We loved our stay at First Landing Resort! The people and staff are so lovely and friendly and the atmosphere is one you cannot beat! There was something free to watch or do on every night and we loved the Fijian dancers as we were eating our dinner. The only downside is that you can’t really swim out the front but with the day trips to the island and the great pool area this doesn’t even matter when ur there and living on cocktails and Fiji Time! Would def go back to this resort they go above and beyond for you and you get sung to every night we were lucky enough to get the awesome men with the guitars sing to us on our 10th wedding anniversary, It made our night!

The rooms are gigantic, with spa bathtubs, seating areas, and front verandas. Really good value for money. Food is good, and you have beautiful views of the sea. The property is still being developed/landscaped, so a bit of noise from heavy equipment. Beautiful pool, and WiFi works in rooms and public areas. A bit difficult to get to from the east. Do not follow Google maps through the old sugar cane road unless you have a 4x4 and want to drive on train tracks. Stay on the highway and access the hotel from the west.

We got married here in May 2016, and had about 30 people from Australia come and stay as well. I can say that the new manager (had stayed here previously in August 2015 and the manager at the time was not a nice person at all, lacked a lot of skills required for the industry he was in) and the events and admin manager were great. We always book with Agoda or Booking.com depending on who has the better deals, and you can generally get it much cheaper than the advertised price, which makes the Anchorage great value. It is about 20mins to the airport - great for picking up guests. It's about 35mins to both Nadi town and Denarau, and 15mins to Lautoka. There is 500m of dirt road on the way in. The resort is on a hill, and there is no swimable beach - there is a beach but this resort is on Nadi Bay, so it's not the nicest. There is only 1 restaurant, and 1 large pool that you are allowed to use as a short-term guest. The restaurant serves good meals, on Fiji time. The pool bar is never open, but sometimes the staff will come over and take your drink orders - guess it depends on the number of people around and how you have treated them etc. Ocean view room is large (so are Beach Bure's, stayed in previously) and comfortable with all the basics. The staff are lovely, the asset to their business, just sometimes don't communicate with each other about maintenance tasks (some other guests had issues with rooms). There are some general maintenance things that needed to be attended to, but obviously the focus for the resort is the new building. There is also The Boatshed at Vuda for meals and drinks as an alternative. Our wedding was held in the wedding bure on the hill, and reception in the Delana House reception hall. Special mention to Nileshni, Flower and the team for all their work in our wedding. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again - it isn't 5 star, I call it a rustic 3 star, but Anchorage Beach does the job in terms of price, basic facilities (pools, loungers

We were a group of 10 adults, 5 couples. Our stay in Fiji was wonderful and Sapphire bay was what we expected. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils and pots & pans. Each room had its own air conditioning unit and there was a washer and dryer for guests to use. The pool was the feature of the villa and we used it every day without fail. The pool was clean and crystal clear. We will be returning in the future. We noted that booking taxis through the villa were more expensive, try booking direct with the taxi drivers. A fare to Denarau should be no more than $40FJD.
