"Everything at the Hotel zum Storchen is thoughtfully and sustainably designed and stylishly decorated and the hotel advertises its commitment to environmental awareness. I had a very comfortable few day's stay there, while I was working in the local area. Breakfast was delicious and the restaurant menu looked great and was full of customers (though I didn't actually have the chance to eat there during my stay). The owners and their family were very friendly and welcoming. I had a wonderful stay and look forward to coming back another time, when I have more leisure time to explore the beautiful Black Forest area. "

"My expectations were not high and after arriving at the hotel, the initial impression of the building at the front with the sign "Hotel Suggenbad" was disappointment. However after ringing the door bell, I was guided to a building at the back which housed the hotel rooms. The room was comfortable but the surrounding views and fresh air made for peaceful sleeping. Early next morning I went for breakfast. The raspberries and blackberries with fresh yoghurt were divine. Better than any berries that I've ever had in any 5 star hotel around the world. The bread, meats and cheeses were also good. The coffee was also good but the highlight was the honey. It was just so rich and flavoursome. I asked at reception and was told that it was a local honey collected by a villager. They had two types - one from "flowers" and one from the mountains. They served the mountain type and they gave me the name of the family in the village and I managed to find the house and buy two jars which I took back to Hong Kong. These little things is what makes travelling enjoyable. "
