I really enjoyed staying here and hearing the howler monkeys :D The staff was very pleasant and friendly. A little pricey for a solo traveller, but for 2 people it would be more worth your money for sure :D Leslie at the front desk was extremely helpful and was able to answer any of my travelling needs! Two thumbs up for sure !!!

We stayed in hostel plinio for 2 nights to visit Manuel Antonio national park. The pool and communal areas were nice and it was handy having a kitchen. Breakfast was very good and the staff were helpful! However we think that it is a quite overpriced hostel for what you get as it is fairly basic yet costs similar to more luxury accommodations. Also we would suggest paying in dollars as their exchange rate to colones isn't great.

Don’t doubt it! It’s spotless, the soda inside the hostel has amazing casados and ceviches!!! And the staff is awesome, the receptionist was very helpful giving us lots of tips about Costa Rica and specially about Quepos and Manuel Antonio. Buses schedules, connections... everything!

The staff are very welcoming and can help with most any question or comment, be it weird or sane. The location can't get any better for both beach and park. Even if you want party, maybe 10 mins up the hill you have it. Really clean, the dorm room felt heavenly both nights there. The kitchen is a most wonderful addition to this place too.

We stayed one night and liked it very much. A little bit further from the beach that I expected, but bus stop right in front of the hotel (or cab is $4 if you catch one going down) and if you are planning to spend time in Quepos - its will suit you perfect. Very cozy. Pool is actually bigger than in pictures. A bit renovations going next door, but overall was nice and quiet. Hammocks in a balcony is nice touch. We tried dinner and it was good - potato pirogies is a must to try. Very nice and helpful owner. Will stay again.

The room is very clean. Good service and the staff are very nice, must book here next time.

Pro: location. A few steps from the entrance of Manuel Antonio park or the beach. Cons: expensive. Lots of staff working but not run well. Under construction. Looks like it still needs more work. Chipped paint and cracks in walls. Bugs in our room. Room wasn't ready when we arrived.

We arrived late in the evening and left at mid-day the next day so were unable to check out lunch or dinner. However good for the national park as we very close to the entrance. The room was spacious had good wi-fi and tv. Only minor problem was not much parking in the grounds but we were able to park in the grounds. If we go back to that area we would definitely use it again.

The hotel is very well located, close enough to Manuel Antonio National Park but also close to restaurants and especially direct access to the beach. The hotel property is divided by the main street, the restaurant and the pool are downstreet, close to the beach. We stayed at one of the deluxe villas and it wasn't well cleaned. Some of the bed linens and pillows had mold and the overall room was dusty, I was expecting more quality for the price. However, they offer a great ocean view, worth the more than 60 stairs to get there. The restaurant food is good but a bit expensive compared to other places in the area (Quepos is quite expensive anyway).

Great for two nights. Location is perfect. Everything was clean. A group of youngsters came back at 3 am and hung out by the pool and our room was just opposite it. Hotel rules should be added no one allowed at the pool after 11 pm.

The décor is amazing, unique and beautiful throughout, including unique natural fiber wall paper, decorative rock walls, tile work on floors, stairs and in pool area. Infinity pool was excellent infinity pool with excellent sunsets & fun visitors (toucans, porcupines, monkeys & more). Bar had a nice 2 for 1 happy hour with tasty pina coladas and other drinks. Rooms are lovely; we had an ocean view with an optional shared balcony with our friends in the next room. Did I mention the pool area? We loved the round hanging loungers. Staff was friendly, helpful & funny. Food and drinks were good. Location near Manuel Antonio park is excellent - less than a 15 minute drive. A great way to wind up our trip & spoil ourselves!

Really near from the front door of the natoonal park of Manuel Antonio, like 2 minutes walking. The boys who bring you tothe top pf the hotel are really nice and helpful. Did not like they ask you for the visa for the towels for the beach and swimingpool and if you forget tobring them down you by yourself have to go up and bring them down, there was to much for this expensive hotel. We did not accept this service and the other tours, really expensive in compare for the other parts of Costa Rica. The views from the pool are wonderful and you can relax. Also the view from our room was really nice. The room is nice with a big and confortable bed, fridge, nice bathroom, and nice balcony. We saw some ants in the room during our stay. The breakfast is a little bit small of fruits, thought it would be better for the price of the room, atleast you can have tea and coffee as much as you want and also in the room you will have coffee.

My fiancee and I spent two nights at Hotel Serenity while on vacation in Costa Rica. While nothing fancy, it was a comfortable place to stay and a good value given that it was busy season. The hotel is conveniently located in the center of Quepos within walking distance of some great restaurants, the intercity bus station, the Marina Pez Vela, and the town's riverside park. It was a 15-20 minute drive to Espadilla Beach and Manuel Antonio National Park, and even though it was busy season, we were able to find free street parking right out front of the hotel. The room was clean, with working A/C and a decently comfortable bed, and the free breakfast was tasty and satisfying, consisting of toast with butter and jam, two eggs (fried or scrambled), gallo pinto (Costa Rican rice & beans), coffee/tea, cereal, fruit, and fresh-squeezed fruit juice. The staff were all friendly and attentive to our requests, and we really enjoyed swimming in the small pool they have on site.

Very clean, spacious rooms with well stocked kitchen. Great shower. Aircon worked well which you want in quepos. Its only a 5-10 minute walk from the bus station and a few minutes to a brilliant supermarket (mini price). I highly recommend!

The room was suficient for what we needed it for. The balcony and view was amazing! Lots of monkeys and birds to watch every day. There was even a sloth that was taking a nap on one of the trees on the property. Manuel was very nice and helpful. We would defintiely stay here again and recommend to a friend!

By far one of the best hotels I’ve been to! The hotel is entirely charming and bohemian- it looks like a fairy tale. My partner and I LOVED Carlos!!!! He was funny, sarcastic, kind and so attentive!! The property sits far enough back from the road that all you hear is nature. It’s perfectly located away from quepos and Manuel Antonio. And we will always remember the breakfast. I’ve never had such delicious fruit- bananas, papaya, watermelon, pineapple, orange juice and eggs with toast plus coffee. I’d go back in a heartbeat and highly recommend!!

It could’ve provided breakfast since it’s away from town. Coffee and a danish would have worked superbly.

We checked in early, so unsure if they usually include soap, but we didnt receive any extra amenities like soap or washcloth, etc. Staff is friendly and helpful. Affordable and clean, we would stay here again.

Clean rooms, good AC, WiFi works well. Helpful front desk, though not always there. She walk from the beach and the park, and at a pretty good price.

Paul and Fred were excellent hosts and were very helpful throughout our stay. Their apartments provide an amazing view of the Valle Pura Vida. The facilities are excellent and well maintained- although there is a shared pool we were always able to have private time here. I would strongly recommend La Maison Blanche as a base for holidays in the south-west of Costa Rica
