“This is my first visit to Nagoya. Glad that I choose this hotel as it seems new and modern. Everything is perfect.. Location just 5 mins stroll to station, surounded by shopping, lots of shopping ( I was surprised!) Both branded and non branded. Many eateries too but MUST try their local Unagi rice and the famous one( Maruya Honten Meiekiten) located in a mall which is just 5 mins walk from hotel.. Of course good stuff need to queue but really worth it! We ate there twice during my 2 nights stay.. That's how good it is!! We aren't Unagi's fan but definitely must eat in Nagoya. My only issue with the hotel is the rubbish bin in toilet is too small, so maybe can look into it this small matter. Other than that.. I will be back again when I visit Nagoya.”

“+: This is a 3-star hotel with 5-star like service and facilities. It is arguably the best hotel I've stayed in during my trip to Japan (we went to 5 different cities.) Check-in and out was smooth (check-in @ 3:00 PM/ 15:00) Rooms were spacious for Japan, as most hotel rooms are generally small. We booked one room with 2 double beds, the beds were a bit on the hard side but pillows were comfy. There's a large flat screen tv, with modern wood countertops, two armchairs and coffee table. Kettle to boil water and drinking glasses are provided. Free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel. The bathrooms were very nice and well appointed with new and modern appliances (if you want to experience Japanese toilets, this hotel has the Rolls-Royce of toilet; gotta see it to believe it.) Separate rooms for the toilet and the powder & shower room with plenty of towels both small and large bath towels, toothbrush kit, hair dryer, body soap, shampoo, and conditioner, hand/ face wash combo provided. - : None.”

“The room was a surprise as we expected a small room which is normal in Japan but wow. Layout was well thought out, as the bedroom is separated with the entrance / bathroom area, where the shower, toilet, and sink are all separated as well. Great idea. Bedroom itself is huge, the size of a normal room inclusive of bathroom at other hotels. Clean as its a fairly new hotel, free shuttle to Nagoya station in the morning, free Ramen late night, its own spa / small hot spring. Positives goes on and on. Amenities are basic but that's what the franchise is about, so it will never be a four star hotel but it is probably the best three star hotel you will stay at, given the location is only one station from nagoya station by subway. All in all this will be my only choice in nagoya and look forward to trying their other premium locations, saw that they just opened one in Seoul.”

“I happened to find this hotel when I was trying to book Marriott. Since we were just going to make a brief stop in Nagoya before going to Mie, we finally booked this one because it is cheaper than Marriott. It turned out to be a good choice. Everything in the hotel is brand new. The room is slightly bigger than those regular business hotel rooms, with not only a bed, and a table, but also a small soft bench by the window from where you can see the fantastic view over Nagoya. The bathroom is spacious too (I really hate unit bath :P). The hotel is directly connected to the Nagoya JR station, on the 15/F of the JR Gate Tower. There is a couple of convenient stores and a Starbucks outside the hotel entrance. The building has express lifts taking you from the hotel to the restaurant levels directly. If you don't feel well, there is also a pharmacy and a clinic (maybe more than one) in the building too. As a business hotel, there are not many facilities to expect. But I did spot a small fitness room in the next to the reception. Overall, this is a perfect stay with good value for money.”

“We went to Legoland solely because our 6 year old son loves lego, so it was our first stop for the Nagoya trip. We went to the hotel straight from the airport by bus and it was very convenient. We got dropped off right in front of the hotel. We took the train to get into town though the next day and it was a fair walk to the station from the hotel. If you travel light without big luggage then it should be fine. Check in was straight forward. We got our key card within minutes. It's more of a help yourself type of hotel though, unlike Disney hotels where there would be hotel staff escorting you to your rooms, carrying your luggage for you, etc. The elevators were brilliant. You feel like dancing every time you step into one. We had a great laugh recording our boy dancing to the disco music. Breakfast was included and the variety of food was good. We went during the busiest time of the year and the restaurant was crowded in the morning, but they never ran out of food. Overall 8/10”

“This is the first time I choose Daiwa Roynet hotel in Nagoya because of my friend's recommedation. Actually I did not feel satisfied when I stay here. I found accidentally that there are molds in the air outlet and bathroom though it looked clean in general. And I wonder the air purifier was cleaned regularly. The staff are very friendly and willing to help. The location is excellent and there are several convenience stores nearby and close to the Nagoya station (connected by the ESCA, underground pedestrian shopping mall).”

“If you are looking for a budget on a very reasonable room rate hotel in Nagoya,Japan, the best place to recommend is Meitetsu Inn Nagoya. A typical Japanese room, very clean and bed sheet and towels are all brand new. Very accessible to train station for about 7 minutes and a 10 minutes walk to Central Nagoya station where you will find central bus and train stations and big malls.”

“If you don't have a car and would like to travel by public transport within Nagoya, this hotel is the best choice! The hotel is located just above the most central station in Nagoya (i.e. Nagoya station!). From airport there is an airport express (called Mu sky) taking you directly to Nagoya station in 25-30min. No other way of transport, not even taxi, can beat this. Then the hotel is right above the station. The train station is the biggest I've ever seen. I've lived in London and HK before and never seen such scale. For surroundings you can just get the subway or taxi, for further you can take the JR train, for far like another city, you can take shinkansen which is also there. even you don't want to travel anywhere, the station itself is actually full of shops and restaurants. there are so many to choose from you don't even need to leave the building. and also if you go up the tower above the station, there are nicer restaurants and even fine dinnings. Just across the street, there is also an underground shopping street. Such well thought development and big scale infrastructure has made this place the most convenient place in the world. I still have not mentioned that the hotel itself is very nice. Staffs service is extremely good. if your room includes breakfast, you can actually choose to have it in your room too, which so many hotels no longer do anymore!”

“The hotel itself was fine and staff were very nice, The price included clean pajamas which got changes as well as the bed linings every day. The price also included breakfast. The location is within the walking distance to many central attractions of Nagoya, also very easy to find places to eat. The only thing stood out was the rubbish on the pavement outside of hotel (nothing to do with the hotel). Japan being such a clean country, it was unusual to see any litter normally, but for the 2 days we stayed in this hotel, the street where the hotel was covered by a lot of litter, which was a shame. For that reason, we can not give it a 5 star for location.”

Unbelievably low priced at 1 thousand yen which is about ten US dollars, I stayed about an hour just enjoying the meal. 4. Fantastic personal AC, friendly staff, everything brand new. “I stayed here for a weekend in June. It was my first time visiting Japan so I didn't know what to expect but I was pleasantly surprised. Hilton Nagoya was the perfect hotel for me during my stay in Nagoya. I got a great deal on agoda and got a great price on an executive room. I stayed on the 26th floor and as an executive floor bonus, I got free wifi in my room and free breakfast each day. They also offered tea service and dinner drinks and snacks. All the food was great. Also they offered a free shuttle from the hotel to Nagoya station and Nagoya castle (on the weekends). A bus to the airport also stops right in front of the hotel so it was easy to get to the airport.”

“The hotel is easy to find. From the Sakae station you go to exit no.13 and walk from the station about 5 minutes. And due to the Sakae station is a big station.there are a lot of exit and connect to the shopping mall. You can use their elevator to go to the ground floor. But if you are check out early in the morning. It might be trouble if you have a big luggage cause the shopping mall is not open yet. You have to bring luggage down by stair. There are club around the hotel. But it safe. I stay with my sister and nobody disturb you. The bed is bigger than the the other hotel in Japan that I ever seen. Staff is very nice. It worth to stay here. If I go to Nagoya I will stay there again.”

“I spent a weeknd in Nagoya and stayed at Royal Park Hotel. The location of the hotel is in 5 mins walk to Nagoya Station, and just 3 mins from Midland Island (a high-end shoppig and dinning place, Dean Deluca is there). Also, there are hundreds of shops to satisfy all kinds of visitors. By the way, I paid a bit more to stay on Premium floor, and it's worthy! The size of the room is bigger than the average business hotesl in Japan, and free drinks at restaurant. The breakfast is as good as most people posted online, very healthy and delicated foods to energise youself in the morining. I'd definitely stay at this hotel if I go to Nagoya again.”

“This hotel was such a great last minute find for us staying in Nagoya the night before our flight. We were very pleased with our overall stay. The room was compact but plenty of space for us and a very comfortable bed and shower. It was quiet at night and AC worked well! Location was good with close proximity to good eats and shopping; a bit of a walk from the Nagoya Station, but we anticipated that! Bathroom was very clean and toiletries provided. Note: could be beneficial to have a shelf or more counter space in the bathroom! We also enjoyed stepping out on the porch from our room and taking in the view of the park across the street. Breakfast provided (paid for in booking) was good enough. Super awesome atmosphere downstairs to read some books and enjoy coffee from the cafe. Staff was helpful but one particular gentlemen seemed a bit standoff-ish and unfriendly to foreigners like ourselves, but could have been a bad day or two. Overall, great stay and good price! We recommend.”

“Very cheap for all facilities offer, big toilet compared to other hotels in japanese, modern facililities including free buddy mobile with internet access. Breakfast offer wide selection including nagoya famous dishes such as unagi, tepura maki, tongkatsu. Mattress is very comfortable. Pillows have both hard and soft types. Free DHC skincare set and bath salt for women. It is a perfect hotel, eventhough a little bit far from nagoya station when you depart for chubu airport, but it is ok if arriving by shinkansen as the hotel is at the shinkansen exit side of nagoya station.”

“We had a very pleasant stay in this hotel. Aonami line can get to the hotel without getting out the skywalk, convenient. If you are familiar with the road, walk to Nagoya Station will only takes you like 10minutes around. It’s a new neighbor and close to Aichi University, a young and vivid area with new hub and restaurant. Hotel receptionists are all with good attitude, even helped me to book restaurant. Facilities are brand new since this is a newly opened hotel on December 2017. Willing to stay in this hotel again and hope the price rate will be the same. It’s very lucky and wise that we didn’t choose to stay at Mitsu Garden Hotel which we had a short stay in Kyoto in Mitsu, small and old facilities.”

“Pro. Great Location in Sakae area, the closest exit of the subway is the Exit #2. It located opposite Don Quijote, so you can enjoy shopping all night. The hotel looks new and clean. There is a coffee shop and Family mart on the ground floor. Con. - Exit#2 does not have an elevator, so if you have a huge luggage the nearest elevator is Exit#8. - However, you can ask a staff to call a cab. Taxi from the hotel to Nagoya Station costs about 1200-1500 yen. - Be aware, if you don't know Japanese and trust Google navigation, you might end up at UNIZO INN Nagoya Sakae Higachi, which is about 15 minute away from this hotel. - Small room, standard business hotel room, therefore, do not expect it as a 5 stars hotel.”

“One of the best in location when staying in Nagoya. Staff members are very friendly, and quite a number can speak English. Value-wise, the rates are very reasonable at the time I stayed there. Accessibility may be a concern though especially for travellers who bring huge luggages, as you have to take an escalator going up to the hotel's front desk entrance. Other than that, there is nothing much to complain about. I will definitely book here on my next trip to Nagoya.”

“We checked in on 3 May. Golden week in Japan so not really value for money. It was a night in transit from Takayama to Kyoto. A surprise upon arrival : it was a big room, twin queen size bed, not twin single size bed. Plenty of space to put your luggage in the room. The hotel has a small onsen / public bath. The location is great : 2 stops away from the JR station, right next to the Osu Kannon district and its shopping streets. After 10 days in Japan, we felt like Western food for a change and came upon one of the best Italian restaurant we ever dined in : Cesari. The service was relatively slow but the food was divine, and great atmosphere. Little interaction with the staff but checking in and out.”

“Have stayed in this hotel from 27th July to 1 August 2014. Upon check in, staff was very friendly and efficient. Room was okay but when one extra bed was put in a twin room, we hardly have space to walk around especially with our 3 big luggage. However, the main concern was the centralised aircon was not good enough for the summer stay. When complain to the reception staff, the lady followed to the room and asked us to feel the weak "cool" air coming out from the aircon compartment. After informing a few times that that "cool" air was not good enough, the lady offered us a fan instead. Really feel disappointed in this. Otherwise, the location was good. It is in Sakae area, near to the MRT exit 12. As my mother could not go down the stairs to the MRT station, we were walking towards OASIS 21 directions to catch the MRT train. OASIS 21 has proper lift and escalator, great for elderly person. Convenient stores: Lawson, 7-11, family mart were just nearby. Easy to buy drinking water and normal daily staff. Airport transfer bus is just next to Tokyu hotel, a hotel next to best western nagoya hotel. This costs 1000 yen per pax for the transfer to Nagoya International airport.”

“The hotel is just diagonally opposite the Meitetsu Department store. Exit the depratment store from level 1 and look for the spiral buiding. The hotel is just nearby. The room was clean and well-equipped. I booked the cormorant fishing on the Kiso river in Inuyama through the hotel. The staff helped me print out the map and gave me clear directions on how to get there from Nagoya. There are coin-operated washing machines on level 6 and there are 2 eateries and a Lawson just below the hotel. There is also a 100yen shop and a drugstore opposite the hotel.”

“This is the first time we visit Nagoya and also first time stay at the hostel. We reserved a family room, a very spacious and clean room with 4 beds, toilet, shower room, kitchen, dining table and washing machine. Love the modern and hommy interior as well. All staffs are really helpful. Location ok, walking distance from Osu Kanon Station and in residential area. Only one station from Fushimi station if you want to visit city science museum and city art museum. But one thing, they don't have elevator and the family room is on the third floor. So if you bring suitcases, get ready to bring them upstairs. But I understand this is hostel, you should bring backpacks instead of suitcases.. Overall I'm so happy staying at 300 Hostel Osu Kanon..”

“Went here to attend a concert in Nagoya. it was a last minute booking some of us weren't going to the con and thus want to rest at this hostel. but since the booking was under my name, we contacted them and they helped us. the location is kinda far from the station and kinda tricky to find but the hostel was very clean, even the shared bathrooms you can meet new people also there during breakfast. overall it was a nice experience ^^ planning to book this hotel soon”

“Given that most holiday-makers who stay in Nagoya are likely doing so as a base for day-trips, this hostel is not too bad. It's dirt cheap, close enough to Nagoya station and downtown, and has working showering facilities. A very low-key place to rest your head for the night. However, before staying here there are a few concessions prospective occupants may appreciate to know that they may need to make. The building itself is very old with floorboards that creak whichever way that you step on them. Initially I was concerned that my foot may go through one. The bunk beds appear to be made of a material slightly more solid than balsa wood, and again falling through mine was another of my concerns. That and the fact that if a fire were to accidentally start in the building in the middle of the night, we would surely all die thanks to the combination of its layout and rickety wooden interior (I should point out that I did see a fire extinguisher, so I would assume the building complies with Japanese safety regulations). This would seem an unreasonable concern if it were not for the seemingly perpetual chain-smoking of the youths who appeared to be running the joint. In regards to the owners, their interactions with me and that which I observed with other guests was rather inhospitable, bordering on contemptuous. I cannot understand why as it surely my board which is funding their beanie collections. They did speak Japanese pretty impressively though (they are Australians), so that's a clear advantage for the local traveller. Would I stay here again? Yes, but mainly for the milestone experience of staying in a terrible backpackers hostel.”

“Actually it was my first visit nagoya. Just i wanted take a rest from my daily life, so i choosed this city because it was most cheapest flight ticket at that moment ;) And everything was perfact to me after checked in to this hostel. Its only 5mins by walk from Nagoya stn. Bed and showerroom, Kitchen and all of facility clean and comfortable. They has a cafe at 1F. And i think this place is one of best cafe in whole japan. Every time can make a new friend and all of staff was reslly kindly and lovely. (Especially thks to Ai, Nana, Yoshi, Tomo, and Manager san) Nagoya city was so lovely and made me excited. Food is great. People was very kindly as well. Location also perfact for the traveling 'Kansai' area. I wanna come back to nagoya already.haha I definitely recomendation "Glocal hostel nagoya" for the all of backpackers. I hope see you guys again asap. “I stayed for 3 nights, it was completely average and fine. I had literally no memorable experiences here-particularly good or bad. The room is small but clean, everything worked in the room, it was quiet, smelled ok, and had all the normal hotel amenities. The staff were helpful, but I don't know about their English level-we chatted in Japanese. The breakfast was totally forgettable-boiled eggs, bread, coffee, what more do you need. The street was well-lit and safe. I think the best thing about this hotel is its' location-close to two different stations, and it is down the block from one of the best Thai restaurants that I have ever been to in Japan-called "Pakuchi" maybe.”

“10mins from Nagoya Station Taiko Exit(West Exit) through 4 crossloads. Convenience stores are little far form hostel but some on station route. some (snack)bars in close. Little noisy cause close by main street. if you are sensitive, i'll not recommend. Hostel has 2nd floor and 3rd floor Without elevator, and all Smoking Area. Watch out. 3 toilets in whole Hostel, and 2 of them in 2nd floor are squat, the other in 3rd is not. no urinal. 1 laundry machine and 3 shower booths in 2nd floor - little cold on mid of april - but no laundry dryer. each floor has public refrigerator, microwave oven, electric kettle, mini oven, sink and some seats in public area. All rooms are for 1 person. Few outlet so power strip recommended. 2nd floor rooms are wide and have private refrigerator, TV but 3rd are not. no room cleanning during stay, and a shower towel and a tooth brush set are provided 1 by 1 night when you check-in check-out is 9am.”

“Good central location, a 15 minute walk from Nagoya station, 20 minute walk to the castle. Everyone there was nice including staff and guests. The guests consisted of a mix of Japanese and foreign travelers, quiet to friendly. Convenient 100 yen snacks available in the kitchen. Only complaint is not enough space for luggage. Those who have more luggage staying in a pod style room, especially those with top pods, will not have much space to rummage through their luggage. But otherwise, I really recommend it for the value. Very comfortable, clean, well designed pod boxes.”

“Yes, for those complaining about the late check-in (5-11PM only) and early check-out (9AM), no food services, smoking area every floor, shower schedules, etc, be informed that this is basically a salaryman's budget hostel and as such caters to their needs first of all rather than those of leisure travelers. For the price, (especially for walk-ins at only 1500yen/night versus around 2300yen here in Agoda) this is an exceptional deal being close to Nagoya Station. (10-min walk) You get your own private room with centralized AC, fan, TV, 1 set of towel, toothbrush/toothpaste and slippers per night of stay. There's a vending machine at the reception area but if that's not enough, you can just walk outside and you'd see one in just every corner plus a convenience store a 5-min walk away in every direction. Overall satisfied and will stay here again if I'm back in Nagoya.”

“Stayed 4 nights during April. Everything is great. The location just 2 blocks from TV tower and few minutes walk to Subway. Check-in is at 15.00. Be sure to plan your day around this. You can leave your luggage at the hotel and go sightseeing. Breakfast is Japanese style. During my stay, everyday is the same. Steamed Fish, Tofu, Miso Soup and Rice. But It is delicious. There is a coffee machine in front of the elevator, tastes good too. Wifi works well. The hotel also provides Handy, a FREE smart phone witn unlimited calls and internet. You can use as a mobile hotspot. Amazing offer!! BTW, this area is party district (red-light), a lot of people during evening. The hotel has also hot spring/spa. Tips: - You can find the Tourist info center at Oasis on the ground floor, where you can buy 1 day pass for Bus and Subway (600 yen). - Shopping: Don quixote is nearby and opens 24h”

“My wife and I really enjoyed staying at this hotel. It was only several blocks from Nagoya Station. Contrary to how some literature describe the area, this "back" side of Nagoya Station is easy to navigate, clean, quiet and safe. OASIS 21 has proper lift and escalator, great for elderly person. Convenient stores: Lawson, 7-11, family mart were just nearby. Easy to buy drinking water and normal daily staff. Airport transfer bus is just next to Tokyu hotel, a hotel next to best western nagoya hotel. This costs 1000 yen per pax for the transfer to Nagoya International airport.”

“The hotel itself was fine and staff were very nice, The price included clean pajamas which got changes as well as the bed linings every day. The price also included breakfast. The location is within the walking distance to many central attractions of Nagoya, also very easy to find places to eat. The only thing stood out was the rubbish on the pavement outside of hotel (nothing to do with the hotel). Japan being such a clean country, it was unusual to see any litter normally, but for the 2 days we stayed in this hotel, the street where the hotel was covered by a lot of litter, which was a shame. For that reason, we can not give it a 5 star for location.”

“One of the best in location when staying in Nagoya. Staff members are very friendly, and quite a number can speak English. Value-wise, the rates are very reasonable at the time I stayed there. Accessibility may be a concern though especially for travellers who bring huge luggages, as you have to take an escalator going up to the hotel's front desk entrance. Other than that, there is nothing much to complain about. I will definitely book here on my next trip to Nagoya.”

“The hotel room as usual.. small but it was to be expected. This is Japan for goodness sake and for the price. It was great. Toilet is right out of the room and the shower room was at the basement of the hotel which may sound weird for some people but it was fine with me. There a TV in the room if want to watch but one bad thing was it was located pretty far away from the Nagoya Station (15 minutes walk). It took me sometime to find this place. Price was decent for a private room and so I got no complains about the hotel. Service wise. Accessibility and rules were explained when I checked in and luckily a paper memo was passed to me as I had some problems trying to catch what they were trying to explain to me. There were a couple of conbinis around the hotel if you need anything at night. Overall. It was a nice 2 nights stay in that hotel.”

But it looks like a common design for hotels in Japan. - I was staying in a twin room. For a solo traveller it's ok, but seems too small for 2 people or couple.”

“Location wise is great, its just beside the nagoya station. Exit from Sakura-dori exit where the Golden Clock is, then turn to your left. Walk along the sideway beside Nagoya station until you see a Shell Petrol station, turn left again on the road right before the petrol station. You will see the hotel in around 50 meters. Its located on the 3rd floor of the shoplots. Its small and easily missed. The stay was pleasant. Compact, but just nice for a person the spend a night or two. Bathing equipments are given, coffee, magazines and comics are free to use. The staffs are good, but speaks little english.”

“THE BAD: The rooms are quite small and can be challenging for taller and heftier people with big luggages. The room when we arrived needed some more cleaning. Then I pried open the room air filter and found it too dusty and probably not cleaned for a long time. THE GOOD: The staff were friendly and responsive. Bath towels and toiletries/supplies were changed and replenished daily. Bus and train station are a few minutes walk from the hotel. Plus it’s good to know there is a nearby cheap beef bowl restaurant called Matsuya and convenience stores.”

Staff helped organise a safe place to keep the bike, and helped get me in my room a bit early. I've been to Nagoya several times, and would have no problem staying here again.”

A great breakfast buffet. We're talking hotcakes, soft omelettes, variety of coffees, teas, vitamin drinks, fresh croissants, and Japanese options such as tofu, miso soup, and so on, in a lovely dining space that is very clean, and actually has two staff members waiting on you. Unbelievably low priced at 1 thousand yen which is about ten US dollars, I stayed about an hour just enjoying the meal. 4. Fantastic personal AC, friendly staff, everything brand new. Just go there!!”

“If you don't have a car and would like to travel by public transport within Nagoya, this hotel is the best choice! The hotel is located just above the most central station in Nagoya (i.e. Nagoya station!). From airport there is an airport express (called Mu sky) taking you directly to Nagoya station in 25-30min. No other way of transport, not even taxi, can beat this. Then the hotel is right above the station. The train station is the biggest I've ever seen. I've lived in London and HK before and never seen such scale. For surroundings you can just get the subway or taxi, for further you can take the JR train, for far like another city, you can take shinkansen which is also there. even you don't want to travel anywhere, the station itself is actually full of shops and restaurants. there are so many to choose from you don't even need to leave the building. and also if you go up the tower above the station, there are nicer restaurants and even fine dinnings. Just across the street, there is also an underground shopping street. Such well thought development and big scale infrastructure has made this place the most convenient place in the world. I still have not mentioned that the hotel itself is very nice. Staffs service is extremely good. if your room includes breakfast, you can actually choose to have it in your room too, which so many hotels no longer do anymore!”

“I stayed here for a weekend in June. It was my first time visiting Japan so I didn't know what to expect but I was pleasantly surprised. Hilton Nagoya was the perfect hotel for me during my stay in Nagoya. I got a great deal on agoda and got a great price on an executive room. I stayed on the 26th floor and as an executive floor bonus, I got free wifi in my room and free breakfast each day. They also offered tea service and dinner drinks and snacks. All the food was great. Also they offered a free shuttle from the hotel to Nagoya station and Nagoya castle (on the weekends). A bus to the airport also stops right in front of the hotel so it was easy to get to the airport.”

“We really enjoyed our stay here. Rooms facing Nagoya-jo have a marvelous view of the castle and surrounding wall and moat. Rooms on the other side look out on to the downtown skyline and the distant mountains. The rooms were quite spacious (especially by Japanese standards), clean, bright and comfy. Even the complimentary coffee was good. The location has its pros and cons, but mostly pros for us. The castle is quite stunning, and a good place to spend an hour or so and there was a good restaurant or two along its northwest perimeter (beyond the moat of course). But other than that, we did not find much else in the area. Not a big a deal though. Free shuttle buses between Nagoya station (to and from every hour), and several subway stations in easy walking distance make seeing the city easy. Getting to Inuyama was a snap from the hotel by subway/train and was a great half-day side trip. Staff was very kind and helpful. Thank you for a very pleasant stay. Will return someday.”

“The room was a surprise as we expected a small room which is normal in Japan but wow. Layout was well thought out, as the bedroom is separated with the entrance / bathroom area, where the shower, toilet, and sink are all separated as well. Great idea. Bedroom itself is huge, the size of a normal room inclusive of bathroom at other hotels. Clean as its a fairly new hotel, free shuttle to Nagoya station in the morning, free Ramen late night, its own spa / small hot spring. Positives goes on and on. Amenities are basic but that's what the franchise is about, so it will never be a four star hotel but it is probably the best three star hotel you will stay at, given the location is only one station from nagoya station by subway. All in all this will be my only choice in nagoya and look forward to trying their other premium locations, saw that they just opened one in Seoul.”

“I happened to find this hotel when I was trying to book Marriott. Since we were just going to make a brief stop in Nagoya before going to Mie, we finally booked this one because it is cheaper than Marriott. It turned out to be a good choice. Everything in the hotel is brand new. The room is slightly bigger than those regular business hotel rooms, with not only a bed, and a table, but also a small soft bench by the window from where you can see the fantastic view over Nagoya. The bathroom is spacious too (I really hate unit bath :P). The hotel is directly connected to the Nagoya JR station, on the 15/F of the JR Gate Tower. There is a couple of convenient stores and a Starbucks outside the hotel entrance. The building has express lifts taking you from the hotel to the restaurant levels directly. If you don't feel well, there is also a pharmacy and a clinic (maybe more than one) in the building too. As a business hotel, there are not many facilities to expect. But I did spot a small fitness room in the next to the reception. Overall, this is a perfect stay with good value for money.”

“We went to Legoland solely because our 6 year old son loves lego, so it was our first stop for the Nagoya trip. We went to the hotel straight from the airport by bus and it was very convenient. We got dropped off right in front of the hotel. We took the train to get into town though the next day and it was a fair walk to the station from the hotel. If you travel light without big luggage then it should be fine. Check in was straight forward. We got our key card within minutes. It's more of a help yourself type of hotel though, unlike Disney hotels where there would be hotel staff escorting you to your rooms, carrying your luggage for you, etc. The elevators were brilliant. You feel like dancing every time you step into one. We had a great laugh recording our boy dancing to the disco music. Breakfast was included and the variety of food was good. We went during the busiest time of the year and the restaurant was crowded in the morning, but they never ran out of food. Overall 8/10”

“I spent a weeknd in Nagoya and stayed at Royal Park Hotel. The location of the hotel is in 5 mins walk to Nagoya Station, and just 3 mins from Midland Island (a high-end shoppig and dinning place, Dean Deluca is there). Also, there are hundreds of shops to satisfy all kinds of visitors. By the way, I paid a bit more to stay on Premium floor, and it's worthy! The size of the room is bigger than the average business hotesl in Japan, and free drinks at restaurant. The breakfast is as good as most people posted online, very healthy and delicated foods to energise youself in the morining. I'd definitely stay at this hotel if I go to Nagoya again.”

“We had a very pleasant stay in this hotel. Aonami line can get to the hotel without getting out the skywalk, convenient. If you are familiar with the road, walk to Nagoya Station will only takes you like 10minutes around. It’s a new neighbor and close to Aichi University, a young and vivid area with new hub and restaurant. Hotel receptionists are all with good attitude, even helped me to book restaurant. Facilities are brand new since this is a newly opened hotel on December 2017. Willing to stay in this hotel again and hope the price rate will be the same. It’s very lucky and wise that we didn’t choose to stay at Mitsu Garden Hotel which we had a short stay in Kyoto in Mitsu, small and old facilities.”

“Traveled to Nagoya with my parents who stayed in a similar room. Bed was large enough for two people. Lots of places to charge phones. Enough space to put suitcases without running into them. Have two different shuttle buses that run at different times to station in more and rest of the day. Across the street from 7-11, Starbucks and other restaurants. Short walk to Sasashima Raibu station on Aonami line, one stop from Nagoya Station. Even a taxi ride from either side of Nagoya Station is less than 10 minutes. Restaurants in the hotel are a little expensive for my taste. However hotel is on line to Legoland Japan so great for taking kids there.”

“I like the hotel very much because it located in a very good location, just a few minutes walk to NAGOYA train station, and there are a lots of retaurants, shops and shopping malls around the area so it is very convenience for eat and shopping. Overall I give a higher mark to Castle Plaza Hotel and I must stay there again when I come back Nagoya. “I love it a lot! The lady staff could understand English so it's all good. The elder gentleman staff may not understand much English, but he tries his best to understand, and is so friendly as well! The rooms are very clean, and the small public bath, free photo and gardens are lovely touches! Staying on the first floor, the little balcony is quaint and I like it! I didn't order food so I can't really comment on it. The only problem I have is location, as lugging a large luggage bag can be tiring. As I travelled during the winter period, rain can be a problem when leaving or going to the hotel as shelter is scarce (the most you could do is travel from Nagoya JR line underground, through the Unimall and exit at the Nagoya International Building). “My girlfriend, brother, his partner, a friend and I stayed at Hotel Leopalace for our Nagoya leg and found this hotel to be very spacious and clean. The hotel staff were very helpful and their English was very good. The rooms were comfortable, bathroom was a generous size and most of all very clean. The hotel provided a tasty breakfast (I highly recommend the Nagoya breakfast) which was always a great start to the day. I would highly recommend this hotel and would stay at the Leopalace next time I'm in Nagoya.”

Situated not far from Nagoya station, the new hotel is in a quiet neighbourhood with lots of office workers nearby during the day but very quiet in the evenings, and plenty of restaurants nearby targeted to local people so u dont get a feeling of being in a tourist area. The hotel itself is spotless, I was upgraded to a double room which was a nice surprise, everything works in the room and I like some little touch they give in the room, it really makes u feel at home. This Vessel Hotel also has an onsen separated by gender, and it's very clean and well equipped. I see multi national staffs working at the front desk and they are all smiling and friendly. I have to say the room size is sufficient for Japan, I was able to open my suitcase and I felt it's really a good value. Never heard of Vessel Campana before but if I come to Japan again I would definitely keep it in mind!”
