I planned a day out at Woburn Safari Park and needed somewhere to stay, this was a quick booking because it was close the venue. As it is located in a service station my expectations were not high but on arrival I was very pleasantly surprised that it is just off the service station and a very nice hotel. At the check in the service was very good and the room was very clean and tidy. The food was good and at a reasonable price and the whole experience was very pleasant so I will be returning on my next visit to the area.

We spent a very enjoyable two days at the Senior Masters Golf held at Woburn from the 4th-6th September. This hotel was ideally situated as it was only a short drive from the course. Our room was in the annexe and was small with just enough room to walk around the bed. However, it was very nicely appointed and, by the look of it, had been refurbished recently. Our room faced the main road and there was quite a lot of traffic noise but this ceased at a reasonable hour. The weather during our stay was lovely but if it had been raining it would have been a nuisance crossing from the annexe to the main building. The food in the restaurant was excellent - we had dinner there on our first night and thoroughly enjoyed it, although we thought it slightly expensive. Breakfast too was very good and set us up for the day. All the staff were very pleasant and helpful. We would certainly stay there again but perhaps have a larger room.

Quaint hotel on the Milton Keynes Canals. Very pretty surrounds and ample parking. Hotel is a little dated, but clean and extremely comfortable. You get a great nights sleep as the location is quiet. Staff were helpful and breakfast at the restaurant was good. No air conditioner only a fan.

Was in Milton Keynes visiting a friend and needed somewhere cheap and convenient to stay overnight. Room was spacious and functional and the hotel has a surprisingly nice bar. Check in was fine but no offer from staff to help with our quite substantial luggage.

There are better hotels in Milton Keynes but its location suits me down to the ground, car parking is never an issue and its surprisingly quiet. restaurant is ok, staff are very friendly and although its a little dated its is very comfortable and works well enough that I keep returning

Could have been much better if our room was serviced. Also the toilet roll holder was almost over the toilet bowl making use difficult. We were not advised to book a table for dinner so had to wait 40 minutes for a table for dinner. The name on the bill board was Broughton Hotel and not Best Western, Milton Keynes.

Very convenient for the busines traveller as close to J14 on the M1 and also close to Milton Keynes. Would be suitbale for people wanting to staop over and enjoy Mk shopping or concerts / performances. Nothing majorly stands out wiht the hotel but it did the job for what I needed ie a simple quiet 1 night stop over.

Loved the age of the hotel with the crooked floors and tiny corridors, much nicer than these modern type motels and inns. .

The hotel is set in large grounds and looks as though it was once a grand house. It is approached down a private driveway and car parking is ample. The village of Woughton on the Green (pronounced wufton)is pretty with some thatched properties. On entering through the large front door, you find yourself in a large lounge/bar area. Food is served throughout the day in this area from the bar menu. 'The Lanes' restaurant has a more formal atmosphere and is used for lunches and dinner. SOme members of my family are 'dairy free' due to allergies but this was not a problem to the restaurant chef despite having no warning! Breakfast is also served here for residents and those who wish to use it for breakfast meetings. The bed rooms are ample in size with a double bed, chairs, table and TV. Tea and coffee making facilities are included. The rooms we used were in need of some TLC but overall were of an acceptable standard for the price. All of the staff are very friendly and helpful from the reception, bar and restaurant. During our stay the singer was staying and apparently the hotel is no stranger to celebrity. You never know who you may spot during your visit!

Stayed for my daughters wedding in Milton Keynes. Holiday Inn was a perfect place for 3 days, conveniently located for the places we needed to be. Staff were all cheerful and helpful. Thank you

The reception staff both on checking in and checking out was so welcoming and professional, one of the best receptions I have been to. The room was clean spacious and comfortable, clean fluffy sheets and pillows, had a perfect sleep. The hotel grounds are spacious and have a harvester on the premises. My hotel price included the breakfast, which was nice and filling, scrambled egg, bacon, sausage and rolls, fruit, yoghurt, fruit compote, drinks. but if you want a vegetarian option and fried or poached eggs or a more posh breakfast, then simply cross over to the harvester. The hotel bar was comfortable and nice hotel grounds outside. Definitely recommended. Also for your evening meal.....harvester on the premises.

An excellent value for money b&b - warm, clean & tidy in a quiet country village convenient for Claydon, Waddesdon Manor & Milton Leynes. Very comfortable bed & friendly welcome!

This hotel is good value for money. It is located close to the Open University so if you are in Milton Keynes for that purpose then it's great. Otherwise it's a bit out of town but it's not too much of a problem. Friendly staff good food. Recommended

Overall it's a very nice hotel , however for us it was I little to far from the city centre (we had no car, as we had booked a city apartment that was cancelled)

we booked 2 nights here as we were going to see a concern at the bowl. we arrived after a 4 hour drive and were welcomed with a tasty double tree cookie which i though was a nice touch! our room was beautiful, with a novel view looking out on to the mk dons pitch. the highlight of my stay was the unbelievably comfortable bed, i didn't want to get up! breakfast was great. the staff were excellent. i really can't fault this hotel, it had everything we needed and was so comfortable. we plan on staying here again next time we're in milton keynes.

The Hotel was nice enough, I would stay again. Staff helpful and rooms really big with lots of space Good showers All in all not a bad place to stay

We were put in an executive room ( which is what i had booked and paid for) which was nice and big and just what we were expecting. the stay had been pleasant. The restaurant was busy with conference delegates, but was good for people watching. There is no room service in the hotel. Only book an executive double if you are looking for a relaxing stay that is a treat. Be prepared to carry your luggage for miles, the hotel is a bit of a maze. Play pitch and put using the complimentary golf clubs available from reception and leave time to wander round the huge and quiet ( during a mid week stay) grounds

the place is convenient for those who are taking short courses in the same center. nothing else to do within campus. gym is very small but i have not seen more than 3 there at the same time. breakfast is just ok. lunch at the courses side is also fine. nothing to do on the weekends. stay away

Having undergone a recent refurbishment the Cock Hotel is now a wonderful blend of modern comforts within an important historic building with much charm and character. The hotel has been tastefully redecorated and refurbished to a high standard and we found our brief stay there thoroughly enjoyable. The only slight problem was that the room window opening onto a noisy courtyard and service areas made for a somewhat disturbed sleep. But generally we loved every minute of our stay at the Cock and would happily recommend its charms to others.

Mike and Sue are perfect hosts, there if you want them. The White House has large rooms and at least 400 thread count sheets! Very, very nice.

Unable to use the customer car park as it was full (staff cars??) so had to park on main road and risk a ticket. Bathroom was clean, but no shelf above sink for toileteries, so had to place these on the floor. Loo roll holder missing from wall, so loo roll plonked on top of cystern. No bedside lamp. Noise from street. Food appeared to be microwaved from frozen. Basically it was a pub with rooms. Suitable for an overnight business stay but wouldn't recommend for a longer period. Staff were pleasant and helpful.

Centre MK has all you need and this cosy and light apartment is right in the middle of it. Very clean and all the facilities you need. Feels like a home. Staff was very kind and understand hospitality. Love to be back!

We had a great time at the Hub apartments. It was central to everywhere, well equipped and even came with a dedicated parking spot ... The apartment was bright and airy (although a little hot) with a full kitchen and all the entertainment systems you need. The wifi internet was a great bonus

I arrived later than the normal check in time which did not seem a problem which was good. I was shown to my room which was a superior double room, the standard of he room and facilities were excellent. I was shown around the room and various facilities were pointed out to me as well as how to operate the roof light blinds. I needed to check out early in the morning so my breakfast was made earlier to accommodate. The only negatives I could point out is that it lacks atmosphere. There is a lounge area which was closed and there is no bar to have a drink or socialise. Secondly, the room was very warm due to the large amount of glass. Although it is a nice feature of the room, when the weather is warm you have a greenhouse effect unless the blinds are permanently closed. It could do with air conditioning. Overall, very nice lodge and good service. Ideal if you want a quiet stay.
