It was a nice little place but it's in a local neighborhood far from the beach and any tourist type of thing. If you're not a tourist it's ok. Our room had limited water, faucets have just a little steam of water and toilet sounded like it might explode.

I was just there for the day passing through and it was a public holiday so everything was closed. However, staff were friendly and helpful, told me how to get around, where I could find things open and where to eat etc.
Room is clean and tidy, and it is at the highest floor (3rd floor), so it has a nice view. The location is good, 5 minutes driving distance to many restaurants, banks, and supermarkets. This was my first trip to Port of Spain and stayed at the Hyatt. Other than a slow check in process the stay was nice. I’d stay again if here on business. But if traveling with my family I’d look at other options. The primary reason is the shower has no partition separation from the bed so other than some etching-like design on the glass all is open. The location is not far from downtown by car. If the traveler has a rental car, this place is good. Otherwise, the traveler will likely need a taxi to get into downtown. Tour agencies also do pick ups from this location.
