"We were only here for one night so can only judge it on what we experienced overnight in a wet and miserable Southampton. We didn't eat here so please disregard my scoring for the food / dining experience. The hotel feels a little bit claustrophobic and lacklustre. Maybe in the summer with a little bit more natural light I might have felt differently but it did seem somewhat dark in the corridors and room. The room itself was nicely appointed but not exceptionally so. The bar was expensive and devoid of character. However, for all that the hotel is certainly functional and is nevertheless a good 4* but without the little bit extra that would give it that wow factor."

"excellent accommodation, service and good food. excellent value for money. we stayed here as a stop over before embarking on a cruise leaving from southampton. the 12 noon checkout was a pleasant surprise as it enabled us to have a walk around southampton shops, hotel is very near a large shopping centre, before having to check out. reception staff very helpful and obliging and the taxi that was ordered arrived within 5 minutes - excellent service all round. would recommend hotel to anyone. "Staff couldn’t do enough to help with any issue you may of had. Hotel was clean, as were the rooms. Games area for those who want to relax and relive their childhood (table football, pool and a quantity of board games). Only changes I wood make would be the time of night that they serve food until (limited to either crisps/nuts or ordering a takeaway by 11pm) and either the price or variety of breakfast (continental options very limited if staying for more than one night). All in all a great place to stay. Will certainly visit again."

"My stay at the IBIS Southampton was for one night which was very comfortable, I had the best night sleep EVER in a hotel - much better than all those others advertised which claim they have the most comfortable beds! I had to be moved rooms as there was an 'odour', the staff were very friendly and helpful and changing rooms was no bother at all."
