Traveling to Japan? Find Sapporo hotels

It's my 2nd time with Tmark City Hotel Sapporo, and it's also my 2nd time at Sapporo. I am glad to stay here once again, this time round, I stayed a smaller room. As expected, is a small room w everything equipped. When arrival on a raining day, and we don not have umbrella, so we are pretty quite wet after the walk from the station... They immediately pass us towel for us. Not our first stay, yet we will be back here next time at Sapporo too.

I'm so happy for choosing this hotel in Sapporo. Travelling as a group of five, so the connecting room was great. The hotel is still new, so you can expect that it is very clean. The location is great, in the middle of tanukikoji. Access from the metro station is easy, just follow the instruction in the hotel website, and you won't get lost. Staff were all nice and helpful. Remember to visit the second floor for the bath, massage chair (coin operated), and great choice of selection of beverages in their vending machine.

Booked here for 5 nights , its still actually our 3rd night. The hotel room is good for 2 pax, japan standard room os pretty small. But everything is clean, the staff are all nice specially those in the breakfast buffet (which you should not miss). They provide all the toiletries and some ladies freeby in reception. Free drinks in reception too, if you have nothing to do just hang out there and get some drinks. The subway station is nearby that makes it easy going to sapporo station and nearby attractions. There is a bus stop beside the hotel when you need to go airport. Going back to breakfast, they have the most tasty japanese with asian and western buffet spread, i really loved it. Must be there early thou specially weekends there can be a lot of people. Im still enjoying my stay. Well recommended. Keep it up.

By Japan standards, this is a decent-sized room for the price you pay, though some may still find it a bit of a squeeze. It is a basic room with no room safe and no wardrobe - just a clothes bar for you to hang your clothes. Do not go to the wrong hotel. There is another JR Inn in Sapporo. This one is the JR Inn Sapporo South. It is better to walk via the underground pedestrian network as it protects you from the weather. As you emerge from the Sapporo Station, just walk towards APIA, then walk towards the Toho Line (also spelt as Touhou) till you reach Exit 21 or 22. Exit 22 is nearer, as you will emerge near to Richmond Hotel. Around the corner will be the JR Inn Sapporo South. But be warned that you have to climb up 6 flights of stairs if you emerge from Exit 22. Exit 21 is slightly further away, but one section of Exit 21 is served by an escalator. You still need to climb the rest of the way. So if you have heavy luggage, this can be a problem. HDMI port of TV cannot be accessed

We were on a 3 weeks holiday through Japan (Osaka, Kyoto, Hakone, Tokyo & Hokkaido). This was the best hotel we stayed in. Location is excellent. We came from New Chitose Airport by direct train (no transfers required, which is important if you have kids with you) and got off at JR Sapporo Station. The hotel is connected to JR Sapporo Station via the underground mall. So in winter (we stayed there on 1 to 3 Dec 2017), you wouldn't be exposed to the cold from the airport all the way to the hotel. The hotel is about a 5 to 10 mins underground walk from the JR Station. One major draw of Sapporo is the winter illumination. That was 5 mins walk through the underground from the hotel. So again, excellent location! The major shopping and nightlift area of Susukino is also connected through the underground walkways. We booked a triple room with breakfast. The breakfast was amazing! Food was good and service was great! Just an example, they served 2 types of fresh milk. One was an organic fresh milk and another was a local Hokkaido fresh milk. Another example was that the pancakes and waffles station had whipped cream, cream cheese, maple syrup and 6 different types of honey to go with the pancakes and waffles. A first time ever I've experienced such detail at just one station. The soft boiled eggs station had a little rock placed there with a sign that said "stone for cracking egg". It was a little humorous but yet another little sign of attention to detail. We stayed 2 nights and I was looking forward to the next day's breakfast. There are just so many things I could say about this hotel that totally made it a very memorable stay. This is the hotel I would stay in over and over if I were in Sapporo again.

This is the best hotel we have stayed in during our whole Japan trip. Much better than most hotels in Tokyo (in size and price). This is very near the subway which makes it convenient to travel to known tourist spots. A convenient store is also located just right beside the hotel. A few meters walk you will be in Susukino where most of the malls and restaurants are. Also 1 stop away from Odori Park. Great location and will definitely stay in the same hotel when we come visit Sapporo again soon.

Staff were friendly and efficient. Laundry facilities work fine but would be better if there is a coin dispenser (detergent dispenser takes 10 yen coins, washer and dryer takes 100 yen coins, IIRC). It's close to the action on Odori Park. The bus from airport stops here to drop passengers, but if you want to catch a bus to airport early in the morning, you will have to check if they stop at nearby Resol Hotel (5-10 mins walk) or Grand Sapporo Hotel (15-20 mins walk). Nearby Nishi 11 chome station only have stairs, as do many entrances to the underground plaza linking Odori station and Sapporo station.

Century Royal Sapporo Hotel is located near the Odori subway station. It is also connected underground to the mall, making it very convenient for hotel guests. Good breakfast buffet spread, too. Downside is the limited number of TV channels for guests looking for entertainment in English. Good thing wifi is strong and you just rely on your gadgets for your entertainment needs.

Location is the best, a few steps away from JR Sapporo station and restaurants/cafes/shops. I am a return traveller and this time I travelled with family of 4, including 2 elderly. The hotel staff were hospitable, friendly, polite and helpful, especially with assisting me with an onsen booking. They also noted down all my needs before my arrival and were able to satisfy my requests and even wow’ed me with extra service. All staff were friendly and polite, even the floor staff. Rooms were clean and amenities were complete. You can even use their breakfast room after hours to make a cup of tea/coffee. I would recommend this hotel to those travelling with children/elderly or those who want to stay close to Sapporo station

After staying at a tiny hotel in Sapporo and a traditional hotel in Noboribetsu, this was a refreshing change. A very comfy, spacious, modern zen-furnished and nice new hotel in the heart of Sapporo with an in-house Onsen. Just note that the Women and Men Onsens alternate between morning and afternoon on 3th floor and 5th floor. Reception was very helpful but not all of them could speak English well. Check-in time is 3pm but fortunately they had a room ready when we were there before 1pm. There's a convenience store on Level 1. We did not try the restaurants. The hotel is close to the happening Susukino neighbourhood. You can walk from JR Sapporo station using the underground walkway and exit at Pivot Department Store of Pole Town underground shopping tunnel only if you have light or trolley luggage as it is a good 20/25 mins walk. But you soon forget the distance as you shop or take tea/lunch/dinner breaks along the way. There are plenty of shopping at PARCO, Tokyo Hands, Pivot, Zara, H&M, Mitsukoshi and the famous Tonuki Koji shopping street. You can take the Streetcar (tram) Line which costs 170 yen per adult at the tram stop a short distance from the hotel. There's also a stop at Ropeway Iriguchi station where you can take a shuttle bus to catch a cable car ride up Mt Moiwa. The local ladies come dressed in their nice kimonos to the beer garden and summer street festival with street performances. The Yakitori and Unagi restaurants are a must try. One final piece of important advice - book very early if you plan on staying in Sapporo on Saturday because the rate goes up to sgd500-1500 as it gets closer to travel time. I don't know if this is the norm or because of the summer festivities on Aug 6, 2016.

I've stayed at four other hotels in Sapporo and this one is a nice balance between price, comfort and location. Our room was a little more spacious at a lower price point than a couple of the business-type hotels we previously stayed at in Sapporo. It is located along Odori Park, but the hotel is several blocks away from the nearest subway exit, which makes a big difference when one is traveling during the winter time over icy sidewalks. The hotel was newly renovated so the room was very clean, but the toilet was smaller than the standard western toilets I'm used to in the U.S. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and thank the staff for making the stay a pleasant one.

Will book with this hotel again in future travel, my husband and I felt lucky to have chosen this hotel in Sapporo, guest relation officer mr nagazawa is excellent, all staff at the reception wonderful attentive servive

I was travelling to Sapporo with 10 other family members and had booked 5 rooms. The location is very near to the sapporo station where it provides excellent access to all the places that we wanted to visit. The staff are nice and well versed with English. They are also very kind to provide us advice on where to visit. They are very helpful in helping us to get information even if they do not know the details. The breakfast buffet was nice and value for money. Facilities is satisfactory given the cheap hotel price. The room was well maintained and clean always. The toilet is clean and nice, as I am quite particular with toilets. Overall a great experience with this hotel and definitely will visit there again if i were to go Sapporo next time. Good Job.

Located right outside exit 3 of Honsui Susukino metro station, linked to the covered underground mall Pole Town (which stretches from Susukino area to Sapporo Station). Walking distance to Nijo market, Don Quiote and Daiso. Many evening food options in the susukino area, very lively after the closure of malls at 8-9pm. Convenience shop on ground level of hotel. Hotel has vending machines, laundry, trousers press, hair salon on ground floor. Rooms are more spacious than newer hotels by Japan standards, this hotel is older than neighboring Mercure or Daiwa Roynet. It is clean and pleasant in the rooms, beds are good, pillow is excellent in terms of neck support (easily the best pillow i have had in hotels). Every room has a bath tub for a soak and japanese styled bathroom. One down side is that the wall in the shower area is rather moist and stained and probably should be changed soon.

We stayed in the standard size room this time. The room is big and we can move around freely. It’s a room with a lot of window so that u can enjoy the sunshine easily. The hotel room is clean and tidy. The hotel staff can speak and understand English well. The only point that it has an disadvantage over other Sapporo hotel is the location (it takes 8-10mins walk from JR station). Overall, a good choice to stay in Sapporo.

Paid triple room for two nights about $470++[breakfast for 3]. Thought it was a steal & booked after reviewing many hotels in Sapporo. Very basic room but everything was there. H/e, I won’t repeat booking if coming back if given the same room quality. Staff are good and courteous, location is about 1km from Sapporo station. There are under pass with many shops and restaurants from Sapporo station to almost hotel.

The hotel is closed to Shin-Sapporo station both subway and JR, it takes about 10 minutes to get Sapporo station. Around the hotel, there are shopping mall, for shopping and dinning. The room is larger than orher hotel in sapporo that I stayed, Only one complaint is wifi is available around lobby.

The hotel location is superb. The room although a little but small but as a typical japan. This would consider average. However, the view is fabulous ( try all 4 sides and still like everyside) The service staff has no flaw here. I can only think of few other hotels that has a more impressive service than this one (those are not in hokkaido and also come with ridiculously expensive price). The breakfast is average to 5 stars level The hot spring is nice consider this in the middle of sapporo (of couse you can not compare with ryokan that located in natural onsen area) Overall, it is the best hotel in sapporo in term of quality, No matter you are business man, couple, or family.

Very conveniently located to the JR Sapporo station (as long as it doesn't rain or snow). High quality toiletries are provided (no shower cap though). Their twin room is bigger sized than most rooms in Japan with plenty of space to move around even with two big luggage laid out. Complimentary breakfast choices are limited and the same every day, but all are of high quality. Love their fresh Hokkaido milk and their potato salad - they were my daily must-haves when I stayed there for 5 nights. Front desk staff always have a great smile and never failed to greet guests. There is only one pillow provided per bed in the room, but you are always welcome to get another pillow of your preference from the pillow selection next to the front desk. Amazing hotel - I will definitely stay again if I'm visiting Sapporo again.

Just a street next to Sapporo JR station, the basement subway also linked to JR station, which is very convenient The room are small and comfortable, just like other hotels in japan, but trendy designed with essential equipments But the price is a bit high when comparing to other hotel in sapporo

The distance was a bit too far for me. I booked this erroneously without realizing there were a lot of hotels in Sapporo with same name. The hotel couldn't allow for a change. They were not flexible on laundry service. No pressing irons to lend to clients. The laundry service takes a day to be ready. I feel this has to change. All in all, good service.

We stayed here because none place whatsoever available in Sapporo that weekend, but we were nor dissapointed. Not that far from Chitose station, super clean, love the shampoo and soap provided, must be high end ones. The room is big compared to other hotels we stayed in Japan. Totally recommended

The Sapporo Park hotel is one of the nicest hotels I have stayed at in Japan, and I would definitely consider coming back. The staff and service levels are excellent, and the breakfast is good. I had a problem with my reservation when I checked in over the Christmas period – my own fault – but the staff and management at Front Desk were very helpful and they resolved my reservation issue straight away. The hotel is walking distance to shops and restaurants, and just minutes away from the main streets. The subway station is also right next to the hotel, and located one stop away from central Susukino and Odori stations. There is also a hotel shop downstairs in the lobby if you need snacks and drinks. The room is nice and comfortable, although still small as usual for Japanese hotels. I booked a family room and had expected it to be bigger. But it is just a standard room with an extra bed in it. If you get a room facing the park, the views are just gorgeous. The park next to the hotel is lovely, we were there over winter, and it was still so nice to go for a walk there. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay and we have nothing to complain about. I will definitely consider staying here again if I ever return to Sapporo.

The hotel was so good, I literally bothered to even leave them a review on Google! CUSTOMER SERVICE WAS FANTASTIC! They spoke super good english (this young fair lady, sorry did not get her name). We were travelling around Hokkaido, Osaka, Kyoto for a total of 12 to 13 days. This was the BEST hotel among all the hotels we stayed at. I wished all the hotels had such good service, such good breakfast, and such good locations. If you want to rent a car (we were just lucky TIMES CAR was just across the road, like 1 min walk), we did not know it was this close to the hotel when we initially booked the car online 3 months prior to arriving to SAPPORO. 1st day of our JAPAN trip, we arrived in SAPPORO, there is a CHUO bus to the HOTEL (it stops across the road 1 ~ 2 min walk from IBIS Styles but it only starts at 12pm from the airport, but from the hotel to the airport, it starts at 7.45am. So we took another CHUO bus, that stops slightly further away from IBIS Styles hotel, this bus stop was a 7min walk to the hotel... Reached the hotel around 11.45am or so, as it was raining heavily, and we were soaking from the rain, I asked if we could have early check in, and they said they would try their best to speed up house keeping for us (within an hour). So I said ok, we will go for lunch and come back. As i walked to my family in the lobby sitting area, trying to pack and dry our luggage before leaving them with the conceirge (the lady saw how tired and soaking wet we were from the storm outside) she actually quickly made arrangements, came to us and said that the rooms will be ready in 10 mins. MY HEART WAS FILLED WITH GRATEFULNESS. SHE WENT UP WITH US TO THE ROOMS, just to make sure the rooms were ready. WOW! SUPER SUPER SUPER THANKFUL. We took hot showers, rested before heading out for lunch. Oh yes, and they serve super good breakfast. I am not a breakfast person, I prefer to sleep in... This hotel is fairly new, about 3 years old and it's more modern than the other hotels in Sapporo area. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. We like that the rooms are more spacious than the other hotels we browsed and the interior is quite modern. The hotel's location is excellent, it's within 5 minutes walk from Sapporo station and Tokyu dept store. There are a lot of good restaurants around the hotel so you don't need to worry about food. Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone going to sapporo!

A little corridor in the room, it makes the room much more larger and more space to place our luggage. We lived in the highest floor -25/F, which can look at the whole Sapporo. A really nice view outside the hotel. But we cannot see the Odori Park and the Television Tower, because we are horizontally aligned with it. Price is super cheap among other hotels in Sapporo.

This hotel has become our place to stay when in Sapporo. I have stayed at other hotels while in Sapporo, but this is an excellent choice for singles and families. They can make the larger than normal (for Japan) rooms fit up to four beds; the internet is direct connect (no wireless in the room), but it is a solid connection to the internet.

Very impressed with the hotel's 5-star hospitality. Room was great and staff extremely helpful! Though not next to subway station, it's convenient with a bus stop for many bus lines running right in front of the hotel. Short taxi trips to many key locaions. Stayed at other Sapporo Hotels but would still choose Renaissance again.

Pros - Great location, walking distance to Odori Park, Sapporo TV Tower, Tanukikoji Shopping Street & Pole Town shopping, which is linked to JR Station shopping too - Reasonable price - Very clean because the hotel is still pretty new Cons - Staffs’ English is not very good - Room is kind of small, but I believe most hotels in Sapporo are similar I love the location of the hotel though it is not at the location where you can have Odori Park and Sapporo TV Tower views. The location is walking distance to many Sapporo’s places of interest. I will recommend this hotel to those who do lots of walking to sightseeing for their holiday.

I and my friends stayed here for 5 nights and we had a pleasant stay. It's 1 minute walking distance away from Hosui Susukino subway station (blue line) which is 2 stations away from JR Sapporo station. The problem was we couldn't find lift/escalator at Hosui Susukino subway station so we took stairs and carried our heavy luggages. It's better to go to Susukino subway station (green line). It's about the same distance (just a little bit further). The hotel is very near to souvenir shop which sells all the popular snacks, the famous ramen yokocho and other eating places. It was very crowded on friday night because there are many bars and pubs around there. Lawson mini market just steps away from the hotel. We also booked a day tour to Furano and Lake Toya and this hotel is not the meeting point where the tour travel picks up the guests. Most hotel bathrooms in Japan are quite small. Our bathroom is quite large and the room is very clean. What I can say that the Mercure hotel in Sapporo is well maintained compared to other Mercure hotels in other countries. I was quite disappointed because it didn't provide a free mineral bottles (not even a welcome drink) in our room whereas other hotels which are small can give such service.
