Nice place, clean, hot hot shower, quiet for Guat . Gotta walk about 15 min to main street. Walk out the door head toward the water and there is the locals playa, you can also follow the shore to downtown. If you turn left out of the hotel you can walk to Santa Catrina in about 45mins, lots of nice views of the lake on the way. i

The garden area of the hotel has a great view of the volcanoes! Wake up early for better views! Staff were generally good. A little walk from the main town of about 10min. Food was good. Old school kinda building but clean.

We stayed at hotel Utz jay for one night. The room was nice but seriously overpriced, the only problem with the actual room is that the shower didn't drain so you ended up in a pool of water by the end of it. At check in we felt the staff were rude and we decided to move hotels the next day instead of giving them more of our money. We found a comparable room a few doors down at a third of the price.

Basic room at a budget price, clean and cosy, nice bathroom with lots of hot water in a large shower, possibly the best shower in all of Guatamala! Down a small lane from the main street of town Viajero is in a good location. Staff don't speak much English but they are friendly and helpful. A good place to stay!

There was a leadership event happening at the hotel and it was very loud with cheering, singing, and shouting throughout the day, and into the night. The clean-up of the event included noise from moving furniture and setting up the room, until 2am. The staff were apologetic but didn't offer any remedies. My suite was very basic. Furniture was old and uncomfortable (couches, chairs). WiFi worked very poorly. It's a great location for seeing the lake. Very close to the main roads. Okay for one night, but the value for money is poor.
