"Very clean hotel, good breakfast. Easy to get taxi. English speaking staff at front desk. Only thing I would say they couldn't bring us water in the middle of the night as they said they didn't have this service. This was very inconvenient as we had two little ones in the room with us. Unable to adjust heating mode from heating to aircon mode as they told us the system was on one mode for the entire hotel due the specific season which again was inconvenient as we had to open the massive windows while on the 7th floor with two little ones running around which was onerving. "The hotel is strategically located and you can take a nice stroll to the city which is about 3km away - I did :) A few nice restaurants and bars nearby too so you really don't have to worry about getting breakfast, lunch or dinner within the hotel vicinity. I will definitely consider returning to Melia when I visit Valencia next. Side note: They don't provide toothbrush, toothpaste but generous on shampoo, conditioner, body lotion or shower gel. And please opt for the room with full window (ceiling to floor). You won't regret it :) "

"The hotel is well situated in the historic centre of Valencia within walking distance of most of the major sights. We had a lovely spacious, beautifully decorated and comfortable room. The en suite bathroom was large and well equipped with toiletries. The receptionists were charming welcoming and extremely helpful. The room which was equipped with a sparsely stocked minibar was kept spotlessly clean. Tea and coffee making facilities were supplied. Neither robes nor slippers were provided. We had a first floor room overlooking the street facing three bar/restaurants. This meant that there was a certain amount of "street noise". This was magnified during the early hours of the morning by the sounds of the refuse collectors and mechanised street sweeping. There was also considerable "internal" noise from the room above late at night and in the mornings which sounded as if the furniture was constantly being rearranged. It is because of this noise that we feel we could not recommend the hotel as otherwise we had no complaint. "

"The Catalonia hotels we stayed in in both Barcelona and Valencia were about the best accommodation we had whilst travelling through Spain. The locations were good, the rooms clean and overall the service was good. Adequate English TV channels with large TVs made it easy to relax after long days. Fridge did not have a freezer compartment, however, when asked ice was made available. Only poor point was that other guests must have smoked in the rooms before us as there was a smoky odour coming through the airconditioner. Staff were helpful and spoke good English. Generally good value for money and recommended. "
