The location of the hotel in Nuwara Eliya is stunning as is first sight of the hotel interior. We were welcomed with a smile and cup of tea together with traditional juggery (a sort of crunchy fudge). Our room had a view of the garden and was well equipped and spotlessly clean. The staff during our stay were excellent, as was the food, especially breakfast.

We travelled to the Tea Factory Hotel from Kandy getting higher in altitude as we went. The mists rolled in and eventually we turned down a narrow bumpy road that led through some tea plantations. The very imposing Tea Factory Hotel loomed suddenly out of the fog. On arrival, we were welcomed with a warm towel and cup of sweet tea. Some of the machinery from the old tea factory days remains and the reception area is very tastefully furnished. The bedrooms were clean and comfortable with tea supplied from the hotels own miniture tea factory. The bathroom was functional but the bath/shower area furnishing was slightly dated. Evening meal in the form of a buffet and the bar area was well thought out with a range of tasty food. Reception staff were faultless throughout our short stay. If you are staying in the area specifically to visit World's End in Horton Plains, the van to take you there leaves from the Grand Hotel in Nuwara Eliya (1 hour's drive from the Tea Factory Hotel) so it would make more sense to stay at/near that hotel. However, if you fancy staying in an unusual hotel with spa, gym, good food and outstanding staff service then I cannot recommend the Tea Factory Hotel highly enough. (The road to the hotel will certainly give your vehicle's suspension a thorough testing!)

This is a old hotel in Nuwara Eliya. The garden is nice and it is very quite. If you bring your suit, you can try their dinner. The staff is good as I would leave the hotel earlier, they help to pack a good breakfast.

The view from where this hotel is situated is unbelievable. Many foreigners stay at this hotel or stop here for food/tea. The room is very clean and comfortable. There's no AC needed in this hotel as the climate in Nuwara Eliya/Ramboda is very cool. The bathroom was nice and clean and the shower felt so relaxing. The view from the room was amazing. We ordered room service dinner and it was plenty for two people. The breakfast was delicious and they placed a wide variety of options. Very nice view while having breakfast. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Nuwara Eliya, especially if it's their first time.

Treat yourself to a nice hotel in Nuwara Eliya because there's nothing in town and not really any place to go out. Best place to stay is here or at the Grand Hotel. However, in this hotel there is a set menu for dinner whereas in the Grand Hotel there is a restaurant and a coffee shop with good food. Both hotels have bars and billiard tables. In fact the Grand Hotel has three. The rooms here are quite nice, like staying in an old house in England. The only problem is that I had a view of a brick wall and when I asked to change rooms they took me to the other older wing where there were only two single beds in each room so I ended up stuck with the wall, not very nice since the only reason to come to Nuwara Eliya and Ella is to enjoy the view. The dinner menu wasn't anything special, breakfast was alright but forget about getting a decent cup of tea. It was nice to have a radiator in the room as I was able to dry my still damp washing and a nice touch was to find a hot water bottle in bed. The bar had a happy hour with a 25% discount and that was nice. Had to ask the train times to Ella several times before the receptionist called the station. I was surprised that they didn't have a list of the train times available since nearly everyone takes the train from here to Ella.

The staff was super lovely, welcoming and even prepared our packed lunch as we were leaving at 5am to Horton plains national park. The room was clean, and the bed was super lovely (had the best sleep in Sri Lanka!). The staff even brought hot water bottles to warm our beds, and I honestly wished I could have stayed for longer. The price wasn't the cheapest compare to other hotels in Nuwara Eliya, but I really really enjoyed the stay. 누와라 엘리야의 호텔중에서 비싼편에 속하긴 했지만 정말 정말 좋았던거 같아요. 고풍스런 건물도 좋았고 깨끗한 방이랑 침구, 푹신했던 침대 덕분에 정말 푹 잤습니다. 스리랑카에서 지냈던 호텔중에 젤 깨끗하고 좋았네요

We had a bad start to the trip bc of our driver. He only had one day in Nuwara Eliya and spent the entire time in the car. We were going to leave Nuwara Eliya without having seen anything until we met Yohan, the manager of the B&B. He heard our story and offered us another night's stay and arranged a beautiful scenic bike ride around the lake and tea gardens. It was so peaceful and right up our alley. We love seeing a country on bikes. Yohan also arranged a tour at one of the government owned tea plantations. Perfect ending to our short stay in Nurwara Eliya. This is a great place to stay. Yohan is a wonderful host and his staff is equally as hospitable. We definitely recommend Amaya Langdale.

Very easy to locate the hotel if you travel from north sri lanka to nuwara eliya. Its a little far from Nuwara Eliya city center. The view from the Panorama rooms is AMAZING !! Wifi speed is also good in the rooms. The furnishings of rooms are also nice and cozy. You can hear the Ramboda Waterfalls from the balcony of the panorama rooms. Its really soothing. Standard panorama room does not have AC, but its not noticeable as the place is pretty cold. We had to leave for Horton Plains in the morning 4:30, and the hotel was kind enough to pack us good sandwiches and water bottles for breakfast THAT early in the morning. Much recommended. Its a beautiful place.

One of the best small hotels I have stayed at. Exceptional location, beautiful rooms with an amazing chef, best meals we had in Sri Lanka...would go back tomorrow for the magnificent views and tranquility.

We had the best time. Reading the previous reviews I thought I made a bad choice but I really enjoyed the stay. The staff were really helpful and location is just superb. It's not in nuwara eliya. It's around 45min away from there but I prefer here because it's much peaceful and quieter. The cleanliness was good but you can find one or two insects in the room(you cant complain for that because it's in the nature) room service was ok as they dont have much of options but would recommend the fried rice. It was nice. The best part of this hotel is the amazing waterfall view u get from the room and I can sit at the terrace and enjoy the view all day. Overall I had a very nice stay and would love to go back again.

This place is amassing and located in the best viewing in the Nuwaraeliya in front of Gregory lake and garden. It was nice staying in balcony view room. Breakfast was superb and 5star rooms with all facilities. Staff was nice and friendly. This place is absolutely recommended and worth staying for money.

We stayed one night at Albany villa and had the best stay ever. We ve been welcomed and treated like princesses by an amazing staff. They were so considerate and nice to us, they made our stay completely perfect. The villa is charming, lovely decorated, and very confortable. The furniture is amazing and the garden is adorable. We really recommend the villa for holidays in Nuwara elya, it's cheaper that it should be regarding to the high quality of service. Thanks again to all the kind staff, you have been great ! ☺

Just outside Nuwara Eliya. Need a car to get there. A large cottage with loft, very nice decoration, TV with all channels you could wish for. WiFi in the room (during our stay it did not work so well due to raining). Good restaurant and very good breakfast. Friendly staff. Nice setting in a little garden overlooking a lake.Really nothing to complain about.

My stay at the hotel was totally overwhelming, and I extended my stay for another two nights due to the great comfort. It is a hotel built by international standard with all the facilities - spacious room/bathroom, clean towel, heater, tea/coffee-making facilities, high-speed internet, TV w/ international channels, and mostly importantly steady hot water which is very important in Nuwara Eliya. Staff are respective and friendly, and they prepared great breakfast (toast w/ butter&jam, egg, milk, tea/coffee, sausage/bacon, fruit). The location is within 15min walk to the city center, and 5min to Grand Hotel. It is superior to the other hotels I stayed in Sri Lanka during my trip. Highly recommended!

the description of the hotel is a big lie. A very small room without any furniture. Impossible to stay there. I want back my money

This is located few kilometres away from Nuwara Eliya town centre but very easy to get in (Don't complain, take a bus to Mahagasthota and a taxi. It costs less than two dollars). The staff is nice and welcoming. But the most important thing was the room. This is a very large clean room. Definitely worth twice the money I paid. The free breakfast was good enough. It is not a buffet breakfast, but if you need more, they will happily give you as much as you need. Don't go to fancy and expensive hotels in Nuwara Eliya if you want to stay few nights. Grand Camellia worth more than what you pay. I'll definitely go there again.

The hotel is located in center of Nuwara eliya town and walking distance to Gregory lake and race course ground. They had two types of separated menu for breakfast, English and Indian menu. Food was good , rooms are comfortable. Manager and staff was really helpful and friendly.

Beautiful place and very well maintained. Right from the point one enters Ramboda Falls, you are taken down to the hotel in a van. The hotel is well built and has a great location. Rooms are clean and the view from the room is good. Has a natural water swimming pool and one can walk down to the waterfalls. Would rate it 8 on 10. Only disadvantage is that it's cut off from Nuwair Eliya (around 20 kms from the city which on these curvy roads would be atleast a 45 min drive). But if ou have a cab/van of your own, then its good. The breakfast was good. I just hipe that prices dont increase as the ratings improve

We selected this hotel as a group of friends because it sounded new and true to Agoda,this was really a Unique Property built recently Managed by a reputed hotel Management with well trained staff All Rooms were excellent with quality amenities We have found an excellent hotel in Nuwara Eliya for our future stay

The host was too nice! They are very passionate and always with smile, we get up at 5 to the plate and they prepared breakfast for us at early morning! Anyway if next time I back to Sri Lanka i will choose them definitely! 100% recommend

There is no hot water for such a price, is the worst condition for a hotel compare with all other we lived inSrilanka. But the staff is very patient. If you do not mind live in ground with horrible smell, than book the room for two. Otherwise do not book the hotel. The toliet is very small as well.

We stayed in the attic room which had the most fantastic bathtub. My husband, who loves baths, spent a good 2 hours enjoying. Staff were fantastic and could not be more helpful and obliging. Stairs were a bit steep, but it was an attic room, so to be expected. They have a beautiful pool table on the second floor which we made use of on one of the 3 evenings we stayed. They are a bit far from town, but that seems to be the case with a lot of the hotels in Nuwara Eliya. The included breakfast was ample and tasty and the tea and cookies were always available. Oh, and the bed was great! Thanks.

Because in Nuwara Eliya everything is a little more expansive, we chose our accommodation a little outside (5min with Tuktuk). And Luxe Wilderness was just perfect. The villa is furnished like a british country house and is absolutely beautiful. You have a kitchen equipped with everything you might need. And if you don’t want to cook or leave the house: the owner offered to order some food for us. The bedroom in the upper floor consists of two large beds and has a balcony with a really great view. And yes, one of the pictures shows the actual bathtube in the bathroom. But you have a shower and two basins as well. Everything is arranged just beautifully. Breakfast was also great, we had the Sri Lankan style breakfast, but you can also choose an english breakfast. The owner arranged everything for us, Tuktuks to the city centre (250 rupies) or a tour to a tea plantation. He was just nice. We definitely recommend you Luxe Wilderness for a restful and wonderful stay in Nuwara Eliya.

Absolutely terrific. The staff were always there for us and the location is perfectly situated. We absolutely loved our time in Nuwara Eliya.

It is a modern looking estate and is new. We are impressed with the space in the room and the design. However, there is no cable tv and wifi. The staff also has limited proficiency in English but they are eager to help. We would still recommend it as it is still comfortable to stay in.

We stayed in 5 hotels in Sri Lanka, this one was by far the best. It's very nicely decorated, very nicely taken care of, very nicely everything. The breakfast buffet was great, especially when comparing it to the hotels. My daughter finally got to eat doughnuts. I'm surprised that it's a 4 star hotel and not a 5 star hotel! Maybe because the rooms were not very spacious and the bathroom did not have a bathtub? But I'd easily give it 5 stars.

During our trip's planning, we had a difficult time knowing if we should stay in Ella or Nuwara Elyia. We are so glad we chose Nuwara Elyia, and the Tea Plant hotel. It's a beautiful building next to Gregory Lake- lovely views, relaxing atmosphere, and a very accommodating, kind staff. The hotel is more removed versus some locations in the more touristy areas around the tea country, but we were very pleased to eat dinner at the hotel (great chef who is also happy to create dishes outside of his menu) after a day touring the area. I'd also highly recommend hiring a driver for a stay around this area, because the roadside views are spectacular. (We enjoyed them more than the train's, to be frank.) The bed was very comfortable and the shower pressure/temperature was great. If we encountered any small issues, the hotel staff were extremely helpful and accommodating to our needs/desires. The Tea Plant was certainly a highlight during our trip, and we'd stay here again if we had the chance!

having stayed in nuwara eliya many times and staying at one of the big three hotels there each time, due to prices and bad service at those i chose to stay at the glenfall resort. the service was fantastic from all the staff and the owners are two of the nicest people i have ever met. my stay was so comfortable and very enjoyable. i would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to everyone. thanks for the wonderful relaxing stay, i will definitely be back!!

The bungalow itself, it’s staff and the surrounding area are simply lovely. Peaceful walks through the tea and their adjoining pickers villages allow you glimpses of life in this corner of Sri Lanka. Picking, hand-processing and enjoying tea from these hills was a highlight of my daughters visit.

price are reasonable with such amazing services. Great views, cozy rooms, clean bathrooms, tasty foods. nothing bad at all. We all love the place. We had a driver so there was no problem for us to get to anywhere near Nuwara Eliya. (for example we went to city area, national park, etc)
