Palermo hotels & places to stay

Access to the beach strip through a gate at the back of the property was wonderful when going to explore restaurants. Beach is gorgeous...just across the street. Access to the 806 bus into Palermo stops just across the street. Beautiful views from the rooms' balconies--all face the beach. Would definitely stay here again!

We had a great 1 night stay. Hotel is very central for all in Palermo. Staff very helpful both in advance of our arrival and during. We had the wonderful surprise of a fabulous room upgrade as it was relatively low season. Though of course not everyone can get this it is lovely when it happens ! The roof top restaurant is superd .... very romantic views and sunset .... and food & service excellent. Thanks very much for all you did to Rosario and all staff.

We stayed for 6 nights (March 30 - April 5, 2013). My wife absolutely wanted a hotel with a pool, which narrowed our choice of hotel down by a lot. At 60 euros per night, NH Palermo seemed by far the best value of the hotels that had pools. Upon arrival, my wife was disappointed to see that the pool was green and that the pool area was closed. If you want the pool, you should ask the hotel if it will be open prior to booking. According to reviews and traveler photos, some rooms are newly renovated while others are quite dated. We had room 216 which was newly renovated and very nice. Pros: price was fantastic, newly renovated room was very nice, location was pretty good, breakfast was included and was good, front desk was friendly and spoke good English, fantastic restaurant (Kursaal Khalesa) right next door to the hotel. Cons: wifi was extremely slow and you needed to get a new wifi password from the front desk every 24 hours (which was annoying when staying 6 nights), pool was closed despite the weather being sunny and 20-23C, staff advised us that our shower was causing water damage in the room below us (which didn't bother us of course, but worth noting), certain front desk staff was often reluctant to help with restaurant reservations. If the price is right, I would highly recommend this hotel so long as you get a newly renovated room and do not mind very slow wifi or possible closed pool area.

Can't say enough about this modern, clean, and beautiful hotel in the heart of downtown Palermo. Great proximity to restaurants, shopping, and tourist sites...and the bud to the airport is right around the corner. The staff was amazingly helpful, and made for a great few days in wonderful Sicily.

I really thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Brunaccini, the interior has a quaint mix of new and old that somehow really works. My room was awesome, spacious and with a really nice balcony. Staff were really friendly and very helpful when Alitalia needed to be contacted but left no contact details. It is one of these hotel experiences where not one thing really stands out, everything was just consistently good all the time, the standard of rooms, the breakfast, helpful staff always a very good atmosphere. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The only small thing could be to recommend to improve the internet. It was working all the time, but sometimes a little slow. Then again, who goes to Palermo to surf the net??? I would recommend this hotel to any other visitor.

Wow, I have traveled the world and have stayed in many places from the Ritz to hostels. This is by far the nicest place I've ever stayed. The apartment is so nice we didn't want to leave. We even extended our stay because of it. The location is fantastic and we used the terrace quite a bit. Book here without hesitations and plan to be blown away!!!

We had booked a junior suite and we would call it a large room, but not a suite. No Sofa, just two chairs, normal sized room ,large bathroom. Staff at the reception very freindly and helpfull, the morning service for breakfast was rather non existent. But the brekafast was ok. The hotel is in a quiet residencial area, about 25 minutes walk to the quatro canti. Normal rooms are extremely small!

Clean, spacious and close to centre and attractions. To see the heart of Palermo and walk to everything. Staff excellent.

could check in earlier as announced, all handled well, great staff and very friendly and helpful, even got a huge lunch bag due to early check out place was unexpected nice, as from outside it gave a different feeling, all was clean, room fairly big, just the heater too hot and could not be adjusted, so I had to sleep with open window, which in Palermo center is very noisy

The staff was friendly and helpful throughout my stay. The facilty was very clean and creatively decorated. I really enjoyed my stay - the staff made it quite special.

Nice service - great location near ferry and ok city - walking distance. Rooms are clean and being modernized. Parking next door. Nice people at hotel, always taking time to help. Like all the great graffiti paintings all over Palermo, also the hotel stairways are being decorated this way.

We didn't spent too much time at the hotel, but the staff was friendly, the rooms and common spaces were clean and the breakfast was very great with an extensive selection. The only problem was that the maid ignored our Do Not Disturb sign and she was cleaning our room while we were at breakfast only an hour before we were to check out and moved our stuff around to clean the room.

The historical center is literally at the next corner. Comfortable apartment planning. You have to go up a ladder before the sleep :) The rooms are kept clean permanently and every day you get croissants for the breakfast which you can cook for yourself. Absolutely recommend!

We enjoyed our stay at Massimo Plaza. Our room is spacious and tucked in one corner. The only drawback is that there is only one window which is open to the adjacent building.

We arrived in Palermo after dark and winded our way through the maze of streets until we found the B&B. Emiliano came down to greet us, brought our large suitcases up 4 flights of stars and then showed us where to park the car. The check in instructions were very clear and relevant thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. The B&B was minutes away from the main tourist street and the attractions. I think the highlight of our stay was the beautiful terrace on which we had a delicious breakfast. Our hosts, Barbara and Emiliano were very friendly and super helpful. Our recommendation is that you drive the smallest car possible and bring as little luggage as possible as well for the city of Palermo.

We stayed here as part of a wedding party for 3 nights. The hotel was very nice but there were some issues. We found the bedroom & bathroom very dark. Our air conditioning seemed to work ok but others in our party had problems. The breakfast was extremely poor. I didn’t even try the hot food as it looked particularly unappetising. The variety of fruit on offer was sparse. The toaster didn’t work properly. Wouldn’t return here.

Located close to the boulevard and on the edge of the old town. Inside it is however in perfect condition be it more functional than emphasis on beauty and is often the case in Italy. The staff was very helpful and found out any question or service needed.

The hotel is in a good location - easy walking distance to main attractions and restaurants etc. The staff were very nice and helpful and the rooms were comfortable and clean. We were there in off-season so got a great rate - extremely good value for money. Ask the hotel ahead of your stay where to park as it can be difficult finding a park on your own in Palermo. Thanks for a great stay.

We really enjoyed our stay at BB22, it's a little hole in the wall bed and breakfast of only 7 rooms. That means you get great attention from the staff, the place is not overly crowded and you get a sense of space and boutiqueness unique to a place like that. We had the suite so we had a luxurious room complete with a claw foot tub in the middle of the room.

Cefalu is a really beautiful town and Matteo's room/cottage/apartment is in the dream location; Just a few meters from the sandy beach in an ancient little street. Ok it's small but it's great, it's ideal for couples or those with a small child. If you're booking this... I'm jealous; Can't wait to return.

1*7*4 Via Roma has all qualities one looks for a value for money. The service is offered with great attention and courtesy. The facilities are inside an old building which gives it charm; inside the double room is modern furnished, spacious and very comfortable with comfy bed, double sound proofed window, efficient and silent aircon. The room is very clean and wifi is working well with high speed Internet for video viewing. The location is central to the old city to visit monuments as well within 10 minute walking distance on Via Roma street to the central train station. I highly recommend with no hesitation.

Impeccably clean and well supported by the owner. The service is such that you feel that you are living with friends. This easily outweighs a few minor negatives the biggest being the noisy environment in this part of the city. We will deginetly return if we ever visit Palermo again. Very clean, neat , spacious, well equipped. Good location. Ms Cinza is very helpful also. All that we need as tourists. Makes you feel pleased that you have found the rightt hotel.
