sleepy little town mostly blue collar folks seems little has changed since the Roman empire neglected by the government and locals are inefficient great tourist opportunity that is missed and underdeveloped
This is a great holiday destination, lots of beach activities and excellent restaurants. The area is surrounded by historic and religious sites that are only a short drive from the centre of town
Peaceful and not flooded with religious tension. Another face of Israel. Transportaion from airport is not that direct to Tiberias.
Taxi is expensive, about NIS800. Travellers are recommended to take from airport to Haifa (Lev Ha Mifratza Station - actually a shopping mall) then walk to Haifa Cetral Bus Station. They are just next to each other, walkable even with lugguage. From the Central Bus Station take Egg Bus No.430 to Tiberias Central Bus Station
It's a great place to visit, there are heaps of attractions, plenty to do!! The scenery is breath taking and the water is amazing!!
