We were here for our honeymoon trip. Room was rather small but the hotel itself is very near to Dotonbori Area. Complimentary hot spring at the top floor and free ramen & alcohol drinks from 9-11PM. Full Amenities provided and the room was very clean. Staff was helpful and friendly. Will definitely come back and stay here and recommend to everybody who is looking for the perfect hotel in Osaka (Dotonbori Area)

Pros: •Literally located in front of Universal Studios Japan, no need to rush going to the train station! •A great view of the park, especially the Hollywood Dream Rollercoaster, which made us want to go back to USJ again soon •Superior room has a deep bath tub which you can use to relax after spending the whole day at the park •Separate room for toilet, TOTO washlet is superb •Large beds compared to other hotels in Osaka •Almost everything is provided for- free bottled water for all the guests, toiletries, bubble bath, comb, razor, Shiseido cleansing oil, shaving cream, bath, face and hand towels. Just request to make up room when you leave in the morning •Hotel is only a few steps away from Hotel Kintetsu, where the Airport Limousine Bus drops and picks up passengers to and from Kansai International Airport. Bus ticket can be purchased at the 3rd Floor lobby of Hotel Kintetsu. Booth is open by 7am, first trip going to Kansai leaves at 9:06am. Cons: •a bit far from downtown Namba, take the JR Yumesaki Line to Nishikujo, you might need to transfer to Hanshin Line going to Osaka-Namba •no English speaking channels We had an amazing experience, we were upgraded to a Superior with park view room. Room was spacious!!! All our queries were answered prior to our trip and everything was okay when we checked-in. Thank you Agoda and to all the staff of The Park Front Hotel.

Unlike many hotels in Osaka which rooms are tiny, Candeo has surprised us with the size and a full bath tub, in addition to the city view (but we were on the top floor and corner room, it’s worth paying extra for this!). It has a public bath but can get crowded in the evening. The hotel is very centrally located that tube stations, Namba, and the fish market are within walking distance. It doesn’t offer as much a variety of cleaning products/ toiletries as other Japanese hotels but compared to the norm of European/ American hotels this is above average.

The location was perfect, right in the center Of downtown Osaka. Namba station which is the connector to Kyoto, Nara and other nearby areas, is just a short walk to the hotel. Dotonburi and all main attractions nearby. Food was excellent around the area. Too much options! Shopping was superb, designer bags, second hand swiss watches complete with papers, clothes, shoes, etc. Heaven for shoppers and food trippers. Room was decent and clean. What you would expect from a 3 star hotel. Bathroom toilet of course the best as it is always in Japan. Concierge was best for keeping our luggage the whole day when we checked out and shopped. Excellent two night stay. Will definitely always stay here if I go back to Osaka.

One of the best hotel I stayed in Japan. Room: although the room is compact. However the layout is well thought and well equip. There is usb slot in the room n in the lobby waiting area. Facilities: the Hotspring is awesome, free ramen n free flow of beer in the evening was generous. The breakfast varieties is generous too. There is free bicycle rental for the first 2hours from the hotel Location: A few minutes away from the train station. Opposite the hotel there is a Aeon supermarket. And few walk away there is convenient store. The stay is definitely value for money. We are totally recommending our friends to stay and will stay again if we visit Osaka again.

The hotel is located inside the station. It is easier to travel to any part of Kansai from the hotel. Restaurants and convenient shop, Tokyu Hands and shopping mall are between walking distance. Room is spacious and comfortable. Clean bed sheet and towels are being changed every day, their do the housekeeping properly where you can't find any dirty dust in the room. I would strongly recommend this hotel to anyone who plans to travel to Osaka. For sure, this is my favorite hotel in Osaka. Good Job Granvia Osaka!

We stayed in the double room the first night and it was tiny even for japan standards. There was no space to put my luggage. The 2018 Osaka earthquake happened early next morning and we requested a lower floor room. This was a twin room and it was much better. The hotel will tell you to use the "wbfhommachi" wifi network but it was unstable and I found it much better to use the one in your room. There's a separate wifi network for each room. The password can be found in the TV (the TV has this function which lets you cast your phone to the TV. One of the instruction pages show the wifi password, it's not difficult to find). Google Chromecast works only if you use the wifi in your room. Hotel also provides a free smartphone with data in each room which you can take with you for google maps web browsing. Shinsaibashi is minutes walk away from the hotel and Hommachi subway is also nearby. Breakfast is one of the best I've had.

we booked our room only 2 weeks before our arrival and we got a very good rate. the room was very clean and spacious, when you compare to other mini room across osaka. i got a room on high floor and could take a look at the skyline of osaka city every day and night which was amazing. hotel services were very professional. hotel location was unbeatable which was right at the shopping area of shinsaibashi with subway underneath the hotel connected to daimaru department store! you can't find any hotel more convenient than nikko hotel in osaka city!

Japan is tough for hotels...they are very expensive and the rooms are usually TINY, especially in Tokyo and Kyoto. This hotel was different. It wasn't cheap, but it was much less expensive than the hotels we booked in other cities, but the room was GREAT. The bed was the most comfy we had all trip. The view was excellent. The AC worked great. The bed wasn't in a corner--two bedside tables! And the lighting was thoughtfully done and not harsh. Water pressure was not quite as good as the other hotels we stayed in. The location is in a hotel zone in the north of Osaka, near the main station. It was a decent location. There is a whole maze of underground pathways/shopping areas that lead you to the various stations nearby, so it was always fun walking through those to hit the metro or JR lines. We walked a LOT though. So if you're not into that, maybe stay more central or closer to a station. But it was raining in Osaka and we spent half the time underground which worked out great!

This hotel is the greatest for me so far. Although this hotel is located quite far from the train station around 5-10 minutes, this hotel near Shinsaibashisuji shopping arcade. If you're a shopaholic, it's the best place for you. The room size is quite big among so many room hotels in Japan. The bathroom is clean, and everything is clean. The staff is very nice, although some of them can't speak English very well. I'm sure i'll visit this hotel again if i come to Osaka

It is my second hotel in Osaka and I am very happy to transfer from first cabin hotel to here,much much better but even much cheaper. Truly as its name, it is one of the best western hotel in Osaka. I really enjoy the experience!

We loved our stay at the Karaksa Hotel in Osaka (Namba)! The room was small by American standards, but it was actually the biggest room that we had on our trip. The shower and sink is separate from the toilet room, so that was very convenient. The hotel is very clean and modern. We were on the top floor and the elevator was very fast... we never had to wait long to come or go to our room. The breakfast that came with our room was adequate. It is advertised as a “western breakfast.” There are some things that fall into that category (waffles, pancakes, yogurt and fruit, and two options of dry cereal, scrambled eggs... done differently than what were used to though, rolls and bread for toast). The staff were very friendly and helpful. The only minor issue is that the subway is not really close. It’s about a 10 minute walk. This was not an issue for us, but some might find that inconvenient. Overall, our stay was wonderful and we would definitely return to this hotel!

First off, I appreciated booking through Agoda.com. They provided great customer service and pricing. My room was as small as a postage stamp for a hotel in Osaka. But really I had no issue with it, as I’m a solo traveler. The Wi-Fi in the room was perfect and super-fast. The room was minimally decorated, clean and in good repair. I was left a bottle of water everyday by the cleaning staff. It was a nice option to have in my purse when I was running out the door. There was a kettle and a small fridge in the room. It was also nice to have if you didn’t want to run out and get a breakfast in the a.m.’s. The Bathroom was always well stocked. The location of the hotel is very convenient to Osaka-Namba station. There were some cheap and cheerful places close to the hotel to grab food. The street the hotel was on was pretty quiet and I never experienced any issues when I left early in the a.m. and came home in the early evening.

I love this hotel! Was scouring the internet for hotels near USJ and came across this gem. It did not have a lot of reviews when I booked it but from the ones that were left, I was hooked. So I booked a 2-night stay for a family holiday and it did not disappoint. One, it is really near Universal City Station (by near I mean adjacent to it). Universal City Walk is a minute walk while Universal Studio Japan is at most a 5-min walk. Since it is really near Universal City Station, going anywhere in Osaka does not take too long. We went to Dotonbori on our 1st night there. Two, it is new (opened in 2017 I think). Three, the room is spacious (I booked a corner room so it might be bias). Four, the staff are really helpful and super friendly. The cherry on top is certainly the Skyspa on the top floor. (For beginners, i.e 1st time traveller to Japan, it is sort of like a hot spring in the hotel. What you do is you go up to the 14th floor, bring the hand towel provided by the hotel and wear the yukata prepared by the hotel. Bathe before you go into the hot spring and bathe again after. One crucial thing is you have to be naked at the soaking area. You can bring the small hand towel with you but do not wet it at the pool. All your belongings must be stored in the lockers provided and this should go without saying that phones and cameras are not allowed in the spa.) No downside to this hotel although if you want to be picky then the breakfast might not suit your palate as it caters mostly to the locals. My family and I love it tho. Another unique thing about the hotel is the amenities are given freely at the lobby, so a little self restraint is advised. In conclusion, this hotel has met my expectations and more. Will definitely stay here again when we come back.

The hotel is across the umeda airport limousine station so very convenient for airport drop-off and pick-up. It is adjacent to subway station for midosuji, hankyu and JR lines making means of transportation convenient. It is surrounded by shopping malls and restaurants. Staff at front desk are very courteous, can understand and speak English and helpful. Rooms are very clean and bigger than usual compared with other hotels in Osaka. They have repacking / weighing room in the lobby which is very useful and convenient after last minute shopping. The only downside in this hotel room is that you can hear the sound of trains leaving the umeda station. Sound is tolerable and not irritating though.

When I first started looking for hotels in Osaka (3pax in 1room), I was pretty dismayed at the prices I saw. For this hotel, I was supposed to pay USD 250, but I was able to use some points and a discount given by my credit card, so the final price I paid is USD235. I don’t know about the prices in your country, but in our country, USD 250 plus just a little more can already get me a room at 5 star hotels, and this was only a 3.5 star hotel according to Agoda. I prepared myself for a “just okay”, mediocre hotel. After 6 nights of stay, my view has definitely changed for the better! Let’s be realistic– of course I didn’t magically step into a luxury hotel. But I find that the value you get for the money you pay is great!!! Now, I really love this hotel and would book and go back to it for any future travels to Osaka (unless I find a better deal elsewhere of course). Location – LOVE LOVE LOVE. It’s right at the heart of Umeda. When you come out of the back entrance, the whole street is lined with restaurants. You are surrounded by shopping malls, shopping streets, shopping arcades… Of course with shopping comes food – food “museums”, food “floors” in malls, food streets, food arcades. And of course, the train/metro/subway, is also right there – just a 5-10 minute walk. You are on the edge of one of the major rail hubs called the “Umeda/Osaka Station”. It’s not the NEAREST hotel to the station, but given the ones right at the very heart of the station are more expensive, the location of this hotel is A-OKAY!! Arrival – the “ANNEX” is different from the MAIN Hotel New Hankyu. The main hotel is nicer, nearer to the hotel, of course more expensive. But for me, it doesn’t make much of a difference location-wise. The annex is still fabulous. Another thing to love - the Airport Limousine Bus drops you off at the Hotel New Hankyu Main! Then you can just walk to the Annex. As advised by the other reviewers, go the main one, and ask them how to get to the annex. They a

We booked the hotel basically because of the central location and as it offered one of the Japanese hot springs within the hotel area for free. The rooms are a little small (guess that's normal for Japan) but super handy. All we needed was in place, even an universal charger for Ipad, Samsung etc. WIFI was for free and superfast, no annoying logon process at all. Me and my girlfriend felt very comfortable and relaxed in our room. The hotel itself is pretty new and located 10min walk from JR Namba station which is a good connection to the Airport. From the hotel just a 5 minute walk and you are in Dontoburi area with lots of restaurants and a little further a nice shopping street, offered all you might be interested. We have had an amazing weekend in Osaka and because we liked the Hotel so much decided to pay for a day longer (Japan doesn't know late check out)instead for further sightseeing, have a relaxing day until we have to take off for our night flight. We really just can recommend that place!

this hotel is definitely the best option if you're going to universal studios in osaka. the price is incredibly reasonable and the rooms are the best in town. everything is clean and well maintained. i also found the rooms to be very spacious and a little more "western like". it's not for the downtown experience but a great addition to your trip if you're planning to spend a week or so in osaka. taking out money is a bit tricky as the lawson doesn't allow international visas. there is a 7-11 about a 10 minute walk from the hotel where you can take out funds. in fact, try to know where all of the 7-11's are in japan wherever you're staying as they are a great place for not only taking out money but also pigging out on snacks. happy travels.

Very easy to find this hotel. If you take Nankai line direct to Namba station (which is last stop). Get down the escalator, turn left (you should see the 'Swissotel Nanka Osaka 4 or 5 star hotel' on your left hand side, but double cost compare to hotel Ilucuore). Walk straight, facing the road, turn right. You should see a traffic light at your left side (opp shop is something like Daiso, selling shampoo, tissue.. cheap stuff). Wait for the green light cross the road, walk straight till you see the family mart at your left side. Infront there is a car park at your left side. Then you might see the "Hotel Ilucuore". Less than 5min walk can reach the hotel. This Namba station, link to the other few subline. so easy to travel around. My husband, daughter 4years old and me. like this room very much, non-smoking room super clean. everything provided. like electric converter, alot of plug for us to charge our phone/ipad/camera. Also wireless free services provided. Sponge for bathe and hair bend also provided. Only 1 thing no good, die die must wait till 3pm then can check in. Eventhough surronding have a lot of place to shop and eat. but travel in night really didnt sleep well. Really torture when waiting since 10am-3pm, wait about 1pm my girl tired till fall in sleep, no choice have to carry her back to hotel, rest place (have sofa, coffee, computer for surf net and also wireless service) to wait till 3pm. Luckily I bring along my ipad, can enjoy my movie on the sofa while my girl sleeping beside. For those who first time travel to Osaka, highly recommended buy the Osaka unlimited pass which only cost yen 2700 (specially for tourist) few places entry free and have discount coupon for eat and buy thing.

Room is a bit small but everything is provided for you. Bathroom is nice. Free breakfast buffet, access to lounge in the evening, fast wifi, and even sleep wear are provided. Location is in between 2 subway stations so expect to walk for about 5-10 minutes. I recommend this hotel in Osaka.

monterey grasmere osaka hotel is the recommended and best accommodation in osaka. i walked from jr namba station and could reached in 3 minutes. it was very convenience to access many places by public transportation. in addition, if you would like to hang out or go shopping at night in dotonburi or shinsaibashi walking street, you can access there by walking in 8 minutes. i could save the money for transportation and save my time to move other places. for accommodations, room was so clean and new. my family really liked bathroom at the hotel. and we could see downtown at night from our room which located in 31st floor. if compared with price, and quality i do recommend tourists stay at monterey grasmere hotel in osaka because there are many japanese staffs who can speak very well in english and chinese, including some korean language.

the location is superb. very convenient to travel around kansai area. easy to reach and find even for the first timer. to get to the hotel, you just take the nankai train to its destination. no train change. get off the station to the ground level and after a 5-10 minute walk, you reach the hotel. we travelled around kansai area: osaka, kyoto and nara. the location of the hotel made the travel plan easy. namba is the junction of 5 railways, and you can go anywhere easily in kansai from here. there are two things that might let some travellers down. 1. the room space is tiny. that's normal in japan especially in a big city like osaka. 2. the hotel is on the second floor. the escalator runs only one way. it runs down in the morning and runs up in the evening. if you reach the hotel in the morning, you will have a good excercise carrying all the luggages over the stairs. other than those 2 complaints, the hotel is great. we will be definitely back.

Though located at Shinsaibashi, this hotel is a bit away from the Eki. It takes around 10 min walking which is acceptable for such a high-standard hotel. I've been to more than 10 hotels in Japan and this is the BEST I've had. Having a fabulous and modern look from outside, its interior design is new and good too. Room is BIG comparing to the general standard of Japan, very big indeed in terms of this price. The room has a spectacular inside looking with everything newly equipped and decorated, especially this hotel has just 3 year-history. Being a business hotel the staff speaks quite fluent English which adds point to the hotel. If I go to Osaka again I MUST choose this hotel again. I strongly recommend this hotel to you all.

Hotel room was small, which is common in Osaka. But it was 2-3 minutes walk from Kitahama Train Station, which was the best thing. Hotel is next to 7 eleven for any emergency food. Good service, cleanliness and facilities as expected in any hotel in Osaka or Japan. Not many restaurants near hotel, but if you eat Japanese, then you have 4-5 good restaurants, and a super market in Kitahama plaza.

Of the number of hotels I've stayed during holidays in Japan, this is the best I've experienced. Spacious rooms compared to normal size in Japan. I've been to Osaka twice, and this second time I purposely booked Hotel 88, because I've been there and impressed before, and it still is very good. Staff always available and helpful, the canteen area to have a drink/rest/eat breakfast/snacks. Lots of facilities and features (e.g. massage chairs, sitting areas, coin laundry). If I have to pick on something missing from my point of view, notes and pen in room, I can't find one :-) but it's nothing compared to the already excellent hotel.

It was the first time for my dad and I to visit Japan and staying at Sarasa Hotel made the trip so convenient and memorable. We got a bit lost trying to find the hotel after getting off at the Nankai-Namba Station, but the Japanese folk were very friendly and helpful. The room was just the right size and had all the basics, plus a wonderful heated toilet! The beds were great too, complete with memory foam mattress toppers and fluffy duvets. The TV, though, didn't have any English channels. Breakfast was simple but very delicious. They rotate the same menu, but everything I tried was good, especially the scrambled eggs! As for the location, we were literally steps away from all the places we wanted to see–Shinsaibashi, Dotonburi, Kuromon Market, and Namba City. The train stations were very close by as well. It was so easy to head out of town (Kyoto and Nara) and to other attractions within the city (Osaka Zoo, Osaka Aquarium, and Abeno Harukas). There were also several convenience stores around the area that made grabbing late-night snacks very accessible. I already want to head back to Japan and Sarasa Hotel will definitely be my first hotel option.

Stayed here for two nights while visiting Osaka and Nara. Got a good deal through Agoda, which made it extremely good value. Staff are friendly, no problems there. The room (in this case a standard semi-double) was bigger than average for Japan - and contained a decent desk, watchable TV and all the usual bits. Nice powerful shower too. The location is great - just 5 minutes walk from the main food area (Dotonbori) and 2 minutes walk from the nearest metro station (Shinsaibashi) which offers easy access to Shin-Osaka station and the Shinkansen. Also only a few minutes from Kinetsu-Namba station, which is the best way to get to Nara. Very happy, recommended.

We were happy with our hotel in Osaka. The best thing about the hotel was the location - right near the main entertainment/shopping district. The semi-double room was quite small but as long as you are prepared for this it is ok. We found that booking this hotel on the Agoda website was the best deal for a hotel at this location.
