rooms appear to be on the small side. I have not evaluated other hotels in Lourdes, but the Best Western seems nicely separated from the more over developed and hetic area of hotel clusters on the other side of the Grotto area. Finally, the restaurant at the BW has a good menu and serves good food, even if the decoration is also dated.

If you want a hotel in Lourdes that is close to the Sanctuary/Grotto, that is inexpensive and can give you the comfort you want, then book at Hotel Roissy!
