ANEW Resort Hunters Rest
Kroondal,Rustenburg - View on map
"The resort had a facelift, making it more attractive for people to busy. The problem is that certain areas of the resort is falling apart, restaurant has very little available from their menu, the frustration was that you ate only informed when ordering. I ordered a salad one of the days we visited, 2 ingredients missing, NO balsamic vinegar??? You also never receive your food at the same time, The spa on the property should rather close their doors, 1. Treatments booked not operational when we arrived, no communication 2. Had to educate the therapist on what we booked. Lack of Management, this is to the major cause for the spa going under fast!!!!"

Safari Hotel & Convention Centre

"Have booked there 4 years now and each year there have been issues- we had to move three times again this year- first room, the aircon was broken as well as fridge , second room the shower was missing part of the door so water went everywhere- third room fridge wasn’t working- the heated pool was not heated again this year- the put-put was in disrepair, as well as tennis court and games room was not there anymore- nothing for the kids to do- breakfast was not as good as last year- and we were only told the bacon was off after we had already eaten it- resulting in my kids and I being sick- have to come to rustenburg for tours again but won’t stay there- "

Traveler impressions of Rustenburg

More about Rustenburg

Set to the east of Pretoria and northeast of Johannesburg, Rustenburg is a town that predates its neighboring cities and has a rich history and cultural diversity. Both Pilanesburg International Airport near Sun City and Rustenburg Airfield serve as gateways for visitors coming to visit the Plantinum City. With something to offer all kinds of travelers and a location that could serve as a base for exploration, Rustenburg makes for a proper business or leisure destination.

Founded in 1851, Rustenburg retains some of its history in sites found around the town. The Anglican Church and Dutch Reformed Church were both established in the late 19th century and make for a good stop while touring the city. The indigenous tribes also have unique traditions that are of much interest. For nature, visitors to Rustenburg can visit Pilanesberg National Park or Kgaswane Mountain Reserve. Activities and water sports are popular in the area of the Hartbeespoort dam.

With Rustenburg fronting major highways, traveling to and from the city is easy, especially with accommodation conveniently located along the routes and within the vicinity of popular attractions. Be sure to check out the interactive map of Rustenburg for information on hotel locations, attractions, and must-see destinations.
