Traveling to Greece? Find Santorini hotels

This is the second time we are in Santorini. We stayed at the honeymoon suite which has an amazing view over Thira. The hotel and suite is located at the top of the cliff so it simply has the best over Thira I guarantee. The altitude is also the highest among every other hotel in Thira. There may be other hotels with fancier pool, but this hotel is just the best because of the location. The hotel has 3 honeymoon suites and each of them comes with a nice balcony and private Jaccuzi. We spent a day just in the hotel and was the most amazing moments of our trip in Greece. You should also try the Yellow Sea Restaurant which is one star Michelin accredited. Cocktails were nice. Everything in the room is clean. Just come stay and you will know what I mean (stay in Honeymoon suite, though it is not for family as it’s name implies)

I stayed in 3 hotels during my stay in Santorini. And Tholos Resort is by far the best among these three. Pro: 1. You ordered the breakfast the night before. And it would be served to you at your balcony next morning. Having the tasty breakfast at your balcony with the great view of the caldera! 2. Room is spacious. The washroom is also spacious. I like the room very much. Cons: 1. Pay the money and use the hotel's airport/ferry port transfer service. It is VERY difficult to locate the hotel if it is your first time in Santorini.

Great Property, lovely staff! The property is overlooking the East so good for sunrises. But if you are after Santorini sunsets you cannot see them from the property and would have to travel to Imerovigli 1 km away from property Rooms are amazing and the outside Jacuzzi (if your room has it) overlooks the east side so perfect to start the day!

We arrived around dusk to the most spectacular sunset we could have imagined. The setting of this hotel is truly spectacular!!! Forget going elsewhere when you have the best view from your room! The staff here were all extremely friendly and accommodating, and even located us in a room right by the pool so that we could be close to our room when our baby was napping. We would definitely recommend staying here in Imerovigli as opposed to overcrowded Oia and Fira. We had a very relaxing and beautiful stay here. They were even so kind as to provide a baby cot without any extra charge. We were so grateful that everyone was so welcoming to our little family, and even offered to hold our baby whilst we ate our lunch. The lunch itself was also very good quality and really reasonably priced. I really can't say enough good things about our stay here. We absolutely loved it and were so so happy to have chosen this location to stay in Santorini.

Staff were friendly well informed and warm. Outdoor pool area is fabulous and the restaurant offers great service and value for money. Our bedroom and bathroom were spotless and lovely touches like the percale linen and pristine thick toweling we loved!

For a couples trip, Bella Santorini was great. It felt like a private villa to us. It wasn't very crowded and we liked that. The suite we stayed in was spacious and really nice for us. The hotel was really cute and the owner Lina is really helpful. It is walking distance to the black beach and there are nice restaurants by the beach. You need to get the bus to get into Fira and Oia, or if you drive, you can just rent a car/atv for the journey into town. I would recommend Bella Santorini.

This hotel is near the airport so we use it as a base and travel to other islands from it. For us , the location is excellent because it is very, very close to the airport -you can see and hear the planes land. This might be a problem for other users but like the fact that the area is otherwise very quiet. A lot of Santorini has been ruined because it is s touristy and busy. The hotel has a fantastic pool and the rooms are simple but nice. The most notable thing about this hotel is the staff who are exemplary. They are so helpful and friendly and for us, this is important because we are constantly booking taxis, car hire, ferries etc.

We had 12 people in our group, and we used five rooms at the hotel. Everyone had a wonderful experience. The rooms were extremely clean, and the staff couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. We ate in the restaurant several times and the food was always great, especially the breakfasts!! The pool service was lovely, too. We would definitely stay here again.

Location, location, location... The most amazing views with the best sunset anywhere. Private and cleanest well kept villas. People line up for hours outside private villas trying to capture sunset ,boats below packed with limited views. No need where stay has the most desired view. Because there is no access for autos, only many steps to get in or out, you will want to have good non slip footwear and get a little exercise in before coming to Oia. Well worth it ( priceless). Don't worry about luggage or shuttle they take care of it, just contact them and they handle it. There staff will amaze you, especially ( the one they call the mule) he took our luggage down on arrival and up the step steps out without loosing his breath. If you don't want to do steps, then you will miss out of what really is Santorini. Young and old along with people using canes handled it. Along these wide steps are shops,views, and restaurants, you can stop catch a breather and then March on.

OK, hardwares wise Mill House may not be on the top of the pile here, nonetheless, what they provide is way more than adequate; but, trust me, their service is one of the best if not the best in any hotel I've been to and I've been around – I travel for a living! The moment you check in, you'll know the difference, they don't just welcome you, they give you a detailed orientation of the whole Santorini! Everyone of their staff is unbelievably friendly, and they know exactly how to make you feel welcome. I was there alone but didn't feel, in anyway, lonely. One important tip though, USE their airport transfer service and have your rental car delivered at the hotel or use hotel rental car service, you'd be better off for it. I made that mistake and had to goof around for almost an hour to find the hotel, but every hotel in Santorini is pretty much in the hole literally, not easy to find and the ones that are easy to find are on street level which negate the whole point of being in Santorini anyway.

This villa has an incredible sunset view. We were all in awe as we watch the sun slowly disappear in the horizon. The staffs are amazing, especially Demitris the manager, who is very hospitable and never fails to attend to our needs. We can’t wait to be back!

Most of the people think Oia is the best location to stay. I would agree that during the summer. Since I came during the winter, my choice to stay in Imerovigli was the best decision. You can walk to Fira (city center) , strolling with Caldera view. During this season, the sunset can be viewed from Fira or Imerovigli. For some reason, I had to change my plan to Santorini in very last minute. I straight away called the hotel and asked if I could change my reservation. I was assisted by the hotel manager, Niki, and she managed to change it. Though I got a lower type of room, she arranged for airport pick up & drop off, and also breakfast, which these were not included in the rate that I paid. So, I was pretty happy with the arrangement.

Great location. Views were spectacular. Management and staff were amazing. Hotel room and facilities were more than we expected . Couldn't have picked a better place to stay in Santorini.

This was our honeymoon trip. I believe that everyone will have the same trouble when booking an expensive resort. Is it good? Is it as it shows in the photos? What if we arrive and is not what we expect? and so on keep checking and comparing so many other resorts. My wife and I we are very frequent travellers but still it took us 2 weeks to finally decide on our honeymoon resort in Santorini. Cosmopolitan Suites was DEFINETLY the best and the right choice. It was so good and perfect that we already decided that in our next trip to Santorini we would definetly chose it again without searching for other better one. As it didnt lack anything. Very welcoming and helpfull staff with personalized service in every way. We had a wonderful time and will definetly be back again.

The staff at the Atlantis hotel was so kind, generous and always greeted and said goodbye with an amazing smile. That goes such a long way sometimes for a traveler! After a very short walk from the main bus station, to the conveniently located hotel, check-in was quick and easy. The hotel common room and bar area are tastefully decorated and very stylish with beautiful blues and multi-color floral and patterned designs that create such an inviting environment. There were 3 of us traveling so we booked a triple and were delighted to find the room with an smaller room off to the side with the extra bed. The room was spacious and clean, bright and comfortable. While not on the side of the Caldera it had a large balcony with great views of the countryside and ocean, so it didn't disappoint. The breakfast was wonderful and was in a dinning room and terrace with full views of the Caldera and Fira town... a great way to start the day, and a nice spot to have a glass of Greek wine in the evenings!! The pool was a beautiful plus as well, however it was in a somewhat awkward spot and with little patio space. Almost half of the pool is literally under the edge of the building, so unless you're there early it could be somewhat difficult to get a spot in the sun. But its on the edge of the caldera, you use what space you've got... and regardless, its a good size and doesn't disappoint with the views either. Its convenience, style, cleanliness, location and service make it well worth returning to again.

This hotel is absolutely amazing! The views are the best in Santorini! The staff is beyond superb! So helpful and friendly!! They made our trip that much more memorable. If we come back to Santorini we will book again in a heart beat!!! AMAZING!!

This hotel is very new and I couldnt ask for anything more. The staffs are all warm and friendly. They were so kind to give us a free upgrade to a Jacuzzi Room. The rooms are immaculately clean, and the Guy Laroche towels and linens are AMAZING! Nice view from the rooms and great room service food. Our stay here was perfect because of the very accommodating and awesome staffs who took care of all our needs. Please give this hotel a try when you are in Santorini. You will have an ultimate relaxing experience. :)

Ducato di Oia is a small but perfectly formed piece of paradise. We booked the Pariis suite which has 2 bedrooms, we used 1 as a dressing room. It was comfortable and we had ample storage. The main reason to book this suite though is the private plunge pool. It had by far the best position and views of the caldera. It was simply breath taking it by far exceeded my expectations which were already quite high. I had done a fair amount of research and I can quite confidently say that you would struggle to get any better for your budget. What also made our stay very special were the staff. Joanna assisted all the way through with our booking and ensuring everything was perfect for our arrival. Maria who was the receptionist was one of the most charming and helpful people you could hope to meet. Athena who looked after our refreshments and food orders in the day was so sweet. The pool guy, the bell boy they were just all a real credit to the Ducato.

Hotel Orizontes is in the ideal location on the outskirts of the beautiful village of Pyrgos. The staff are amazingly helpful and extremely knowledgeable. We had a fantastic week in Santorini and will definitely be visiting again.

We stayed there just for one night but we had a horrible experience. The hotel is located next to the airport so you can hear all the planes coming in. Staff was un helpful we wanted to get a boat for Mykonos but they kept telling us that we needed to book one day in advance or go to Phira to buy tickets which was not true we could buy tickets on the same day and directly at the port. Its hard to beleive that working in tourism they would not know this information...it fellt like they wanted to make us stay longer. Breakfast was of poor quality and at 10am sharp the manager was scolding people if they took more food reminding them in an unpleasant way that breakfast was finished. The room itself was simple, the bed was hard as a rock and there was a cockroach !!! Would not recommend AT ALL

This was a perfect place to stay: charming, quiet, romantic, breath-taking,.. Breakfast was served on our terrace each morning as we marveled at the view, and in the evening, the same view offered beautiful sunsets. The owner provided his own delicious wine. He's very attentive as is the rest of his staff. We could easily walk to restaurants, shopping, sights, and public transportation in less than five minutes. Taxis are called immediately as wll. The staff also recommended some activites for the island, one of which was a fabulous sunset cruise on santorini-cruises.com to tour the volcano, swim in the Mediterranean hot springs, have dinner and watch the sunset on a boat that was NOT overcrowded like all the others. We were so grateful for this recommendation! We hope to return to Santorini and when we do, we will book the Cori Rigas again!

When you see pictures of a hotel you start to create expectations on your mind that usually for short when you see the real thing. Ikastikies, I'm happy to say, surpassed my expectation. It started on my taxi ride to the hotel. I'm not sure if I was lucky or everyone at Santorini knows everyone else, but the taxi driver must have told the hotel owner George that we're arriving because he was at the parking area waiting for us when the taxi arrived. I was first taken aback when he offered to take my luggage (he didn't identify himself then. Once he took us to the hotel, which was only a minute walk from the parking area, he offered to upgrade us from a 2 person bedroom to a 4 person one. He first introduced us to everyone who worked there. It's a family business so he assured use that the hotel is very safe. Since we got there around noon the room was not ready. He recommended us to walk to Fira (7-10 minutes walk with a picturesque view of Santorini) to have lunch and assured us that the room would be ready by then. Ready it was and he let us pick either the room that we've booked or the free upgrade he offered. We took up on his offer. Please see the photos of the hotel on the room quality. It's better than any words I could use to describe it. Instead I want to highlight George. If every hotel that I stay has someone like George this would be a much better world already :). George is cheerful, caring and he services from the heart. He makes foreigners in a foreign location feel very welcome. The hotel comes with breakfast. It tasted better after hearing from George as he described each component of the otherwise standard bread, cold cuts, omelette you'd see in a breakfast. I got a good deal (I think)from Agoda (probably because this is not peak season yet)but even at rack rate I think it's worth it.

Christina was absolutely wonderful and made our stay in Santorini so spectacular! She was welcoming, considerate and very accommodating! The staff were all very professional, the views were spectacular, and the overall experience was one of the best we have had!

an excellent boutique small luxury hotel with excellent service. But what was missing from the description was how difficult it would be for us to find the location especially when we had hired a car. It may be easier to get a taxi as the drivers should know where the hotel was. When we arrived in the town no one seemed to know where the hotel was. located on the rock. Eventually we found the closest parking in the street as the location of the hotel has no parking. After meandering and walking through the narrow paths for about 300 meters, taking 35 steps down the street the hotel reception was located. They were fast to send the concierge up to our car to collect the luggage. our room was 75 further steps down the rock from the reception. There were more rooms below us - the farthest room 101 steps down from the hotel reception. Once you get out of the hotel to see the island you have to move the car. When you get back no parking available and you have to search for any place that could easily be about half a mile away on top of the rock. The hotel facilities and the staffs are excellent.

We like the location most , right in the heart of Santorini and Fira itself, overlooking the Caldera, in the middle of shopping area. Room number 9 is the best. Daily breakfast on balcony with a great view was awesome. The hotel staff were so nice and caring, thank you very much George, Angela, Danny and Alma, you turned our vacations from better to best, applause to your jobs well done. It was our second visit to Santorini Island and if we will come again we will definitely stay at Theoxenia Boutique Hotel in Santorini.

We traveled to Santorini for our honeymoon, and spent eight nights at Avant Garde suites in October. We were upgraded and looked after brilliantly by Zoey and the team. One of the reasons we chose Avant Garde was for self catering. The upgraded rooms do not have a kitchenette, so Zoey offered me the use of the hotel kitchen (mostly used for breakfast), which was absolutely wonderful. The views from Avant Garde are spellbinding, and the breakfast is served in your room and you can enjoy the view from your balcony while munching on great quality breakfast. The location is also amazing. You are very close to Akotiri village, which has several tavernas and a mini market, and also some beautiful views from the town. Red Beach, the historical Akotiri ancient excavation site, and about ten tavernas and bars are a half hour stroll away on the eastern side of the island. Also, there is a bus stop right out the front of the property and a friendly and well appointed mini market just across the road. Facilities include an outdoor pool and bar, an indoor pool which includes a spa, and a small exercise area (fit balls, some mats, a good treadmill and a basic cross trainer). The rooms are well appointed, the wifi is really good (we even hooked our laptop into the TV so we could watch NETFLIX), the mattress is good quality and you have a lovely balcony with an amazing view and a private Jacuzzi. The only thing to be mindful of is the wind as the property is exposed (cant have the amazing panoramic view over the caldera (cliff edges leading to the water where the volcano site is) without exposure to the elements. Travelling in early October we likely hit a period of strong winds. Five stars all around. Great stay!

The owner Sophia is very nice and friendly. The room we booked was a very big room and clean, equipped with anything you need for your trip including air-condition. The only thing is the location a bit far from Oia, it shouldn't be a problem if you plan to drive, it will be a bit far to walk to Oia. And please note that there is only 1 car park allocated for Heliophos. Overall, I would say that this is a nice hotel (traditional cave house) that you may want to consider :)

Bellboy is powerful as he help to carry our luggage over 100-stair up and down，must contact the hotel first otherwise u will pick the lugguage yourself.

Beautiful cosy little apartment with full amenities. Had a private outdoor tub, with kitchen amenities and sufficient space indoor. Getting to Fira town took almost 20 minutes walk. But you can take the local bus, and the bus stop is just directly outside the hotel. Great stay and totally worth the money! PS: You need to ascend and descends steps like more Greek Islands.

Well, this was a special trip for my 60th birthdays, and this place was the icing on the cake!!! This high end B&B was in the middle of everything, you did not need a car as there was even a bus from the airport for less than 2 euros. The staff i only met Miss Zerah was amazing, she was at our beck and call. Santorini is a dream place no doubt, and this hotel was so beautiful...the jacuzzi on the roof top terrace, pool in the back.... I would only add a microwave to the room for perfection, but it seems Greece in general is not big on microwaves. Other than that...perfect!!!!
