Stunning boutique hotel, the room we stayed in was huge with a balcony and ocean view. It was so beautifully decorated, the bathroom was stunning with a free standing bath, double shower and basin. The restaurant is stunning as well and the food was delicious. Overall the service we received from when we arrived was exceptional! I would recommend this to any traveler and will definitely be back for a longer stay next time! (Be sure to book the rooms upstairs and ask for one with a balcony as not all have). Great location in the heart of Plett, parking is on the street but there is plenty available.

Great location , lovely rooms with stunning views we stayed for two nights don't miss out on the evening meal there with the other guests it was excellent. Friendly helpful staff, not far from Plettenberg Bay 10km

Milkwood Manor is a lovely place to stay in Plettenberg Bay... The Balcony of our room overlooked the vast beautiful beach to the right and the lagoon to the left. The staff were all very courteous and friendly with the offer a beach bag, towels, beach chairs and parasol if needed. The breakfast was delightful and the Lemongrass restaurant had an excellent food & wine menu. I would highly recommend staying at Milkwood Manor.

We stayed at Formosa for 4 nights while road tripping the Garden Route. The place was gorgeous and staff very accommodating and friendly. Onsite swimming pools and laundromat came in very handy during our trip! We did find the service and quality of dishes of the on premises restaurant lacking. The location is ideal for exploring Plettenberg Bay and surrounding areas :) Due to the current drought in the area we were asked to use our bath water for the toilet cistern which we were happy to fully support but they only provide a big bucket to put the water in which made it challenging to get the water out of the bath into the bucket and subsequently the cistern which ensued in a watery mess in the bathroom every time you use the bathroom.

Great place to stay, amazing food!! Very unusual setting but great, disappointing first impression with staff but the second day was good when we met the owner.... expensive place to stay but great for a special occasion. We got married whilst staying here and wanted to get married (with no guests) on the premises but it appeared expensive so we did it on the beach then came back for a meal which was lovely and the staff were very attentive and kind. Would definitely go back as the food was one of the best meals we had in South Africa and the staff seemed lovely.

Pros - Great place to stay a little way out of Plettenberg. Staff great. Food exceptional. Cons - they have four large Alsatian dogs. Well behaved but they were allowed in the swimming pool.

The Bayview is a basic hotel and priced and pitched as such. For me it was perfect except for one main reason. When rooms are vacant, it is the practice of this hotel to leave the room door open and ajar. On my floor, all but 3 rooms seemed to be vacant, open and ready for anyone who wanted to get past the rather casual reception to use for any purpose. In South Africa I feel this presents an unacceptable security risk for no perceivable benefit to management or guests.

This has been the best bed & breakfast we have ever stayed. The moment we got there Bernie and Adrienne made us feel right at home. Adrienne helped us planned our whole stay In Plettenberg Bay from walking along the beach to delicious restaurants and hiking Robberg. She also helped us book our excursions. The breakfast especially the eggs Benedict was delicious. The location is perfect right in the middle of a beautiful neighborhood and only a 3 minute walk to the beach. It is also near all the attractions such as Robberg. If you stay In Plettenberg Bay this is definitely the place to stay. We are so grateful to all the reviews that we read and completely agree this is the best B&B in town!

From the mopment we arrived, we were treated like royalty. The delightful receptionist made sure we were accommodated in a beautiful ground-floor room to suit my wife's limited mobility, the assistant manager was incredibly attentive and could not have done more to make our stay memorable. And the breakfasts, served on the terrace, overlokking Plettenberg Bay, were just the best!

We stayed in studio 6, which is the furthest away from the restaurant and still had great views along the beach and the twinkling lights of Plettenberg. The studio was the height of luxury with solid wood furniture, loads of pure linen cushions, the very best bedlinen and excellent lighting. We had a large terrace overlooking the beach with dining table and chairs and two large comfortable sunbeds. The only problem was that the unshaded terrace got full sun all afternoon, which also heated up the room. However, the powerful ceiling fans did help to combat the heat. They provide muesli, yoghurt and fresh fruit everyday, so you really did not need any other breakfast. Enrico's restaurant did not cause us any disturbance at all. The live music was just one guy with a guitar, which you could not hear over the sound of the crashing waves anyway. The problem was that the restaurant was constantly full and they do not take bookings, so it was a bit of a struggle to get a table.

The staff at this hotel are trying extremely hard to ensure the comfort of guests. Once we found it (not at all easy if you don't know the area), we were warmly welcomed. A car is essential as the hotel is some distance away from the town centre. Dinner on our first night was excellent, though not a cheap option, the homemade bread was divine. There is room for improvement in some areas - our TV did not work properly and the aircon was erratic, also the grounds could have been made more attractive. Overall we were comfortable and there was masses of room. Ask for a sea view.

We wish we could have stayed longer than one night. John and his staff were excellent hosts and our short stay there was one of the highlights of our 2 week trip in the western cape. The Lodge is in a beautifull location overlooking the valley and the complimentary breakfast in the morning is top notch.

A convienent hotel 1.5km från Plettenberg center, The rooms where recently refurbished also the bathrooms . Friendly staff and the restaurant served a good breakfast buffe and freasonable priced lunch/dinner.

Very comfortable and with good quality food and restaurants Hunters lodge is a place to take a break at but be prepared for a rather superior pompous attitude. It located a bit out of Plettenberg Bay so you need to drive everywhere.

It was our 2nd stay with Host Christa at Christiana Lodge. Its a wonderful peaceful place in a quiet and upmarket area of Plettenberg Bay. The beach is just a few walking minutes away and one can hear the waves in a distant. Rooms are very nice and in a modern beach chic design. Breakfast at Christiana Lodge is a lavish affair with good coffee, fruit salad, a wonderful local cereal and a choice of eggs or crepes. Wonderful! We will be back as we really love that place. Thanks Christa and your staff - you are doing a wonderful job here!

room was clean and well presented ,it had a nice outdoor sitting area to have drinks etc. the breakfast was very good consisting of a varity of fruit and a well cooked breakfast . we were the only guests and the owner didnt appear to stay on site . there was quite a bit of dog noise and some shouting whch made us feel a bit uneasy being south africa , but all was well and mabye in was only that night . it was a b and b not a hotel .

It felt like we were welcomed home to a relative. They were so warm and kind with the nicest hospitality and patience. They went all out with information and suggestions on what to do and where to go in Plettenberg. Rooms were great with warm blankets for the winter and all of it was clean. One of our best stays in South Africa so far. We were sad to leave.

What a great surprise, coming over from the US we weren't so sure what to expect. We arrived and Fran was welcoming can catered to our every need. The location was close to the beach which was awesome as we had a two year old and getting back and forth was quick and easy. Getting around town was quick as well as reaching the N2 to visit tourist spot around Plett. The room was way better than expected and breakfast was one of our highlights while sitting on the patio. One thing is for sure and that is that we will be back!

it was superb. one of the best b&b i have ever stayed so far. our room and the outdoor living room are very cozy and well decorated. our breakfast is also very delicious. the owner also own a restaurant nearby but we missed the chance to try. definitely recommended and would absolutely come back.

We visited Trogon House for 3 days as part of our honeymoon trip and it was fantastic! the staff is amazing and the setting and location so special. I was pleasantly surprised as the place was even more beautiful than it seemed on the pictures. We stayed in room 5 on the Tomba side and the room was absolutely perfect! Would definitely recommend Trogon House!

The staff were really accommodating when we arrived a little early and wanted to put some things in the fridge. The view is absolutely stunning my favourite accommodation in SA. I just wished we could have stayed longer.

This is an amazing B&B because there are only a few rooms and the view of the ocean is great! The room is well maintained and it is always a joy to have breakfast alfreaco in the deck which is just outside your room. As a nature lover, I really liked that the Robberg Nature Reserve is only a 10 min drive away. The B&B is located a distance away from main street of Plattenburg Bay, so a car would serve you well.

We reached Periwinkle after a 6 hour drive from Cape Town. It was nice to be greeted with friendly staff who brought us around for a tour of the lodge, informing us where the facilities were. The room was nice, clean and comfortable with a view of the ocean. We woke up early to chill by the balcony and enjoyed the sun rise. Definitely recommended stay. It is just a 5 mins drive from the city centre where the restaurants are located.

My family and I felt very much at home in this spacious guest house. There was plenty to keep the kids entertained. Breakfast was amazing too. We had a medical emergency with one of our Kids and the staff and owner were simply amazing. They showed so much compassion a ND support in a very a scary time. We were sad to leave and are sure to return.

We had a lovely stay here for 4 days, was an ideal location for visiting plettenberg bay and kynsa. The owners were very friendly and helpful and informative about local places to visit. The little cottage was ideal for us with outside garden furniture, swimming pool and breakfAst on the decking with beautiful views.
