We had a marvelous stay in Sohar at the Crowne Plaza Hotel. Wonderful interiors, very good service and some excellent dining too, must recommend the hotel's Mediterranean Restaurant for the salmon and sea-bass dishes. Very reasonably priced too for a luxury hotel. My only qualm was that the pool bar was closed.

We (myslef and my wife)enjoyed stsying in this hotelis clean,attractive,quite ,frienly workers, not far from city centre and shopping areas, and the sea side,and other attractive points.the price was oK . We enjoyed swimming and relaxation in the hotel. room was neat,clean and nicely furntued and equipped. If we visit Sohar next time we shall stay in Al Wadi Hotel, and recommend it to my friends and thier families. We being newly married had a nice stay in Sohar and mainly in this hotel, In general I am very pleased with dealing and reserving hotels via agoda. very nice hotels and excllent offers. This was a great find! Decided to stop over on a driving trip from Muscat back to Abu Dhabi... Sohar is a very peaceful and beautiful little city. The hotel is literally right on the beach next to a public park and beach which is a great place to hang out around sunset. The hotel is not new but is well maintained. My room, which was in one of the outer (presumably newer) buildings, was modern and immaculate. The hotel also has a nice restaurant and a pub that seems to be very popular with Omanis.. a great place to meet and chat with the locals who are so friendly! I arrived on New Years Eve and upon hearing that there would be a party that night (no surprise) my host Ali immediately changed my room at my request to one that was not overlooking the courtyard. All quiet on the Western Front! All in all very pleased with the service, the location and the amenities during my 2 day stay here. PS: the swimming pool is awesome and is deep!.. unlike almost all other hotel pools these days

the room was spacious, the water not so hot even when I turned on the water heater, booked for 2 people but only one towel, no bathmat. That said the bed was comfortable and clean and they did their best at breakfast to please you. 15 minutes walk to Safeer Mall and a couple of restaurants along the way. Would stay there again but like most hotels in Oman a bit overpriced.

This is a nice hotel outside of Sohar. If you have your own transport, this is a good value for money option. The hotel rooms are very large and nice, some of them have verandahs and all rooms are arranged around a pool (motel-style). Unfortunately our ground-floor windows were not lockable and we had to ask for adjustment late at night. Staff were helpful and offered a new room immediately without any hesitation. Breakfast was included and consisted of different European and local dishes. The center of Sohar is very nice, has many old white buildings, a fort , a nice mosque and a lovely corniche for walks along the sea. We enjoyed it as a lovely stop on our trip across Oman.

We stayed here for 10 days and we were impressed with the service and the food. We used room service most evenings and thought the food was of a very good standard. The kitchens have a fridge and cooker, but no pots, crockery of cutlery which is a bit awkawrd. They have kettles and there is an ample supply of tea, coffee and milk powder. There is also a washing machine (but no drying facilities). Breakfast is good with a wide selection. The staff were very efficient and friendly. we would definitely stay here again and recommend it to friends.

we usually stay at the crown plaza which is priced twice as manam sohar, we couldn't trust the other sohar hotels...we gave a shot for manam sohar and it was worth it for a night stay.... the breakfast was a bit indian to the average tourist... car park is available and is free... the hotel got a kitchen, inc. fridge, microwave, etc..

The hotel is great for the city. The room is big and very clean. It has a small kitchen and a small laundry area. It is a good room to stay for a longer period of time, like a week or two. The building is near a beach so the view from the room is really nice. I do think the beach is not very clean, so it is not worth it to go to the beach. I also think that for a four star hotel, their toiletries should not be at the minimum - there was no dental kit in the bathroom.

We arrived in the late evening, we were greeted by a friendly staff, but we were expecting the worst because of the 3.9 rating. We were very pleasantly surprised to find a bright clean room with excellent mattresses. The staff helped organize the room so our 10 year old would be comfortable with a "smile ". They helped us find good inexpensive food even at the late hour. The rooms a very clean, as was the hallways and lobby. The elevator was a bit small and noisy, the only real negative. We did eat at the hotel, i can't comment on food services. The big negative,which is not the hotel fault, is the highway work makes it difficult t get to the access road that the hotel sites on and the heavy equipment noise in the mid morning is notable especially if the windows are open. Over all the 3.9 rating in not a fair assessment of this property, it's a nice road side hotel at an excellent price close to restaurants, food markets, other more exclusive hotels and only a 15 minute drive to major malls, it's not fancy but well maintained and has a reasonable staff.

Hotel need to be managed by people who knows about the Hospitality, the hole is like divide into two section. 1- moderate service in terms of cleaning and facilities. 2- bad services, No lift, not clean, small beds, very expensive according to the facilities and services, Rooms very far from the ladder, TV not working, no wifi in rooms, breakfast was not meeting the expectation

This is my second visit to this wonderful hotel. Located at sea edge and set as a holiday resort, it is not far from town or port where most business is conducted. At the end of day of my 6 night stay, I had enjoyed the cooled swimming pool with the great bar at pool edge and an extremely friendly bar tender "Rakesk" maybe wrong spelling of his name but he is 12 of 10 score for customer service and professional bar tending. The Thai restaurant is the best feed I had in Sohar and the cook is authentic Thai Chef. The bar with a lovely balcony as well as great air conditioned saloon. The roof top cafe with "Shisha" is a gret relaxing setting with a friendly attendant.

When I booked in this hotel 2 rooms for 2 nights for my family I didn't know that I will enjoy this hotel the way we did!!! The rooms are like a big villa room, actually like a presidential suite. I found the location nice in proximity to Al Safir mall and all the other attractions in the area. The team are excellent and helpful, you can not expect better... We enjoyed our stay and booked a further night then another further night. I was receiving guests in the lobby of the first floor, we were eating on the tables and it was like you are in a wonderful villa,
